Nightmare is honestly the scariest thing out of this game, from how close he gets to the door, to his unnerving jumpscare, he lives up to his name, and I used to check my doors when I was little just to make sure he wasn't there
One thing I notice is that after 4 AM when Nightmare shows up, it subtly becomes so damned quiet that you immediately know something's wrong if you've been playing the game as intended with headphones on. There's usually some sort of subtle background tones for scare factor, but that all goes much more quiet to almost absolutely nothing. Scott really knew what he was doing, this kind of tension is so hard to cultivate.
And not much later suddenly a horrible creature with red eyes is standing right in front of your door. He disappears into the shadows and laughs cruelly. He really is a Nightmare...
FNAF 4’s atmosphere still gets me to this day, there was a comedic side to earlier games that the company was clearly trying to cover this stuff up and were barely paying you while you fought for your life, as if it were any other minimum wage job with no ghosts or haunted robots. This one is just sad.
I love videos like these. I don’t have to watch past all the talking and screaming, and just sit back and appreciate the sheer audio horror this game has to offer.
No commentary gameplay is always better. I hate annoying RUclipsrs that are all like "WHAT'S UP GUYS TODAY WE'RE GONNA (insert video topic here) BUT FIRST (insert random giveaway shit or other stuff here) OKAY SO LET'S GET STARTED (insert annoying yelling and shit here) I hate it. What an absolute legend, i realized ur strategy, when nightmare freddy is at ur door and u close it, u close the door for 5 seconds and then shine the flash light, this is to make sure nightmare freddy doesn’t trick you by staying at same door, and that you are 100% sure he is at the other door

Nightmare is the scariest animatronic out of the franchise. He just stares into your soul instead of the other animatronic in FNaF 4 screaming into your face. It actually makes me jump and I don’t know why. And his jumpscare noise has a hint of a sound the ambulance made when Crying Child got sent to hospital. Someone said in a comment of a video if the kid makes it to 6am he dies peacefully, but if nightmare gets him he has to face the animatronic’s face for eternity.

If you hear footstep right after a laugh then it’s a fake laugh. And Foxy. If you hear foxy’s footstep in the right then go to right, left to left. If you don’t go then Foxy will entering your closet.

If I was Chris, I wouldn’t lock the doors and the closet ,turn on the light in the room, put some toys and pillows under my bed and then just sit on the bed next to a wall so no one could jumpscare me from behind. I would also take a slipper or something so l can attack if they will try to jumpscare me. (Btw nice thinking Kq :D)
