    Kraftwerk - The Model (Official Video) 1978 - March 14, 2021
    The Model
    She's a model and she's looking good
I'd like to take her home that's understood
She plays hard to get, she smiles from time to time
It only takes a camera to change her mind
She's going out tonight but drinking just champagne
And she has been checking nearly all the men
She's playing her game and you can hear them say
She is looking good, for beauty we will pay
She's posing for consumer products now and then
For every camera she gives the best she can
I saw her on the cover of a magazine
Now, she's a big success, I want to meet her again...
Writer(s): Karl Bartos, Ralf Hutter, Emil Schult

Exactly. They tried it already with "Autobahn" and some others, following part of the German electronic scene which they helped create. Most electronics bands (including my favorites) followed suit. Kraftwerk was just about forty years ahead of everyone. In fact, I wonder why I bother with my other records, they're good, but they're all in Kraftewerk's work…

Hey Jack, let me match you my friend. Travelling back in time too after your comment. This incredible and unforgettable song is etched forever into my memory. In 1981 I was a young fairly good looking lad who went to a house party hoping to meet a girl who I had met only once before. She was drop dead gorgeous (looked like a young Sophia Loren) and loads of lads in the house vying for her attention. I was shy and reluctant. When this song came on (I had not heard it before) in full blast I somehow felt emboldened and got an adrenaline rush and went to talk to her. Positive reaction. Because she was the model in the song...worked out well for a time, but no regrets.

    [Verse 1]
    She's a model and she's looking good
I'd like to take her home, that's understood
She plays hard to get, she smiles from time to time
It only takes a camera to change her mind
    [Verse 2]
She's going out to nightclubs, drinking just champagne
And she has been checking nearly all the men
She's playing her game and you can hear them say
She is looking good, for beauty we will pay
    [Verse 3]
She's posing for consumer products now and then
For every camera, she gives the best she can
I saw her on the cover of a magazine
Now she's a big success, I want to meet her again
