Whenever you're cruising at a chill speed and you see a corner that seems a bit too sharp, but you decide to just send it and you nail it perfectly. That's what i love about carvey Longboards, that feeling is so fucking sick 🤙
Dude, I feel like I'm dropping comments on every vid, but LOVE this format. I'm a newbie 36 year old longboarder in the UK but this stuff is the absolute best I've seen on RUclips
@@concrete-waves just a little update - did some slides today after a bit of rain. Watched this in my car before I attempted it and had the best results so far
*Yewwwh!* 🤟🏽⚡️⚡️🤟🏽 The Way a board turns is the biggest factor in how fun it is to ride. Personally I don't like it too divey, nor do I like too much rebound. Great tips, even for experienced riders. 🤙🏽
Switching my standard paris bushings for the orange orangatang knuckles was the best decision I ever made. Carving is super snappy with quick turns on my tan tien, and it's super easy to carve into a check or slide now.
What’s good, Billy?! Got a new electric shortboard coming in a couple days so this is perfect timing to figure out how to make it carve! Ever since I started onewheel, all the other boards feel much less responsive, so definitely can use these tips.
@@concrete-waves got a tynee mini 3! Moved to Boston and found that my old electric longboard that I used when living in the middle of nowhere got super inconvenient to drag with me when riding buses and the subway, so trying out something way smaller! We’ll see how it goes! Now the biggest challenge is going to be bringing it with me inside of stores and not getting yelled at lol
@@audreybertin Niceee! Ya that makes sense. It looks similar to the meepo mini with double barrel bushings in the front. I swapped mine for riptide barrel and cones... which helped a bit. But the kicktail will prob be the move for smaller spaces. I don't think you'll have a problem getting yelled at haha 🤞
@@concrete-waveshey bro! I’ve been on the mend. Being old, inactive then getting back to skating has lead to lots of injuries that one doesn’t bounce back from quickly now. Miss all the content and hope to get back on board fully.
I like having a bit of rattle off my front washer. I’ve thought about trying different bushings, but then I remember that I don’t want another rabbit hole to go down 🤣✌️
I´ve been looking at loaded´s Icarus, tan tien and dervish sama since they are quite similar but I couldn´t find any video directly reviewing and comparing them. What are your thougths?
Do you have any tips to learn how to powerslide? I can do it pretty easily with a surfskate, but with normal skateboards and longboards, I find it difficult to slide the back of the board out in front of me. Keep it up with the videos! Love seeing an update when you post.
I made this video a while back: ruclips.net/video/_4qGb_pLcGI/видео.html But I intend to update it since it's not too detailed. It'll make your life a lot easier if you have a harder wheel with a small contact patch & round lips. Normal skateboards shouldn't take much to powerslide since the wheels are typically hard/small. You kind of want to sway your front arm, so that it opens up your shoulders and your hips follow... Hard to explain over text! Hope this helps a bit. Glad you're enjoying the vids. Appreciate the support 🙌
I don't think you mentioned this in the video and I don't know if it's scientifically true but wheels with rounded edges on the outside definitely feel like they turn more

Haha i appreciate it! Stoked you're getting into longboarding. Some of the best physical/mental exercise imo

Agree on the mental health thing, I work in IT and I love getting out and about, cruising in the park

Nice man. Thanks as always for watching and dropping a thoughtful comment. Appreciate ya 🙏
The difference is truck angles and types of bushings has been the biggest learning curve at the start of my downhill / free ride adventure so far.
Totally! It's another rabbit hole to dive into. I still barely know anything compared to downhill/ldp ppl
@@concrete-waves I am enjoying the process. It is a good way to spend sunday's vs battling another trick sometimes. At my age I need that 😂🙏

Nioceee thanks for sharing this. The tan tien is so solid - it was my first loaded board about 10 yrs ago and it's still going strong

Yooo Audrey! It’s been a minute 😎 That’s awesome. I’m glad to hear it’s helpful. What electric shortboard did you get?

Just noticed your tat..
Have you seen the costco longboard.
The logo is so similar.
Been watching you for years. Love it all.
i'm looking forward to the carving/turning video! i am honestly sooo bad at turning. my radius is at least twice as big as everyone elses
love your content ✌ I've been watching since few years now. Ill try the 100mm wheels really soon
Ayyy I appreciate that! Thanks tom. Myspace was pretty chill too 😂

I’ve been curious about the differences as well but haven’t had a chance to try the dervish or Icarus yet 🤔
Tan tien all the way

Yup those will definitely do it
What I do is like bend my knees and lean my weight if any body could give me some tips that would be great
Man, it's sad that yall assassinated this channel with the break and the name change 😪 RIP
i'm still shredding in the casket 🙃
What was the channel name before it? I really can't remember.
@@Caniballe it was called shred shack
what likely just hit the most like any other channel would is the long break but no blame on that sometimes a break is needed for the creator
@@Dominik-xr4oe ya the long break definitely didn't help. But i'm in for the longterm so it's all good 🙏
