  • This is an ELF elbow machine for bending downspouts during the installation of rain gutter systems. This particular machine is capable of bending 30, 60, 75 and 90 degree elbows in A & B styles.

Hi looks work really good but I got a question how much cost to repair if its break down is not expensive? Thanks I will appreciate you advice

These machines are robust - if taken care of there are very few issues. Like anything, if you abuse the machine or destroy the bending dies it will get expensive.... but really no worries, it takes a certain level of negligence to mess things up.

Hello, wish I could help - we had a very difficult time finding a machine to purchase. I can't recommend one enough though. I was fortunate enough to find two used machines for sale in different parts of the country. I just kept scouring the country until I found mine. I now run a trailer with two identical machines installed for both A and B elbows. The machines make our installs very efficient and has been a real time saver. There are some tricks to using an elbow machine - I've made every mistake possible, but once you get things dialed in you will wonder how you ever operated without one. If you do end up with a machine let me know - I'd be happy to share some of my experiences.

I'm not sure. I've tried to purchase a third machine, but everyone I have checked with has discontinued the machine from their product line. I believe the machine with accessories was north of $15k when new. I have seen one or two used machines pop up and they brought about $10k for a 2x3 / 3x4 combo. Sorry I'm not much help.

I just got a quote from Grove, similar size and function, $8500
      Thanks for the reply.

There was a used ELF that sold 6 months ago in Iowa for $10,500. Getting a new machine for $8,500 sure sounds like a good buy. I had just reached out to Zimmerman and Grover this morning to get a quote on adding another machine - I'll know what to expect!

@@sethnjoann $10k plus is too much for me to justify a used machine, Grover is a top brand name.

I'm with ya there. I'd never pay that for one myself either. Contrary to what folks think, there is no material cost savings with an elbow machine whatsoever so purchasing one is a real numbers game. Looks like the Grover 300 is the one you are considering. That looks like the cycle time is super fast compared to my ELF. I don't think the Grover 300 can bend steel downs, but if you are almost all exclusively aluminum that won't be an issue. If you add the crimper that pushes the Grover up close to $10k but my machines both have crimped and we don't use them at all - definetly wouldn't be worth the money. Grover been around forever and that 300 looks like a very nice machine!
