Takashi Yoshimatsu, Symphony No.6 “Birds and Angels” for chamber orchestra (2013)
I. Bird in Right
Ⅱ. Forgetful Angels (14:11)
Ⅲ. Bird in Left (22:22)
The composer's name is Yoshimatsu. (NOT 'Yostimatsu'.)
This is interesting, would be good for a serious anime
Quite exciting, direct quotation of Sibelius' Symphony no. 6 at 19:30, followed swiftly by Tchakovsky's 6th as well. In general, Yoshimatsu's works always seem to blend a heartfelt admiration for other composers with his own visions for music. His work always feels like a treat that rewards you for paying close attention.
EDIT: Seems as though the quirk is quotation from known Symphony 6's. Definitely heard a snippet of Beethoven there, and possibly Dvorak, though I'm less confident in my identification of that one.
Hi there... minute 20:28 to 20:38, Tchaikovsky ❤
