      Utilize the Clausis-Clapeyron equation (differential form) with knowledge of the latent heat of melting and the change in volume information as a function of T for propane. Integrate with respect to temperature, and ideally... this equation can be utilized to predict at a specified pressure what temperatures are necessary to melt/freeze propane. Insert N2 vaporization temperature into the equation and solve for pressure. If pressure is not to ~ equal to 101325 Pa, you either need a vacuum or a sealed container.

      internetwhipsme no it is possible Grant Sir can use the T.V lens he used in the video" Power of Sun" in doing an arrangement that the lens concentrate the sun:s heat from top and the propane Torches heat from the Bottom and in this way he can get large amount of heat and also the fuel will be used less.

      Pieguy55 it's an Oxidized form of Iron, which has a different (probably lower) melting point than Iron. Also, I think pyrite, being a Sulfur compound, might burn in air making Iron Oxide rust, and Sulfur Dioxide.

      If he mixes a small amount of liq propane in an excess of liq nitrogen, the nitrogen should be able to freeze the propane as the nitrogen boils away.

    • @damascus1111
      @damascus1111 7 лет назад

      That would require a pressure chamber and sincerely low temperatures. Feasible in theory but I am unsure if it is physically do-able in any reasonable sense. Any Chemical Engineers who could confirm or deny this?

    • @gelerson1642
      @gelerson1642 7 лет назад

      You don't need a pressure chamber; you just need gas at pressure. A tank of liquid-state gas would suffice (as shown in the video above). Just add the liquid propane into another liquid-state gas that has a lower boiling temperature than propane's melting temperature. Nitrogen would work just fine, and Grant has plenty of that! :)

    • @yume2727
      @yume2727 7 лет назад

      Who knows, maybe it's possible if you pressurize the gas and you put it in vacuum so you can drop the temperature...

    • @YodaWhat
      @YodaWhat 6 лет назад +2

      "around exactly" :)
      No, exactly. Just exactly: -40 F is just exactly -40 C (same in both directions). Also, 80/7 F (11 and 3/7 F) is just exactly -80/7 C. Or -11 and 3/7 C, if you prefer.

    • @skippyfrance
      @skippyfrance 6 лет назад

      Surely -40°F is =~ 419.67°R or around 233.15°K which I estimate equates to, in my rough approximation, -40°C, or there abouts. Which is very nearly -32°Ré. Maybe this will clarify it for you. [°F] = ([°Rø] − 7.5) × 24⁄7 + 32, then [°R] = ([°Rø] − 7.5) × 24⁄7 + 491.67.

      Oxygen is a inertia gas. It has to be condensed and kept very cold to remain a liquid.

      no exponentially means that it is to an exponent. say the one opening was 2 square millimeters and the other one was 4, then it would be 2^2 thus exponential

      BLADES AND GEARS the nitrogen would boil off like with the dry ice in nitrogen experiment he did before.

    • @gelerson1642
      @gelerson1642 7 лет назад +1

      That would depend on the the amounts of each. If he put a sample of liquid propane (-43F) in an excess of liquid nitrogen (-320F), then the nitrogen should freeze the propane into a solid as is boils/evaporates away.

    Make a video please.

    • @grayroot141
      @grayroot141 7 лет назад +3

      Yes. Without oxygen, they can't photosynthesise. If they can't do that, no energy and they die.

    • @shivengarg9022
      @shivengarg9022 7 лет назад +4

    • @Vayxes

    • @dana-leemcdonald4887
      @dana-leemcdonald4887 7 лет назад +7

      Shiven Garg Plants need carbon dioxide to photosynthesize, AKA: make food. However they need oxygen to respire like us:-)

    • @wobeck
      @wobeck 7 лет назад +2

      +xBIGFACEDSHADOWx But plants don't use atmospheric oxygen. They break down water into hydrogen and oxygen and use that for photosynthesis. So they only need water and the elements that make up water (plus sunlight and carbon dioxide and the elements that make up CO2).

    This is so poorly written. Among so many other odd statements, it's misleading to say "the glass fills itself up." The glass does no such thing. The glass is filled by the propane draining from the propane bottle. Coming soon, "what happens if I tap this dynamite with a hammer?"

    The surface area of the propane exposed to the flame is much fairly small in the cup, causing it to ignite slower. However, when you emptied the contents of the glass the surface area increased. Isn't that why there is a difference between the oxidation rates? Doesn't the density of propane play a key role in this process too? This was a very interesting video, keep up the great work.

    hey Grant. how about for Easter you could try hard boiled eggs in a vacuum and see if the shell cracks, also try coloring them in a vacuum to see if the dye penitrates the shell more effectively, and also I'm not sure if you did it last year but the golden eggs is a cool one where you spin a egg and change its direction suddenly mixing the yolk and whites of the egg within the shell.

    hi, i`m an old disabled feild mechanic. I always had a 20 lb tank of propane and a blow torch for tank. torch had about a 10 ft hose and when not used to heat or burn i would use liquide propane to freeze shrink bearing races. This is known as cold welding. The race will only 1- 10,000 s bigger than hole it is to be installed in. remove old race, Put race in old cooler and take torch head off hose assembly, tilt tank upside down put hose in add,enough propane in to cover thickness of race, place race in liquid it will boil propane{bubbles} heat base where race must fit, it will expand a small bit then take frozen race that will have shrunk a small bit and drive in with tool, the heat exchange will mahe hole smaller and race bigger so cold welded.
