A documentary on the history and impact that Wooster Street in New Haven, CT has had on the community that surrounds it as well as the rest of the world.
The best thing about Wister street is when they used to close it down and Had the Aves for one week they would have all carts were you could buy food you could buy beloen's they had rides it was the best time but then people started fights and things like that and they stopped it they still have a little 1 sometimes but it's not the same when you could shut down a whole street and just have all kinds of Italian food it's the best time of your life The Funeral home IA Vonnie's would have a trailer there Tony and Lucille's would have a trailer there having food it will is just a good time it was like having a lady pompei but just all the food and it was fun now days they don't have the food or the fun that it used to be please comment back if you remember the good days the seventies and the eighties on Wister street thank you
How I miss the corner of Wooster & Brewery St (Now called DiPalma Court) each July 3 & 4..... The fireworks display would attract more people than the city sanctioned fireworks ..... I also miss the "Santa Maria Magdalene" feast (or the Ah' Fest) that took place every July where the street was closed from Brewery St to Franklin St...... Good memories...
Thank you for sharing this history of my hometown of New Haven. I miss that pizza…..
Everybody forgets to talk about the history of Lucibello’s Pastry too. Still going strong. Original recipe from Italy. The best.

My Dad always took us to Pepe's , I guess Him and Mr. Pepe were good friends , of course Mr. Pepe was nice with everyone.
My grandparents worked in Sargent and Armstrong. One died from workplace injuries... no recourse then.
New Haven pizza is %1000 better than new york
It used to be. Pizza scene has evolved in NYC and new places have opened
I go to Frank Pepe’s every Sunday after Mass at Saint Stanislaus Church
Unfortunately Pizza at the spot is t as good as it use to be 😢 it looks like they don’t use the brick ovens.
Where mobsters, gangsters?!
