Hi Mark greetings from Ireland! I have just received notification that I am getting my allotment after 5 years! I have been going to my local butcher’s and I particularly go to butcher’s who slaughter their own stock! I’m also taking the bee keeping course in the fall ! I’m involved in my local stand in the park every Sunday morning! Great resource for like minded people
Great stuff Mark. Growing our own is the best solution for veg. We had carrots and spring onions from our garden last night. Beautiful. Keep up the good work Fella.
Got to be done as far as is possible - and I say Tune Out & Turn OFF! Every time you see something on the TV you don't like or agree with switch it OFF - not just over, switch off! Get REAL - real food, real activities, real people - teach your kids how to grow something & make food - have fun with food... Cheers, Mark!
I buy my fruit and vegetables from the local market, buy my meat from a butchers, get my milk delivered, started growing my own vegetables all be it very late and try to pay by cash where I can. I wish there was an independent supermarket near me but there isn’t, so I am stuck with that for the moment, but will keep looking. I also pay my gas and electricity bills by cash at the post office.
Won't be long before it hits Australia too... UK - Digital ID. It won’t be ‘mandatory’ but in order to ▪Work ▪Rent ▪Open a bank account ▪Contact HMRC ▪Set up a business.......
Riverford delivery, local organic farm shop, local health food shop, and the closest shop to me which isn't organic but it's community owned, I also have a veg plot and an allotment..but always interested in other food sources, thank you Mark for all you're doing. We are with you !
I have an allotment which most years is successful ,but this year had major slug problem, I make jam ,chutney and preserve other fruit, I want to get away from the system totally if I can in the next few years if life allows
In the US: CASH weekly at the local organic fruit and veggie stand, CASH at the local shops, CASH every weekend for meat, fruits, and veggies at 2 local farmers markets, CASH at smaller gas stations. Be sure to tip when you can! 🤑
Have just found your channel keep them coming ,growing my own veg in a small garden and love it, a trained chef courtesy of the Army many moons ago Army Catering Corps retired in Suffolk, Felixstowe area, but feeling a bit isolated here regarding farms shops. Be strong and keep the vids coming I'm on your side.
I am looking for a local farm in North Kent.. love my veg been vegetarian for 44yrs. Always use cash. I am growing some veg, I only a a small area, so very limited.
There is a reason why most homes have a small garden and you have just found it! small enough for a few kids to play or a greenhouse but not a deal more in most cases.
In 2020 for some strange reason i started to tax my car at the post office rather than the "convenient" online method, Honestly it was so much quicker! give them the renewal slip and the cash and that's it no log bug reference number, insurance or MOT certificate nothing, just cash n the reminder, since lare 2022 i have changed to the farmers market (its more one guy named Fred who go's round collecting the goods from local farmers then sells them all together from one location), then i nip over to Jan for my eggs which i used to get from Farm Foods, i now use my local Butcher named Sam and have a regular Wednesday order, where before i would be in Asda or at a push Tesco but i hate them. i still have pre pay gas n electric meters that i top up with cash but have started to install my own solar panels, currently have 1.6Kw up n running and another 2.4Kw to set up, our home phone and internet is also pay as you go and i pay that with cash. i only have a small garden but have some foods growing in it, Tomatoes Cucumber, potato, onion, chives, etc but nowhere near enough to last us 5 full time, my youngest (11) has a bit of garden where she was sweetcorn and popcorn growing along with some tumbling tomatoes a sunflower and some edible flowers i forget the name of, wish i could get rice pasta & spaghetti from somewhere else. but then i have to get extra large nappies regular for my v damaged 12 year daughter (cheers vaccines at 6 months old, Yeah i get bans for saying this on farce book), we doomed i think but i am sure we can drag the swines down with us far easier than people think we can. keep up the good work Mark.
Interesting.
