An awakened animal becomes a druid and everyone just assumes they're in wildshape all the time.
I love this so much. Druid in disguise. Or pig with amnesia that thinks that they're a humanoid cursed to be a pig and tasks the party to go help them find their memories

Ever since I first read this spell I have wanted to cast this spell. I just never have been a Druid at the right level.
Forget speaking common. What if you know how to speak Infernal and it is hereditary. Imagine thousands of spiders chanting some thing in Infernal coming for a town!

I made an item that allowed in theory infinite use of awaken. I know what i did. 0 regrets. Theyre at 17th level now. There is a gazer who was awakened on a whim and is bitter that the first thing he heard when awakened was "oh no"
In Princes of the Apocalypse page 139, a young Bullete is a Beast and not a Monstrosity like the adults...

I like the Sidekick rules and often ponder of playing one. Armor would be extremely expensive but it'll be fun.
I mean... depending on what you play, getting custom armor might be pricey, but if you're a super small creature, it should cost less in materials
Now I have a Way to make my Giant poisonous snake companion talk, yay.
I gotchu! And if they have the right CR, you could also make them a sidekick too if your DM is cool with it...

You can teach them to be any kind of spellcaster. A charisma caster, intelligence caster, or a wisdom caster too. Enjoy!

@@rafaelpeixes8005hmmmm. Well if the doll is already sentient, I think it could still be eligible for being a sidekick. The rules themselves aren’t homebrew, just variant rules.
And I do like the statue idea. That sounds like fun
Well I mean you could target some Tiny plant or creature and have it dress as a doll. Not exactly the same as having an 'animated doll' but close enough for DnD.

Hydras have an intelligence of 2, and are also only huge creatures.
Spell caster hydra raises a couple questions.
Can they cast multiple spells at once? I would say they can cast spells that have no somatic elements, or the somatic element is only head movement. Up to the number of heads they have
Can they concentrate on a spell per head? I don’t see why not.
The power a magic hydra could possess would be absolutely incredible. Think of a bard hydra. It could cast viscous mockery 5 times in a single turn in, and be a one man roasting crew dealing 5, 10, 15 or 20 d4 damage
Also quick look, a 5th level wizard hydra could cast immolation 5 times in a single turn and deal 40d6 (or more! Maybe he has more than 5 heads) fire damage, good luck dealing with that. Gotta have a team of wizards doing counterspell to stop him.
