I'm really starting to think brass is the lingerie of the tool world. I mean steel is nice, your everyday kind of panties, but brass - look out! Sh!ts getting hot in here. Nice job sir
Wow George , the new brass pins were serious tool suspenders in the tool lingerie world ..... I'd never have thought what you started with coulda turned out like this ...
*Great pull down George. Very interesting watching you tackle each issue. I would have liked to have seen you put those Brass pins in though. Keep up the great work. Stay safe Be safe and get well soon*
That came out pretty good George. Awesome addition to the workship. I like how you kept the antique look on some of the metal parts. Goes nicely with all the rest. Well done 👍👌
Thank You Mr. John! I tried not to let them slip but this little scraper acted like it didn't want to be restored..fought me all the way. Thanks for checking it out.
That is a good restoration George., It gets interesting when you have to replace the pins and things like that,. Not that it matters but the knobs on the rear are reversed from the way you started, Not at all being critical just thought I would mention it.
It's funny. I put it back the original way, but it just didn't seem right after all the time. I spent polishing that damn knobs out, just thought it looked better😂
Thanks Alex! These old tools are amazing. I think tool company's just took more pride in what they were selling. Today they don't seem to care as much. If it breaks oh well just send ya another piece of junk..
Thank You very much. Oh those pins! Some where back in time some guy was like "wouldn't it be funny to use these" I'll keep a lookout for another and if I find one I'll snap it up for ya.
On the subject of Stanley, in your workshop tour last week, I noticed a box or small cabinet with the sweetheart logo. How about giving us a closer look at that?
That is a home made box I picked up from the flea market a few months ago it has a little story that goes with it... it's showcased in my weekly Flea market haul video # 3. if you would like you can check it out there.
Another fine job on another fine tool. Did the blade have any marking? In my recent old wooden box of treasure, I got three stanley rule and level blades, two of which say No. 12B on them with the sweetheart logo and all three have stanley rule and level marked on them as well.
Hey Greg, I'm not exactly sure. It's not Marked sweetheart so that kinda narrows it down. I know it was 1940's. or earlier. Have a great week and see you soon.
Wow looks really good, I'm just curious does it matter which way the adjustable knob and the washers are oriented? Awesome job, thanks again and see you Sunday
Hey Mike there's no difference they do the same thing. But I figured i spent so much time polishing it I might as well showcase it. Take care and see you Sunday.
"Tap and Die them out", a non machinist expression??? 😅 Nice looking salvage job. The scraper is a tool that I have never seen used, nor can I imagine a place where I would ever use it. Will you demonstrate its intended function?

A Thank You! A little sass, a little class, and a whole lotta Brass.
Beautiful restoration George you knew just how far to take it so it still has the antique look great job
Thank You Michael. I thought long and hard about the finish for this one. It took almost 2 weeks.
It turned out great! I love watching these tools get refinished, there is something truly satisfying about it and I'm sure you have fun doing it.
Thank You John. I have fun most times but sometimes they can be a pain in the neck. I'm glad you are enjoying them.
Amazing!! Looks like a piece of art!! Ready now to live on making some fine pieces of its own for years to come!
Thank You! These old tools are beautiful and if taken care of will last many lifetimes.
Another beauty and it only took a couple colorful words. Lol. Great job as always.
Hey Matt! There were a lot more than a couple..😂. I edited out most of them. Thanks Man I appreciate ya checking it out.
Hey !George vraiment une très belle restauration, mon ami. Encore un outil de sauver et prêt pour retravailler, super. ❤
Thank You Patrick! I really appreciate your very nice comments. It will last many more years and hopefully be used for some nice projects.
Outstanding job buddy. The brass with steel and wood are an unbeatable combination. Love it. I was waiting for this one. You didn’t disappoint. 👍
Thank you my brother! I'm glad you were pleased! It's really a wombat skinner though.😅. Take care and say hello to the Missus for us!

Thank You Big Brother! These don't turn up everyday and I am so lucky to have it. I thought just a bit more brass would do the trick.

Wonderful restoration George. I agree the finish you achieved is spot on and we'll worth all the sweat and bad words.
Thank You Mr. John! I tried not to let them slip but this little scraper acted like it didn't want to be restored..fought me all the way. Thanks for checking it out.
Very Nice job George
Thank You Ken! I'm glad you liked how it came out. Thanks for tuning in.

Glad someone else mentioned it first. I was going to PM George, but he probably already noticed the reversal and switched them around.
It's funny. I put it back the original way, but it just didn't seem right after all the time. I spent polishing that damn knobs out, just thought it looked better😂
Looks great to me brother, I still have those Dunlap planes to do so I was taking notes.@@georgebradford8931
Great job, looks perfect. Nice job on those pins, I know that was nerve racking and difficult, been there. Enjoyed the video.
Thanks Fred! That's a nice way of putting it about those pins.😅
Amazing resto
Thank You!
Sweet, never seen one of those. Nice job. Thanks.
Hey Joe, I've only seen a couple around but this is the first one I was able to bring home. Thanks I'm glad you like it!
Nice! They knew how to made tools that were functional and looked good back in the day. Can't beat a bit of brass, nicely done👍🏻
Thanks Alex! These old tools are amazing. I think tool company's just took more pride in what they were selling. Today they don't seem to care as much. If it breaks oh well just send ya another piece of junk..
Thanks for bringing this solid old tool back to life. I have never seen one quite like this.
Pat, I've seen a couple but I've never had the chance to own one. So when I did get this one I knew I had to save it. Catch up with ya later.
Nice job! Been looking for one of those myself. Nice save on the blind pins. Not a fun situation.
Thank You very much. Oh those pins! Some where back in time some guy was like "wouldn't it be funny to use these" I'll keep a lookout for another and if I find one I'll snap it up for ya.

Nice old stuff. hey brother put an edge on that iron
Thank you! Oh ya Brother I did. Didn't show it in this video I'm planning on showing putting a edge on in another video.
"Pretty shitful" I've never heard that before 😂😅 The Stanley scraper looks great Super George! Now i gotta find me one😂 Well done

Thanks! It was just marked Stanley on the blade.
I think it turned out great. I wonder what year it was made🤔
See you on your next video.
Have a Jesus filled day everyone. Greg in Michigan

Does the blade and holder pivot? It appears to be backward at the end compared to the beginning.
It does pivot. Ya I changed the nuts around. I spent so much time polishing I wanted to have it on the outside. The functions don't change.
Wow looks really good, I'm just curious does it matter which way the adjustable knob and the washers are oriented? Awesome job, thanks again and see you Sunday

Nice looking salvage job.
The scraper is a tool that I have never seen used, nor can I imagine a place where I would ever use it. Will you demonstrate its intended function?
Damn it Paul.. I'm a Plumber not A Machinist 🤣
It's basically a card scraper with handles. Take it easy and see ya soon.
That appeared to be the original Rosewood handle. Why didnt you clean, sand and put an oil finish on it instead of painting it?
Hello, Yes it was the original handle. I cleaned it and used a spray lacquer to protect it. I did not use paint on it.
WHO showed that scraper who was boss!?!?! Mr. Wonderful did, that's who DANG NABBITT!!!!
Andy You DA Man! I love Ya!🤣🤣
THANKS DUDEZILLA!
