The only thing this scene told me is Issa still wants Lawrence.. The fact that she couldn't answer his SIMPLE question (ARE YOU HAPPY?) says it all. Doesn't matter if Lawrence spoke his truth there or elsewhere.. They still want each other..
i was living for this moment literally on the edge of my bed to everything like Lawrence spilling out his love her and for nathan coming in and wasnt having it to the "IM CHILL" moment i loved this all literally bone chilling
Lawrence never stopped loving Issa, Issa never stopped loving Lawrence... he was always the end game. When he asked her if she was happy she didnt respond, that's a story telling que. Nathan wasnt wrong for Issa but also wasnt right for her. The only issue Lawrence really had was maturity, he needed to mature a bit more as he was originally complacent, which led to Issa cheating, and the original breakup. Once Lawrence (and Issa as well) matured they were ripe for each other.
Issa needs a clean slate. Lawrence is a day late and a dollar short. Nathan is nice to look at but he is a runner. Issa deserves someone that is 100% in and drama free from the beginning. Issa can benefit from therapy.
Issa and Lawrence are the drama. Nathan had one issue in their very beginning stages and was a loyal friend and partner since. Lawrence was out of line and didn’t care how is actions impacted Issa’s life. That’s whack
@@shainarobinson2836 Issa was toxic when she fucked around with the producer she once dated. She put that battery in Lawrence back to do him 🤷🏾♂️! It’s Issa’s fault at the end of the day for ruining her relationship. You have to pay the price of karma gives you
Lawrence is still in Love with Issa, had he not got condola pregnant, he and Issa would still be together. It’s obvious Issa still has feelings for Lawrence, if that wasn’t the case. She would not have called him when she had her girls night out
I respectfully disagree, Nathan seems a little soft to me. If he really wanted to fight Lawrence he would have fought him. Now his Cousin is about that life! Nathan has mental health problems, not making fun of that. Issa isn’t truly in love with Nathan. She just don’t want to be alone…….
@@nblack5729 I just watched episode 1 of season 3, he was barely in. So I don’t get why you said Nathan would handle him. His Cousin is more about it can go down whenever, than nah I’m a chill Nathan. Nathan should have knocked Lawrence out instead of saying I”M Chilled!
@@nblack5729 man, Nathan is a good dude, but he’s in a missed up situation. All this would have been avoided had Issa never tried to contact Lawrence . Now she will always have feelings for him, but at least Lawrence wouldn’t have gotten false hope. His boy did gas him up, but that’s him after seeing Issa hit him up. All Issa should have said was I’m happy, and I wish you happiness. That would have ended the situation. Also it didn’t help how Lawrence was throwing subliminal shots at him when they were all discussing the Best Bar B Q!
Issa and Lawrence dated and lived together in their 20's and Lawrence was depressed and needed to get himself together. She was patient but was getting tired of him. It's hard for men to forgive when their woman cheat but we will forgive and try to make it work. Lawrence needed to mature, and he tried to replace Issa with each woman he slept with, but he couldn't stop loving Issa and she never stopped loving him. I'm glad the two got together at the end.
Oh so they did get back together in the end on the real I wanted Issa to stay with Nathan frfr Lawrence didn't deserve her anymore and it's crazy like you said when women cheat they take a man back and work things out but men they quick to leave and go mess with other people to try to get over the woman and it all don't work out that way frfr
I honestly feel like a lot of people are projecting what they would do in this situation onto Issa. Y’all keep saying that Lawrence is her soulmate and how they belong together but they absolutely do not. She does not need to revisit that relationship. If she’s with Nathan cool, if not cool. Either way, she needs to move forward with her life. And it’s obvious she feels that way too. Edit: lmao. I stand corrected 😂😂😂 wow.
Lawrence and Issa have tried to make is work and it hasn't worked. I think in any other situation, Lawrence's friends would have been in the right to tell him to speak with Issa but honestly, it wasn't the right time and they have already had so many chances to work it out. He should have taken her aside or asked if they could have spoken later. If Issa said yes, then great; if Issa said no, then he would have known his answer.
Agreed, thank you. Either you embrace what is in front of you and take a leap of faith, or if it doesn't feel good or right, let it go. Do not, I repeat DO NOT go back to a hasbeen. There is a reason why it didn't work out. Let things flow naturally instead of forcing it. I can't believe so many people want people to go back to their exes on so many shows. They are called exes for a reason, smh.
They weren't together , but his babymom's told him he should stay cause she said she wasn't gonna see his friends for a longtime or something. Sometimes I wonder wtf she meant? Like finish unfinished business or something? Maybe she already knew what to expect and decide to leave him there.
They did Nathan wrong! He was the outsider Terrence was surrounded by friends. Issa was quick to police Nathan ignoring that another man had to hold back Terrence, Terrence was provocative and she made Nathan look like the crazy person.
This was the best scene in the season. Lawrence is physically imposing on Issa. We see this in their height difference and how she moves away from him several times. Nathan grabs Issa as though she is property.
