Thanks for all your comments. I hear you, the music is loud in the end, I don't disagree. It's honestly my first attempt at some video editing, so forgive me if it's flawed. (and also I didn't think anyone was going to watch it) Hopefully you can enjoy it for what it is. Cool cool
Sure. It`s up to me to watch them, but it is something about you and loud piano that is disturbing. But...good luck with your endeavour - your vids are really not bad, only unbearable.
I'm going to mostly disagree with those commenting about the lack of balance balance between the piano and the dialogue. To the ones who were rude, shuffle off. To those curious as to WHY people had differing difficulty with the audio, it has to do with neurological processing (as well as some memory depending on how many times you've seen a particular scene.) Note that this can be different for everyone depending on how your brain parts work. For those who could hear the dialogue and music with no issue, I would anticipate that you have seen the scenes enough times that you have them memorized. (Like when you look at a gif and can hear it in your head. I mean the thermometer gif.) I would also anticipate that you were intently watching the video. It's easier to hear the dialogue when you see the corresponding scene. For those who the music felt too loud it could be many things but the biggest one is when our brains hear what sounds like speech or singing but is juuuuuust quiet enough that you can't differentiate. Also, it's likely that you (like me) weren't watching the screen closely. Nothing wrong with any of that. (They only problematic people are the ones who made comments just to be assholes. Don't be that person. It definitely won't help you get quality friends online.) Onward and upward! Video commentary: 1) I *am* curious if the volume increase was intentional. Either way, I think it not only works very well, it enhances the video. I'd actually suggest, if you ever did a remake, or made something similar, that you start the music much softer than you did initially (I know you have the score of the show to contend with, which can be a bugger to mask) and let it build until it was as loud as it is at the end* 2) I have no idea whether you can grab those bits of dialogue closer to the end and add them as a separate audio layer. If they have the score underneath them it might take some fudging or might not work at all, but it's worth a go. 3) The most brilliant part of this is at the end during the silent portion. Often the most important beats in music are those in which there is no sound. The caveat is, to make them so striking you need to have strong sound before the silence hits, otherwise it falls flat. Always, always, always pay attention to silence. It's when some of the most important things in music, in entertainment, in life happen. Lastly, the reason I love this, music and all, is because the music increase, whether intentional or not, mirrors the relationship between Anne and Ann. And, dare I say, is a musical look inside Anne's psyche. The absolute anarchy towards the end of the music through the marriage and then just silence is like... it's what Anne Lister sought for all of those years and it beautifully embodies her finally reaching her dream. So yeah, I kind of liked this. A whole bunch. (Seriously, well done.)
I loved the editing and the orchestral music that went along with the video it told the perfect high and lows of each scene from the show. I love when you can put instrumental music to emotion and blend it all together on screen to make it even more powerful than it originally was already. This just makes the scenes even better for me.
This is remarkable, I love that the focus is on the show and its own dialogue and no verbal communications but the music was a brilliant choice, it had no words just a piano peace that helped to pace the story that we were told. You have captured the essence that is and was these women.
Awesome, thank you very much for this masterpiece! ❤️ I keep thinking of John Lister. Without him (he was told to burn the diaries but he kept them safe) we would not be able to celebrate the story of Ann Walker and Anne Lister. John you are a hero! You kept the memory of two extraordinary women alive 🎉 🍾
Great job! I glad I clicked on this after I made a mistake clicking on another one (from predictionofthefuture). The comments are demeanour and bigot. The narrator himself is simply trying to put other community down in his lame sarcastic way. So yes, I am so glad I saw your video right after that. You have edited and concluded the Lister and Walker's story nicely with a touch of sweetness, which pacify my mind after the defilement from the other. So thank you!

I echo the comments complimenting this piece. The idea and bringing it into reality is well done.....except for the volume of the music. The music is beautiful, but turn it down!

I think it's perfect.

I'm not crying, you're crying! Oh man, this video was amazing, so of course I would get teary-eyed during it :)
Beautiful
Can't think of something clever, but I just wanted to say how much I love this, the edits and THE MUSIC! Nice work.
Your video took emotions out of my eyes... TWICE!
So beautiful.
Beautifully edited.

Tout simplement magnifique , série culte , qui ne peut pas rester sur 2 saison, déjà elle me manque !!!!!
I enjoyed it and love the music.
Awesome video. Well done.

This would be good if the music weren't so loud and distracting... poor choice
Deveria ser legendado em Português Brasil !!!

Lower the volume of the music (piano) and it would be a masterpiece, great editing.

Can I ask where do you get the film material to edit this? I would like to make my own edits about Gentleman Jack 😊
In episode one after Anne asked the doctor to look at her horse she says “Tic Tok”. What did that mean?
😍😍😍
Music is very loud cant watch it
Cut the enormous piano concerto that seems more important to you than all the work you put down on the video. Annoying in a video that is good.
cool cool
Hummm I want 😁💕💞😘😘😘
yes lower the MUSIC -- the dialogue is far more important -- we can't hear them talk -- can you re-edit and re-post ?
the music is SO annoying. Can't hear shit.
I had to stop watching due to the awful 'music'.
congratulations
