@mexicanninj In case you're still wanting to know, they're hit-confirming it. Basically, when you do the cr.MP, do the two QCFs (though just a little slower), and pay close attention to what happens after the cr.MP. If it hits, react and piano-input all kicks (assuming SAIII). If cr.MP is blocked or otherwise doesn't hit, stop there. The timing isn't that bad. Just remember you're LINKING cr.MP to super, so you're letting cr.MP completely finish before you activate super, or not, either way.
daigo is good because he is ume. deshiken hit confirms everything he does and plays extremely safe. daigo plays almost risky with his normals because he predicts people's moves well and all his moves hit (tho he also always hit confirms for supers) . diff types of good, the one to learn from is deshiken tho imo. not everyone is pyschic.
yeah on some japanese site , watched it round my friends , he said it takes well long to enter as its all in kanji and quite hard to sign up ( only way to watch videos )
ken has to rush down a no meter chun or he loses the round. plus check the vid, he doesn't sweep hardly ever once chun has meter b/c of easy sa2 reversal. he also dashes up uoh when he smells low mediums so he gets around that chun hit confirm on that rush in. plus chun has no wakeup game so the dashup meaties he does as she is waking up are also in his favor. plus notice how he pretty much stops low forward uppercutting once chun has meter cuz you can't confirm it. he plays safe as hell.

I know this was a video of Deshiken, but who was that Makoto player, since I can't read Japanese (yet)? The first round and first half of the second were awesomely played. I'd like to see some more videos of this player. :D Anyway, wow, Deshiken = wtfpwnage.
I dunno, after watching this video I wouldn't really say he is "beasting"...I mean, he did get beat down a bunch before making a comeback. I would say that beasting is more in line with Fujiwara and his terrifying rushdowns.
@Zeronum2 yeah throw to back have more range than Ryu´s throw to back!! this is very usefull for put your enemy on the corner!! spacing man, spacing xD (sorry about my english xD)
Of course those players are good. But their tactics and skills aren't as related to hit confirmation. Hayao's gifts are defense and Gigas Breaker tactics, Match's are balance and consistency, J's are mixup and enemy prediction, etc. Equally great, but different skillsets.
Thats not the reason why people know him. People also know him for his matches at EVO with the once best player in the world, KO. Or how about him winning SBO with Nuki by beating KO in the final?
I agree with yao on this one. The only reason why Daigo is considered the BEST among everyone is cause he performed an amazing feat againist a lousy player who made a stupid mistake (performing SAII againist a standing ready fighter.) Other beastly players rarely have a chance to do crazy shit like that cuz their opponnet won't let them have the pleasure.
I've never seen Daigo play any games in the Marvel vs. series, World Heroes, King of Fighters franchise, Hokuto No Ken, etc. He mostly just plays Capcom's popular titles. He doesn't play any 3d stuff either like say Nuki, Wong or Valle. Ohnuki, actually plays most, of the games Daigo plays and some titles that Daigo doesn't (Virtua Fighter). And to say that the players haven't mastered the games is also stupid, especially when they win or place high in major tourneys.
Nah man. Nr one Daigo isn't considered the best anymore because he's damn near retired. He hardly plays fighters anymore, or atleast not with the same enthusism. Nr 2, Daigo was considered the best because he's won all the major tournaments in multiple street fighter games. From SF2 hyper, to Alpha 2 and 3 to SF3. His record speaks for itself. The amazing feat just contributes to his legend status.
No one is hating. The truth is that there's actually no real reason for you to say he's the best when he's not actually WINNING the tourneys. Plenty of people play multiple games and do great (Nuki, Yuki Otoko, Kindevu, DB44BAS, Hirai, Valle, Wong, etc.).
Ed Ma is very good, but I'd place Deshiken a notch above him. Ed Ma is even less predictable and changes his approach all the time. Deshiken uses the same tactics throughout, but it's an effective one, and his hit confirmation is mind-boggling, possibly in the same league as Kuroda, Fujiwara, KO and Boss.
is that makoto moutei? MAN... i thought he had that shit! his first round and beginning of the 2nd round was going GOOD. iuno what happened. :( but he ended up getting destroyed.
I you agreed with what he was saying you can't say Daigo's the best. Daigo's not CLEARLY the best in anything. He's just a top player in a bunch of 2d games like a bunch of other fucking players.
Every button he has is basically confirmable to super, and his throw game is very good due to his throw range. As its been a whole decade, hope you’re having a good life and also still hopefully enjoying 3s man. FGC to the world 🌎 💫
@@SimplyBmcHD thank you for the kind greetings, thank you for this message despite all this time. I dont play 3s as much anymore but always enjoy watching. Thanks again
wow he defiantely is good I must say... I thin Diago is better in my opinion...and thats a good point how come we don't see this guy play more...I never see him in hte EVo's or the Ranbats or the SBO's...I don't know I'll go loook...personally though I think Diago is just better at reading people, but techincally thie guy looks SOLID...great player.
And another thing, anyone who seriously players 3S has heard of Deshiken. Unless you're talking about lame scrubs, but who cares what they think? So you're wrong on 2 points.
Deshiken "safe"? That's about the most inaccurate term you can use to describe him. He's far, far more aggressive than Umehara, dashing right into the face of even Chun-Lis like this one. His hit confirmation is far better than Umehara's, but he's probably a lot weaker on defense.
Deshi is more consistent with: Reversals, Links, Kara-SRK and dominating whole teams. Daigo is consistent with being inconsistent? Anyone can see that Deshi is the better player. You just need to look away from your obvious biases..
Ok, the people who would bum Daigo more to the left and people who want to toss Deshi to the right. You idiots, if they both played and let's just say Deshi won, does not mean he is better in SF3 it matters about who can get lucky enough to parry the opponents next move or take advantage when needed to, which is random. Argueing over, this is pointless imo.
Typing in all caps doesn't make your point any more valid or any less stupid. Daigo doesn't come close to playing nearly every 2d fighter and hasn't won a tourney in I dunno how long. I also see that you nearly copy-pasted my entire list of notable players and discredited them. To say that Nuki doesn't win a lot of tourneys in a lot of games like Daigo is not only stupid, but using your logic, is "hating." I'll have to ask you to not hate a CHAMPION IN NUKI.
If you actually think no strategy is needed for Marvel then you're. I can't stand to even play the game and even I know that. US players stand a better chance than you give them credit for. They lose to JP players more often than not in tourney footage but they're perfectly capable of holding their own.
Since when did popularity equal skill? You're implying that Britney Spears is the best singer in the world, just because she's the most popluar. (And we all know that's ridiculous..) Why don't you try to make an argument that Daigo is the better player based on skill? (Although you won't be able to, as Deshi is far superior.)
daigo is just much much much much better than deshiken.....deshiken is a very average player. daigo is GOD. he is not perfect cause he sometimes loses, but is the best
he won the ken only tournament recently,
Deshiken forever
I think this might be my favorite 3rd Strike video ever. Deshiken is too beastly.
@mexicanninj