Watching this show from season 1...IMO...its Issa's insecurities why she is still not with Lawrence...married to him..with his 1st kid being hers...as she dreams about time after time...they recommitted to each other ..he bought her an engagement ring....faithful to her...then she cheats...sabotaging her own happiness ...to me that decision...was the next 4 seasons of this show 'Insecure'...some ask to find that deep love...but when you get it...can you handle it?
Definitely, when it comes to a new relationship or any relationship in general you gonna have some problems period. Cause you’re dealing with people that’s been scarred better yet unstabled. Everyone doesn’t go to therapy majority tough it out and you gotta deal with it unless you can handle it
I love how ppl ignore the fact that Issa is the reason Her and Lawrence are not together. She cheated on him. And when they got back together Lawrence was hit with the baby situation. He did not have a baby on her. Y’all need to stop. ISSA IS NOT INNOCENT
No one is obligated to put up with someone else's baby bullshit. Lawrence had the responsibility to use protection and he didn't, he's not innocent. Personally I still think Lawrence is immature and this scene is just one of many that proves it.
@@homegirl44yeah this was immature of Lawrence! The last episodes I honestly began to not like Lawrence. Lawrence could do better for himself, he should’ve just been happy for Issa and Nathan and let that be it
Nathan ghosted issa. So please, let's not act like he's not toxic. Issa really messed over Lawrence, so he had to find his way but never stopped loving her. Nathan ghosted me that early on, and I would have never gotten another moment. Issa wanted to love him, but his heart was always with Lawrence, as Lawrence heart was always with her. Lawrence didnt need his friend to tell him to love Issa, he already did...as we all need advice outside of ourselves all the time.
This is my opinion (not to be bias): Yes they should talk things out but there’s always a time and a place to do that and for what Lawrence did, it was kinda out of the blue to do that in front of Nathan. Not only that, I get it, nobody is ever happy when they’re with someone else and they miss their ex, but at the same time, people gotta move on for the greater good.
My opinion I love my girl Issa but this is a reminder of how she was with Daniel unsure. I really hope she either chooses Nathan or being by herself. Lawrence is unstable unsure and easily influenced his friend gassed him up and seeing Issa move on is what influence this altercation I don’t know if anyone remembers but he went on and on about bbq comment making it personal. Lawrence didn’t stay for Issa nathan changed his whole life around to accommodate their relationship and make it work. When Issa was trying to get this block party thing together it was Nathan that encouraged her when everyone else laughed. Lawrence for ghost the moment Issa express doubt in her event but yet it was Nathan that kept encouraging her. Nathan may have mental issues but he is trying to communicate and be sensitive and concern to Issa needs. Nathan is the insecure one and continues to prove this time and time again. Idk maybe it’s just me but I rather have a man like Nathan anyway who chose me first not Lawrence who wanted me after the fact that someone else is making me happy and still didn’t seem sincere with the I Love you. Lawrence really doesn’t know what he wants and I guarantee he is acting on emotions that are cloudy. I think him and his baby mama actually work and could see them together in future
I’m glad I don’t have a friend like Lawrence have anymore. Even tho he was funny? Dude was a douchebag, and that shit rubbed off on Lawrence. Those types of friends would do anything to see you look like a fool cause they don’t have anything but a bunch of women they don’t feel for 🤔
I think yal forget that when Lawrence got Condola pregnant him and Issa was NOT together they did not find out about the baby until AFTER they got back together so van yal kill that whole “he had a baby on her” cause Issa was fuckin that security guard and Issa OBVIOUSLY takes that in account and was worried how people would look at her. Hence why she still thinks of Lawerence she knows the true context behind that child and couldn’t even answer when Lawrence asked was she happy. She ASSUMED Lawrence had moved when she saw them at the doctors not knowing that it ain’t even like that because up to that point she hadn’t talked to him about anything since SHE broke up with him. Exactly why right after that all of a sudden she in love with Nathan that shit seems forced. Issa fuck what people talking about go be with who makes you happy not who people think you should be with stink!
@@centellvasilopoulos THANK YOU!! I actually saw somebody say Issa had a right to cheat I’m like wow no wonder why the dating pool has pee in it cause Issa could have just left Lawrence if she wasn’t happy instead of cheating smh.
I've always been #TeamLawrence, but he was wrong here. There's a time and place for everything. However, I also feel like Issa and Nathan are just going through the motions. The spark and chemistry they first had in season three is just...gone. To make it worse, Issa still has Lawrence in the back of her mind. I'd love to see her back with Lawrence, but I don't blame her for not wanting to be a step mom (plus, we all know Condola has her petty moments. I can definitely she her doing some foolishness to Issa in the future for...reasons). Issa may end up single and working on herself.
These anti-Lawrence comments didn't age well...at all lol! It makes me wonder how people can come up with different interpretations when it's obvious that wasn't the message the story/scene was trying to give. The show has always been based on Issa's relationship with Molly, Lawrence as well as herself, and their growing pains. What in the world would make you think after all these two characters have been through that this scene was meant to villify Lawrence in some way? Love has no time nor place when you have to get your feelings out, and he knew he only had that opportunity to do it because she was ghosting him. This was explained in the documentary. He did what he had to do. Sorry if it didn't come with a pretty box and bow 🤷🏾♀️🤣
