2 Well, I have been doing all four of your suggestions for many many years now. I am 73. My father had also been doing your four suggestion most of his life and lived until he was 99.

I am Belgian, but living and working over 35 years in Nepal, in the mountain area between 4,000 and 5,000 meters. I listen carefully to your advices and consider them as very helpful. I am now 80 years old and had some bad experiences including 3 strokes when I was 65, when being in the stress of divorces, money problems, hectic Kathmandu. I then decided to change ma life, walking more, relax my mind and body when necessary. This worked and I am now, at 80 years old, enjoying our beautiful mountains and still walking 12 hrs. a day at this altitudes. I plan every day, wake up without mobile ringing, taking a breakfast, and start without rushing it. And result doing more then before. For all "old" ones, adjust your life style.
What an incredible journey you’ve had! 🌄 Your story is deeply inspiring, especially how you transformed your life after such challenges. Walking 12 hours a day at high altitudes at 80 is a testament to your resilience and the power of mindful living. Your advice to adjust one’s lifestyle is so valuable-thank you for sharing it. Wishing you many more peaceful, fulfilling days in those beautiful mountains. 🏔️🙏✨
Story of my Life!! My life changed three years ago, alone but not lonely. That’s where I had and have to do everything alone….. remembering the right things can be difficult. I have three dogs and I wake up 6am. I do drink water as soon as I wake up. Sometimes I like breakfast and I have coffee, yogurt and fruits but it’s not every morning. At times I don’t feel like having anything. I’m retired but not at home. I prefer to go to work than stay at home. I try to do the right things. Amen 🙏😳😳
Thank you for sharing your story. It sounds like you've embraced a new chapter in your life with resilience and a positive attitude. Living alone can be a significant adjustment, but it seems like you've found a balance that works for you. Your routine with your dogs and your morning habits, like drinking water and sometimes enjoying breakfast, are great ways to start the day. Staying active by choosing to work even in retirement shows your dedication to staying engaged and purposeful. It's important to listen to your body and mind, doing what feels right for you each day. Remember, it's perfectly okay to have days when you don't feel like doing much-it's all part of the journey. Your story is a testament to finding strength and contentment in your own company. Wishing you continued peace and fulfillment in all that you do. Amen. 🙏🐾

Hardest thing I experienced with aging is having to rest or “take it easy”. I’m an old work horse, could always work circles around young people. I had a huge family, with little help, and the one everyone depended on. Now I’ve had to slow down, with a painful autoimmune condition. But I’m resolving it and hope to make it to 80. After that …it depends.
Thank you for sharing your experience. It sounds like you've always been incredibly strong and resilient, and it's understandable how difficult it can be to slow down after being the person everyone depended on. Your determination to resolve your health challenges and continue moving forward is truly inspiring. Wishing you strength and healing as you work toward your goals-you’ve got this! 💪😊
I always skip my breakfast in the morning Sir. Now that I've known the negative effects, I'll try to change the habits by having breakfast regularly. Thanks for the healthy tips Sir. God bless
I retired last month and learn to relax before getting out of bed and started back drinking water 1st again. Also back eating breakfast. Use to wake up every morning to walk now I walk at about 11.00 am.

I wake up gradually, drink flavoured water, then put real porridge on to cook which takes 21 minutes. Whilst that is cooking I start my gentle warm up stretching exercises and then after 5 minutes slightly more intense movements with light weights. At the end of the exercise I eat toast with peanut butter, porridge with raisons and finish with fruit. I watch a movie or tv show whilst I eat as if I'm not really hungry it distracts me. I'm 82, British and play in 3 rock bands in Prague where I live alone. I've recently had a book published Sweating On My Chitty Box an illustrated and hopefully humorous account of life on an isolated RAF base in Libya during the cold war.
What an amazing and active life you lead at 82! Your morning routine sounds like a great balance of nourishment and movement, and playing in three rock bands is impressive. I am from India. Thanks for informing the benefits of slow morning start. Without being aware of this I have been practicing it for the past few months. My blood pressure went down drastically I stopped taking pressure tablets which I was taking for more than 30 years. I am 79 years old now and just stepped into 80. Our culture recommends slow start of the morning. One of our oldest religious scriptures talk about getting up very gently in the morning and utter God's name first.
Thank you for sharing your experience! It's inspiring to hear how a slow morning routine has positively impacted your health. It's wonderful that your cultural practices align with this approach, emphasizing a gentle start to the day and mindfulness. Your morning routine might inspire others to create their own peaceful start to the day. Keep embracing these gentle morning moments - they're such a gift to ourselves! 🌅
Another 10/10 podcast. 1. Waking up abruptly? as opposed to getting up abruptly ? Toilet is what gets me out of bed. Open the eyes. Flip the blanket to the side. Sit up. Swing my legs to the side of the bed. Switch the light on. Anchor the feet. Stand up. - At some stage I will need a wall brace to help me get out of bed. 2. New change. I will stop the first coffee and replace with water by the bed. Thank you . 3. I'm a morning person. A big breakfast - meat and vegetables. Light lunch . No dinner needed - maybe soup and toast. But usually two meals is more than enough. 4. Light stretching. Then I take the pooch for a 1+ hour walk. This is the one time that I live in the now - I acknowledge 5 things I see, I touch 4 things I pass, I identify 3 sounds, I smell 2 things and I thank our heavenly father for the beautiful creation that I'm blessed to witness and to pray to stop the suffering of ALL people . To love our father in heaven and to love our neighbor is a worthy purpose I strive for. Peace.
Thank you so much for sharing your thoughtful routine and reflections! 😊 It’s truly inspiring how intentional you are about starting your day with mindfulness and gratitude. Your practice of walking, connecting with the present moment, and praying for others is such a beautiful way to embrace peace and purpose. Wishing you continued strength and joy on your journey! 🙏🌅
17:56 You make perfect sense to me..I'm a decaf person and follow that path seriously. However, the water first thing appeals to me. My breakfast consists of bread that has been toasted the night before and cut up into small dehydrated pieces so they are as hard as croutons. Love your devotion to water. My daughter has been after me for years to get addicted to this glorious substance. This is my first exposure to your philosophy and I'm already addicted to it. Please continue to share your insights!

Love the insights. Small changes every day
Story of my Life!!

2- I’ve had a morning ritual (habit) for many years. A slow start is essential … I leave my blinds open so light gently wakes me. After listening to this I’ll drink water first (with some MSM & lemon to introduce a detox aid. Thank you so much!

I always thought exercising first thing in the morning was the best approach, but now I see the importance of easing into it. Very helpful advice!
What a wonderful realization! 🌟 Yes, it's like our bodies appreciate a gentle 'good morning' rather than an intense workout alarm! Isn't it refreshing to know that being kind to our bodies can actually be more beneficial than pushing too hard too soon?
Have you noticed how different your body feels when you give it time to wake up gradually? Some of our viewers have found that gentle stretching or a calm walk after they've properly awakened leads to more enjoyable and sustainable exercise routines. It's amazing how listening to our body's natural rhythm can make such a difference!

My blood pressure went down drastically
I stopped taking pressure tablets which I was taking for more than 30 years.
Wishing you continued health and peace as you embrace this beautiful tradition. 🌅🙏
