Thank you! My first yoga teacher trainer told me that exact same thing when I graduated yoga teacher training. It's been my goal each day to smile as much as possible and help people find their own happiness and joy.
I’m in the YTT 200 hours right now, online, but I love your channel because it teaches more of the business side of yoga…I have a pay what you can now class on TikTok, but I wanna expand on that and do everything you do! ❤
I love your videos so much, it prepares my mind for when Im finally done studying and become a certified yoga teacher 💜 Thank you for all your insight 🥰
Hello Ahley, thank you for this video. I want just start my experience as a kundalini yoga teacher at social media. And some your tips will help me surely.❤
Now, I use OfferingTree. Http://OfferingTree.com/ashes is my partner link that includes a discount and a demo video I created for them recently. It’s super simple and affordable. If you have questions, feel free to reach out again.
I'm working towards getting monetized! I'm at 53 watch hours... Still have a long way to go. But I am currently hosting a 4 day challenge and was able to actually charge for that and have people join in. :) Didn't make much from it, but plan to use the recordings for my upcoming membership site. Also, since you have a Diety Mic, I was curious if you noticed sometimes the mic will briefly cut in and out. I'm not sure if that's my mic or just user error, because I don't understand what could be going wrong. Thanks for this video! I'd love to learn more about how much yoga teachers can realistically make working for themselves just through their own membership site and your best tips for running that. Thank you again!
I have the deity pocket wireless, but I don’t use it often. So I can’t say what that problem would be. Keep watching, I’m trying to share as much as I can. Realistically, there is no limit to how much someone can earn with a membership. It’s a great model. Could be hundreds, could be multiple thousands.
My yoga studio earns by selling weapons. They had those weapon wooden boxes in wardrobes...where they hold rifles, so you need to book a yoga class - when purchasing- life on North London ain't easy- sex sell those classes
In my entire business? Currently between $7k and $10k (before expenses and taxes). I started in 2016 and it wasn't until recently I started earning more of a comfortable full-time income. Is it worth starting a fitness channel? It's tough right now. The market for the fitness industry is super saturated. It's not impossible, but the more specific you can get, the better. And you'll want to give it plenty of time to grow while being super consistent.
@@AshleyHagen I agree. I appreciate you being open and sincere. Do you offer courses? Finding a course on fitness is difficult. In order to profit from online fitness What advice would you provide to someone who is just starting out? I apologize for the numerous questions.
@@hectorsanchez1978 If you go to ashesyoga.com/register to watch my latest webinar, that will probably answer many of your questions. Yoga/fitness is very similar and can be applied to many similar industries. Yes, I offer courses and I'm happy to try to answer questions or direct to any resources.
I read the comments and your replies! I have been teaching and uploading to RUclips for years and really need your boost of knowledge NOW. Thank you @Ashley Hagen - Ashes Yoga 🧘♀🧘♀
do you need insurance or liability if you are teaching completely free or with donations? can someone sue you if you offered them an online free yoga class if they got something?
I would definitely recommend having yoga teacher insurance whether you are teaching free or paid classes. Also, make sure people sign a waiver and also insert disclaimers where ever possible. You'll want to do everything you can to keep yourself and your students safe - free or paid. And yes, they could sue you if they are able to prove that your class was the thing that hurt them. The risk of that actually happening, though? I'm not totally sure. I've heard primarily of claims for instances outside of the teaching itself (someone slips and falls, equipment malfunction, etc). You'd have to speak with a lawyer or an insurance company for better answers.
@@AshleyHagen this is great advice. Thank you. I truly appreciate offering all your knowledge with this community. Thank you very much Ashley. Do you offer waiver in your online free morning class or disclaimer? I haven't tried your classes yet but I am watching lots of your RUclips videos. I will have to though! 😉
@@motita6554 Yes, everyone has to check the box to agree to the terms and conditions, which has my waiver information. I'm doubtful people actually read through all of them. And they only have to accept the first time they join. It's good for a year, I think. If I were concerned, I'd also listed a disclaimer in the description and details in the confirmation emails. My morning class is so chill, that I'm not really too worried about causing any injuries in the practice itself. I'd do more if I were teaching advanced practices.
@@AshleyHagen thank you for helping me with this. You are very kind. I will try your class to check, although for me it would be a late afternoon class because of the time difference. Still nice to have a break in the day :)

I love the idea of doing "pay as you can" instead of a donation base!!!
One of your greatest assets is your cheerful smile, Ashley.😊
