Facel Vegas have always been my favourite cars, I admired the leather and I admired the wooden dashboard and was very disappointed when I had to find out, that there never was any wood inside, but only steel, painted in wooden design😭
That dashboard just blows me away--absolutely gorgeous! Beautiful car with Mopar. It does not get any better! Why Graveyard Cars can't score one of these for a restoration project is a mystery.
I had a ride in one over 50 years ago and never forgot it. I was too focused on the notice to keep all the windows closed at speeds above 120 to see the cocaine mirror. Not that I knew about such things when I got that ride.
My grandmother had one of these, a 1961 HK500, just like in this video. Same color, same interior (and same crappy automatic transmission with the buttons). She had it from new, and owned it until she died in 2001. As she knew it was a classic and did not have room in her own garage anymore, she paid a dealership owner to store the car 'properly'. After she passed away, we went to recover the car and found that it had been left out in the elements and was basically only good for parts. It was sold as a parts car to a collector in Holland. I was really upset about it - I had begged her for years to let me have the car which I had admired since childhood, but she'd say, "It's perfectly safe, you'll have it after I'm gone". The dealer who was supposed to store the car had also passed away, so I couldn't strangle him for not doing what he had been paid to do.
Some times its easy to think that way about rich people. Sure, some were born with the silver spoon but most worked their asses off to get that way. Elon Musk for instance works over 80 hours a week and has for a very long time. He once said that if I work 80 hours in a week I can get the same amount of work done that another person gets done in 2 weeks. And i will add ( this is me talking) that most people that work 40 hours probably got as much done in that 40 hours as they would have done in 15 hours if they worked hard. 99.9% of us never become wealthy because we don't have the determination or the willingness to work hard enough to get there. We settle.
Not perhaps, by far more luxurious than a mb 3.5 or what so ever and with a bigger and better engine ( a chrysler big block reworked by the french company). These cars were made by hand. The very last luxurious french car maker, who tried after the war ( which fully destroyed french car industry) to continue the great tradition of french very luxurious car makers like Delahaye, Delage, Voisin avion, Bugatti, Panhard-Levassor, Hotchkiss etc...
Should I have the footballer's money I would have got a series of these beauties rather than spending it on //Bugatti, or Ferrari or Lamborghini..........
Beautiful Facel. That paint is so lustrous.
Hats off to the French auto makers. The world leaders in elegant sophisticated and beautiful industrial design.
Oui c'était la vrai France Industrielle ❤
Breathtaking. The perfect Bond car.

And that process is much more costly than using actual wood paneling !
This is a nice example. A friend's father has one, red/with red interior, and Mopar big block. Flys on the straights...
Une vraie merveille, et quelle élégance.
Magnifique exemplaire! Bonne vidéo qui rend hommage à la Fonderie et Atelier de Construction d'Eure et Loir et à Jean Daninos bien-sûr.
absolutely stunning ! prob the closest i"ll ever get to seeing one, as for owning?......thanks for sharing .
Wow...a real beauty!
DREAM CAR!

I don't think any owners of these have let them go to the point they need to be restored. They're way too valuable.
That would be bad because graveyard would absolutely destroy something like this.
This is way out of GYC league … they would botch it…

Spotted that as well. That'd be an awkward line. But as they say; get a longer straw.
I have an empty spot in my garage, that would accommodate this quite nicely
Beats the crap out of anything designed today
As a Texan I like the beautiful design of the added air conditioning.
For many years I've always dreamed of having one of these. Waaaaaaaaay out of my price range. I might as well wish the Titanic could be refloated.
I feel ya there man! These days cars are rich man dream with 7-8 figures price tags!! Fkin Selfish people ..

True information about Facel Vega: ruclips.net/video/gfdgYDqPUaI/видео.html
Wow! A Vega that didn’t rust on the showroom floor and burn oil at 30K!
really worth having one of these = big lazy v8 super cool !
I *love* all Facels, and I like the music too. Sounds like it could be Patrick O'Hearn. Is it?
Beautiful Car 👍
Simply marvelous, perhaps more luxurious than Benz 3.5.

ELEGANT!
Beautiful
Very cool.
Sublime.
Definitely, this is the FRENCH Jaguar and the FRENCH Aston Martin 🏎️🚗
State of art
More 007 than any Aston Martin I've ever seen
Amazing even has a built in cocaine mirror in the glove box perfectly placed to powder young ladies nose
Did you feature the orange Montreal in the background on another video?
sublissime 😍
How much did it cost?
$14K new in the late 50s.
Beautiful car exceptional visual condition ..Narration would be preferable to an annoying sound track ..talk about the F-ing car ..!
The car that killed Albert Camus RIP
Not this one no.
I've had a love affair with these since the sixties...
WOW! Nice one; who made those? It looks European to me. Am I right?
Facel Vega was a French brand in activity during 10 years. 1954/1964. Total production was around 3000 cars.

Puts a Rolls Royce to shame
Swoon.

Pirelli tyres? I would have thought Michelin.
