    First time I left a comment a couple of weeks ago and you got mad and punched me in the face- and I was only joking around. So this time I'll just say that I appreciate your videos and they've helped me tremendously to become a much better griller. I've bought a bunch of the rubs and seasonings and they truly taste great. Keep up the good work!

    Hey Kosmo, grill newbie here. I'm a bit confused. In the video it looks like you are doing indirect, then sear, then indirect. But the recipe linked says indirect, then direct, then sear? Is searing not the same thing as the meat being directly over the charcoal?

    • @KosmosQ
      @KosmosQ  3 месяца назад

      Not necessarily. You can sear on grates.

    How hot do you want the grill temperature before you put the steaks on? 500? 600? And you said 45 seconds for the ceiling process do you mean 45 seconds each side?

    • @KosmosQ
      @KosmosQ  8 месяцев назад +1

      45 seconds each turn and at least 500

    Using so much seasoning and 3 different ones, has nothing to do with the fact he is selling the seasonings?

    • @KosmosQ
      @KosmosQ  5 месяцев назад

      there's a reason these seasonings win! Don't knock it til you try it 😏

  • @shawnlewis1918
    @shawnlewis1918 9 месяцев назад +2

    I know you're trying to sell your seasonings but a great steak needs nothing but salt and garlic powder...doesn't really need pepper either but those 2-3 items gives your beef and fat the opportunity to bring ALL of it's flavors out....and a little melted butter doesn't hurt either!

    • @Rally825
      @Rally825 9 месяцев назад

      I think it’s all a matter of opinion. I agree that the fancy rubs are mostly unnecessary, but I prefer salt and pepper only. Then I baste with melted butter that I’ve simmered with garlic and rosemary.

    • @shawnlewis1918
      @shawnlewis1918 9 месяцев назад

      @@Rally825 Absolutely I agree it's ALL opinions, but I think it comes down to who is actually a great red meat connoisseur because when you get a great quality cut of meat, there is already so much flavor there that something as simple as salt just magnifies that flavor. I believe it just comes down to those who appreciate the actual taste of beef and beef fat, opinion is one thing..we ALL have them but what I'm getting at is TRUE beef lovers need nothing but maybe a little salt, with all of the other crap you might as well be dipping your pizza in ranch which is the next most idiotic thing that I see people do! Lol . Though I do like rosemary on chicken and turkey since those meats aren't quite as flavorful, those herbs you mentioned make for a nice bite!

      You’ve won how many steak cooking comps again? If everyone only wanted salt and garlic, it would win every time.
      The reason there are so many rubs is because people like flavor.

      if you think kozmo is just Hiding behind well-known spice options you couldn’t be more wrong and although your opinion is very valid he never quit eating steaks and he’s just sharing with us delicious flavor mashups And I have been trying more of his rubs on regular steaks because it’s better than salt and pepper ,my friend, you couldn’t be more wrong- maybe You’re not there yet-Merry Christmas

      Pull hers at 155 internal. It will carry over to 160, won't be any pink. will be juicy and should be tender unless you're buying Select grade with no marbling.