Lawrence was toxic. And he started drama in Issa’s life unnecessarily. Once Nathan said “what’s all this?”, Lawrence could have respected them and left it alone. The same way she did with the different women he paraded around in her face.
@@shainarobinson2836 "toxic"... gosh I wish that word was left in 2021 🤣 y'all act like Issa was an angel and this whole thing didn't start with her cheating to begin with. This scene is something else .. I wonder if lawerence really loves her or is upset that she’s moving on. Idk i feel like he does genuinely love her but why wait so long .. I wonder how this will end. I love this show so much so sad it’s ending. Issa is such a great actress.
I think it’s cause she’s moving on, but Chad put the battery in his back and should’ve said “L, it’s aite man. I mean think about it she cheated on you, you moved on, then she had no choice. Just give it time man..Do what you have to do to make it out here 💯.”
This is a true representation of the double standard. When men cheat, the relationship is fixable with a lil time and therapy. When women cheat, it’s over, PERIOD. Lawrence had every right to dump Issa. But he should’ve kept it moving. He kept popping into her life every time she had something good going on!!! Like damn, you know she’s there with her man. Why even bring this up?
Lawerence was bogus, 1 he waited until Condola left 2 he still wasnt sure what he wanted 3 he provoked the argument with Nathan. Nathan "what you doing bruh?"
The reason why I like Nathan because he’s that kind of friend that you can just talk to about your man problems or any problems and cry on his shoulders. And he is so layback and cute. But let’s be honest here Nathan is a rebound… Issa is forcing this relationship let’s be clear here because she knows that Lawrence is going to be dealing with Canola because they have a child together Canola and the child got of me first before Issa. Come on!!!!! Nathan is a rebound and I feel bad for him.smh. 🤦🏻♀️ Overall this show is really good it’s so realistic like you can relate to these characters.
I don't think she's forcing it. It's been over a year since Lawrence left. It's been longer since she got back with Nathan. Even when she was with Lawrence, Nathan and her stayed friends and that friendship grew into what it is now. I don't think Nathan is a rebound.
@Sacha Bellinger naw…he’s definitely a rebound because Issa was gonna call Lawrence that one episode even when she’s with Nathan. She still love Lawrence despite him and her but that’s 5years…they lived together and they was getting back together again until canola got pregnant. She turned to Nathan and However she was being inconsistent because she was thinking about Lawrence again. That’s a five-year relationship I know five years is not enough but still it is a decent amount of love that’s for sure. Lol SMH
@@patticakes763 nah 🤔! Cause they met around season 3! When Molly got with the asian guy and he brought his friends along which involved Nathan. By this time Issa and Lawrence had already broken up. @@sachabellinger8266 If Issa just held out alittle longer ? A relationship would’ve blossomed slowly. She wasn’t focused on herself and where she wanted to be. You be having one nighters here and there but you ain’t serious with nobody….You wouldn’t feel outta place? Like you missing something? You would feel like “Is this is what it is?..Is there anything else I can improve in my life foreal?” You would feel a failure 🤷🏾♂️💯!
Lol what he did wasn’t right at all, Nathan was a more healthy choice for Issa after everything she’s been through. Lawrence was hyped up by his friend but you get hyped up for things you scared to do . I knew Issa and Lawrence will be endgame cuz of the chemistry and bond they had😌
Towards the end Lawrence became a asshole! His mans was right he ain't fight for her enough even if she was the one who cheated on him. Nathan is a runner but he decides to change for Issa and Issa just always breakdown off some wild shit. He realized that maybe she was the one running away from something and realized that shit at the party. Nathan has a right to lash out cause he don't wanna be fooled. I would've been the same way, cause he sacrificing himself and his ways for Issa. Season 5 just felt too rushed and not thought out all the way, there should've been a fight scene between the two. Nathan was just a filler for Issa at the end of the day and Issa should've been real about it and let Nathan know that she need more time to get over him. Though she fucks with him
That's what I didn't like about Nathan! Finally someone sees it. Not a fan of Lawrence at all but I was in awe when I see Nathan blaming Issa, like ? He's the one who wanted to fight 😅
Why are we blaming Lawerence for anything? Wasn't Issa the one that cheated on him? I know he was in a stuck place in season 1 but she was wrong. Years later, they met up and tried to rekindle their love but Issa couldn't go through with it because he had a child (they were not together at the time) with someone else. To me, Lawerence was always too good for Issa. I hope she chooses Nathan.
Nathan was already going through a lot with his family judging him and shit when he’s trying to correct his errors. He already didn’t wanna be in that three ring circus shit when he got his own personal shit to deal about with
The last 2 seasons really showed how immature and lame Lawrence was and he handled literally everything in the most sloppy way and was still rewarded. Like Issa you’re seriously letting him off the hook and that kid live with you? Legit settled for less due to the sunk cost fallacy.
That’s cause his mans Chad or whatever the fuck his name is influenced him. If he ain’t say anything about it Lawrence would’ve left that shit alone. Just cause you have history with someone it doesn’t mean you should stay with them.

