When we are sailing the beginning and end of the trip are often the only parts where we see land. We’ve been out at sea for days or even weeks without seeing anything but birds and waves. But every now and then we find ourselves in a place where we sail by one amazing sight after another, learning more about the lands and culture around us than we ever would with our feet on dry land. This week we are sailing through the heart of the Cyclades islands in Greece and we have the opportunity to really understand what makes these ancient islands tick, all from the comfort of our own cockpit.

First I look at how many minutes I get to watch…. 20:44 today. Even it it was 44:20 it wouldn’t be long enough. Today I paid attention to how many camera changes there were. I can’t image the amount of edit WORK! Perhaps that’s why it is soooo smooth, seamless and the 20 minutes goes so fast. Your family is just a JOY to watch. I wasn’t too sure about the two of you getting a dog to sail along with you, but I don’t think you could have found a more perfect dog to do that with. Oso is such a wonderful dog and I deal with a lot of dogs on a daily basis. He is a keeper for sure! 😊💜
Captain Oso has turned out to be the perfect family companion. What a great dog. And Isabella is such a happy baby….at least when you film her.

Here's a story you made long ago and probably never expected to hear about again.
I am getting older and was looking for a way to get the anchor up without straining my back. I own a Pearson 303 and didn't want the expense of an electric windlass. After a Google search I discovered a manual one made by a company named Lofrans.
Well, there is a RUclips video by you on Atticus 1 on how to install one. I copied the Starboard backing plate and bought the Lofrans from a seller on Ebay. Took a while because he was located in Croatia.

We all need a purpose in life, and in watching the five sailing channels that I watch, I have tried to figure out what each channels purpose is. I do not know what for you your purpose in life is, but for me, your purpose is to keep me sailing even though it’s from my couch. At 70 years old, I enjoy your travels, and it helps to keep me sane! And that’s a good purpose. Thank you for your videos and Isabella and your pup are great entertainment too.

A word about Factor75... They are AWESOME! My 80+ year old parents get them and love them! They are too old and feeble to cook anymore and tried meals on wheels (gag...they were awful and come frozen, ewe!). Factor75 rescued them. They are delicious and taste like someone just made them for you. Can't say enough about them!

From a mom that has had a lot of experience with babies it’s no easy task to break a baby that has always slept with mom and dad. So just be patient with that sweet little girl and maybe put some bright colors and shapes in her sleeping quarters. Also maybe a mobile that whines up with some music so she will keep herself occupied. You guy’s are giving her an awesome experience now and I’m sure she will adjust with whatever you do. I think she is the cutest most precious baby. She just waves when she sees a camera 😂
Convincing baby to sleep alone can be a rough one BUT...Baby is calm, relaxed, because mom and dad are calm and relaxed...welldone.

Along the coast of northern California, the first half of October is prime weather for visiting. No coastal fog, an Indian summer weather, no wind, and beautiful light. Chocolate croissant sounds like a must have.
I really enjoy your site for its simplicity. 3 other sites have bought big NEW catamarans and UMA has become a camping/Van Life site while the completely rebuild their boat, which they haven’t begun with for weeks now. I sailed the Greek islands on a Minesweeper during the Six Days War, not as much fun.
