Methodology
1) I gathered data from youtube, youtube music and spotify.
2) I made the templates to use for each opening with capcut.
3) Audio assets were added with Wondershare Filmora.

Ost isn't the only thing that is masterpiece.
Story , characters, animation, foreshadowing , opening and ending songs , this all are masterpiece. That is why aot is arguably the greatest anime

One piece film reds ENTIRE ost absolutely dominating is so crazy. Ado killed it, its all so good.
My personal favourites were a lot lower than I expected here like the bleach OSTs or Tokyo Ghoul ones. But props to your hard work for compiling this list

39 of the songs are from movies, while 67 are from other anime
45 different Anime are represented/ 38 Different Anime franchises(combining all one piece/ one piece Film Red, Naruto and Shippuden, and all dragonball)
This is a big decrease compared to the number represented in the OP and ED videos

This is again a big decrease compared to the opening/Ending videos even though we have 106 songs and the only reason there are more than 50 is that Hiroyuki Sawano collaborated with other artists on a lot of her AOT songs, and ADO did the same with most of the FIlm Red Songs

This continues the Trend of the OST's being "clumpier" than the Opening or Endings with fewer anime and artists making the list big spikes are when those franchises came out 2022: One Piece Film Red/ Bochi the Rock, 2016: Your Name, 2013: Attack on Titan. However, a bit surprisingly the OST list also contains older songs than either the OP or ED one with a 1989 and a 1990 song both being present, and it also contains a larger number of 2000-2005 songs than were present in either of the other lists
I beleive I noticed a few minor errors In this list that I'll Pm rinne about, notably #29 Kamado Tanjiro no Uta is a repeat from the endings list, I'm not sure if it also counts as an OST.
After all videos i think 2022 was an amazing year for anime songs in general. For "kamado tanjiro no uta" i've realized that the error was in the endings because this song is used more like an OST then an ED 😅 i'll reply on discord as soon as i get home

@@RiNNEyt 2022 really was a standout year, 2023 and 2024 can't compare at all so far(though fall season might change things a bit for 2024), also what would ED number 100/101 be then if the tanjiro song were not in the list?

The last OST is the only OST that has over a billion views.
I went back and counted: Fireworks has more views than places 106-73 COMBINED.
Its really bizarre because until Idol came out the most watched anime song was the ending to a really mediocre movie. I still don't fully understand it. some combination of the artists and people consistently searching the word "fireworks" for unrelated reasons and watching the video

It is so fitting that oshi no ko is the first to beat it because it got the first anime music video since then that even came close in greatness.
