    For anyone having issues using the divide geometry tool due to the way the vector design was created (mine keeps coloring weird parts of the design and not working as a way to erase the vector lines), I would suggest just use the subtract instead. I almost find it faster.
    Thanks for the tutorial Rachel. Love your channel! I was wondering if there are any other ways to erase vector line sections. My design seemed to only break into 5 sections and not be broken down much making it difficult to erase. It was an AI file. I'm not sure if that was the reason.

    Hello. This following comment will reveal a BIG frustration of mine.This comment is a PROTEST to all kind of videos( clickbait and not only) where the main topic is this practice to fool people, to misled people, to LIE to people to believe that KDP succes will come overnight like a magic.I follow your channel for many many months now and you were one of the people that convinced me to join this wonderful world KDP.I dont dismiss your channel entirely, I follow your knowledge and advices, I put in practice what you are teaching, I respect you a lot, I thank you for your time spent to share with others your experience etc. But is deeper than that and I will explain later. After almost a year since i first had a view on this bussiness i started to publish, iIhave 8 projects in almost 2 weeks published, I spent a lot of time on doing a good cover, interior, A+ content( even if they are just notebook). I love what i am doing, I love to design, to create, to give life for my inspiration and all of that has its toll,I disconnected from real life: forgot to eat, to shower, to go shopping for my daily basis things, this is how dedicated I am on what I am doing, I am very passionate about this.I am patient, I am hard worker, I dont expect to became successful overnight, I expect my first sale to come after some months, meanwhile I will work and produce more, so i understand this is a long run and i want to do it someday as a full time job, as a career, to be able to live from this earnings. And here comes the ugly,nastier part: I WILL EXPLAIN MY FRUSTRATION,ANGER,PROTEST. NO ONE will share their niches just like that, no one will give away their secrets, no one will give up their ways on making money FOR FREE WITHOUT HIDDEN AGENDA, HIDDEN INTERESTS. What those are? Let me explain: selling courses, affiliate programs with CANVA, BOOK BOLT, CREATIVE FABRICA....RUclips likes, shares,following the channel and so on.Well here is the CATCH: you, by one part are growing your brand, name, channel, you will make your income and I cannot be against that, everyone HAS THE RIGHT TO EARN his money AND the other part is THE MOST UGLY : encourage people to enter a select world, raise false expectation, spam am clog KDP with millions of low quality products,NOTHING IS SO EASY( i¨ve seen it from my personal experience), NOTHING can be made so easy in a short period of time, you said ¨IS A MARATHON, A LONG RUN GAME¨. When sharing a specific niche and promise 1000 $ per month, just like that, WILL MISLED PEOPLE and if 100 people will follow that niche and publish how many will actually make sales? CLOSE TO ZERO, YES - Z E R O -. And if I, after one almost 2 weeks on doing this I came to this conclusion imagine what follows. I do my own designs, I dont look in KDP to steal designs, I only look to see how people made their titles, subtitles or A+ content if exists. I have enough INSPIRATION, PASSION,LOVE, PATIENCE to do my own designs, to create my own imprint. Of course I'm not a hypocrite to say i do the design from scratch, I use interior templates, photos in Canva....I declare that 100% what I said here is true, I can provide easy my KDP profile, my creations.I stand 100% behind what i am saying.Maybe this long comment you will delete it fast, maybe this will not be seen by other followers, BUT THIS was meant for you to see and this is the purpose.

      Thanks for your comment, Dan. You're absolutely right, this is most definitely a long game, and making thousands of dollars a month on KDP is not easy. It takes a lot of time, effort, and commitment. And it's not for everyone. Some people will come to this business model with skills or resources that others don't have, and that will give them an advantage over others.
      Showing people a $1,000 niche is meant to show what's possible and what others are making in that niche. It's in no way a promise that anyone can make $1,000 in any niche. My video tutorials are meant to be a jumping off point for anyone viewing them. Those who are most successful will use my videos to spark their own ideas and create their own unique angles on specific niches rather than copy them exactly. As you say, if thousands of people flood a niche with the exact same content, no one will make a dime. But it's up to each individual publisher to find their own way to differentiate themselves from their competitors-no one else can do that for them. Those who do will succeed, while those who don't, won't.

    I think you could save a lot of time if you modify the stroke to become dashed/ dotted line and trace the area you plan to place the dots. Then adjust the spacing in between the stroke inside the stroke dialogue box. From here you can expand the stroke with pathfinder and ungroup the dots so you may adjust the placements again😊 Hope this helps! ~Annie

    It was a bit slow for me, but I got the gist, thanks! I could have just 2x the speed, but your voice is so pleasant, it was a bit hypnotic. I could suggest some music and editing, but I know what a pain that is. With 66K subscribers maybe you could hand it off to somebody who does a quick polish at a reasonable price. I know it's a bit of a man-splain, lol.

    Hey, Rachel. Great video, thank you for sharing. 💟I was wondering where would you find enough graphics to use in your Connect the Dots book, since designers on CF post 3, 5, or 20 same-style graphics in their bundles, and for these types of books the competitors have created somewhere between 60 and 120 pages, so you would need more. What to do in this scenario?

    One thing would like to know that when we search on amazon all departments with a keyword, here show 1000, search results for example. But when we search by selecting Books and then search with the same keyword it shows 50k-60k search results. This is a wide competition. So where should we focus?

    • @kristinashumadieva1529

      Yes, I was wondering the same thing. Most of the bundles I found on CF have up to 20 graphics, and that is not enough for a book that has let's say 60 pages.

    Greetings! I am a designer and thank you so much for this tutorial! In the “design world” when one uses a graphic for the basis of another, the “changes” that are done to it to be counted as not the original must be “substantial”. This has been defined as at least five changes to the original to make it not longer a copyright violation. Is that the same here? THank you again for the tutorial.

    • @RachelHarrisonSund
      @RachelHarrisonSund  2 года назад +2

      Hey there! Fellow designer and former art director here as well! Glad you liked the tutorial. The amount of customization required will depend on the specific licence that accompanies the imagery. If you're using imagery from Creative Fabrica you can use the files as-is with their full POD licence, but you must make changes with their basic POD licence. They do not prescribe any specific number of changes required. You can find out more on the licence section of their website. I hope that helps!