The only thing this scene told me is Issa still wants Lawrence.. The fact that she couldn't answer his SIMPLE question (ARE YOU HAPPY?) says it all. Doesn't matter if Lawrence spoke his truth there or elsewhere.. They still want each other..

Nathan deserves better
i was living for this moment literally on the edge of my bed to everything like Lawrence spilling out his love her and for nathan coming in and wasnt having it to the "IM CHILL" moment i loved this all literally bone chilling
Issa wasn’t matured either while cheating tf 😒?
Agreed!

A LOT of DRAMA can happen in 2 mins or LESS 😂😅!!
Issa and Lawrence dated and lived together in their 20's and Lawrence was depressed and needed to get himself together. She was patient but was getting tired of him. Lawrence needed to mature, and he tried to replace Issa with each woman he slept with, but he couldn't stop loving Issa and she never stopped loving him. I'm glad the two got together at the end.
Issa really held him down for sure.

I feel like the season will either end with her being with Nathan or her being alone.

Move on Issa. To everything there is a season....

I was really yelling at the tv "come on Stop yall!!! Stop it!!!!" LMAOOOO Lawrence did not have to do that there
Lawrence should’ve let Issa be happy with Nathan
Whew I felt that “I’m chill”
This is my opinion (not to be bias):
Yes they should talk things out but there’s always a time and a place to do that and for what Lawrence did, it was kinda out of the blue to do that in front of Nathan. Not only that, I get it, nobody is ever happy when they’re with someone else and they miss their ex, but at the same time, people gotta move on for the greater good.
Lawrence was out of pocket and this the second party of Derrick and Tiffany’s he’s acted an ass at
Issa looks happier with Nathan. She laughs more and seems peaceful.

Right, but let's not forget that she cheated on Lawerence causing them to break up. She is not innocent at all!

I used to like Lawrence as well but he became a douchebag in time 🤦🏾♂️💯
Lawrence was desperate. Also remember Issa brother purposely initiated the dog fight by asking Nathan where he would be the next day
These anti-Lawrence comments didn't age well...at all lol!
But if Lawrence was "toxic", so was Nathan who actually was upset the second he seen Lawrence at the party. Overall this show is really good it’s so realistic like you can relate to these characters.
But Nathan was already 1st introduced to Issa way before larwance and Issa had got back together