ill found out today and pass it on, as soon as ive got it, thanks
Deshiken has seriously the best hit-confirm I have ever seen. He's in my opinion the best Ken in the world!!
yeah on some japanese site , watched it round my friends , he said it takes well long to enter as its all in kanji and quite hard to sign up ( only way to watch videos )
"beasting" is an understatement -.-
check shoryuken for updates on where it would be i was told

There is a Makoto player called Mimora, truly a beast of Makoto, and he uses the same color as the video, maybe he is mimora

@Zeronum2 Speed, shoryukens, links, combos, cancels, even throw!!
I didn't know that. Thanks for the info. Don't feel the need to apologise for your English man, it's fine.
@Zeronum2 yeah throw to back have more range than Ryu´s throw to back!! this is very usefull for put your enemy on the corner!! spacing man, spacing xD

best Ken ever is Matsuken hands down, his mind games r nastier and rarely makes mistakes.
That makoto is Shiroitachi.
Deshi ken!!!!
Daigo iz still my fav dow
THE MASTER!
@SIZOK2 His throw?!?!??!
hahahaa gotta love the manual shoryu-reppas'. That alone is a good reason to pick another super move lol. I love doing that.
your flawless is logic
This owns
he did a wake up reversal karakusa
@EvilShinGouki Yeah, that's what I thought. Thanks =D

at 4:49, what did makoto reversal with and still tech?
Okay, now how many different Super-Setups did Deshiken use in these 3 games alone? X)
Thanks. :D

You're right. I wasn't watching closely enough.
Either way, that's some good damage.
Wow he shut that Makoto down in the third.
videos?
Why don't you make an arguement why Deshiken isn't as immensely popular as Daigo?
hes the best in gg and darkstalkers
could be ino, too. hard to tell...
@mexicanninj it's just reaction
How does ken do his c.mp into super like that? I mean I know how to do it, but how can they never miss it, I WANNA KNOW

And thats why everyone has heard of Deshiken over Dia-- oh wait... :P
link
Ken isnt overpowered at all....its just his super ...
3Bars,decent dmg and he can cancel/link it from almost everything.
BROKEN!!!!!
I know him because he's my brother, but I bet you know him through that way :P

valle hardly owned daigo. And it's not hard to beat someone who came out of retirement.
What did OCV stand for again?
one char victory
What makes Ken better than Ryu in 3S?

Jesus, man. Kara shoryu is not to be fucked around with.
Daigo is the best because he parried Justin's super!lol
Deshi > Daigo.
Freakin' Valle owned Daigo.
wow he defiantely is good I must say...

Deshiken > Daigo
lol seriously.
Low punch low kick shoryuken shoryuken👏🏼
Deshiken is horrible, he has no idea how to block, only 50% parry. Daigo is revered around the world.
Wow amazing.. you missed my point entirely. I'll say it again, POPULARITY DOES NOT EQUAL SKILL. I'm done with you.
daigo is just much much much much better than deshiken.....deshiken is a very average player. daigo is GOD. he is not perfect cause he sometimes loses, but is the best
the makoto was amazing till she got knockt the f** out.boring powerful ryu and ken win
beasting? si siempre pierde un duelo, ademas makoto hasta lo stunea xdd sharsha el beasting
Then I get the last word. Your argument is horrible. Daigo actually vsed Deshiken and beat his ass. He actually double perfected him.
