As I’ve gotten older, I realize that getting mad or angry isn’t going to change the situation. What did they gain by destroying Liz soul? Or raining on her parade? Nothing. It didn’t change a thing...well it may have changed the respect she has for her parents. When the next big event happens, Liz may not want to share it with the two people who
DESTROYED HER SOUL THE FIRST TIME!

But when things go South because kids don't listen and are "just living their lives" and come running to the parents, is that controlling and rude?! As parents, we tell our kids what's up to hopefully help them avoid certain situations. We aren't trying to run their lives but just trying to get them to think things through. They don't listen, then look for our help and support. Yes, we give it but you just made unnecessary problems for yourself and us. So, yes, the parents are ticked. They are thinking long term while Liz was NOT thinking while in the heat of the moment.

You know young adults these days don’t think, we live in a society where anything goes. You can preach until your blue in the face, kids need to learn how to live and make mistakes. Yep even big mistakes, love them and don’t chastise them. They learn life’s big lessons by making mistakes rather than us parents telling “don’t do this and don’t do that”

The majority of parents want the best for their kids. Of course they would be upset and disappointed, but eventually that goes away and the love stays. Liz will be happier being a single parent than being in an unhappy relationship, but it's still not ideal for raising a child. Children do suffer when there is a broken home or missing parent. That's the truth. Hopefully, Liz will find support with her siblings and family- parents included. Brice also needs encouragement because he will be an outsider and this is his baby, too. It's better for the child if everyone gets along. Let's wish them all the best! ❤ Liz and Brice, God bless you and your new baby. May you always see the good in your child and celebrate each milestone. Try your best to lift each other up and not tear each other down, whether in a relationship with each other or not. Your baby needs to see and feel you being supportive of each other!

I understand the parents frustration. Our parents tell us certain things to try to help us prevent certain situations that may not be right at that time. They aren't against pregnancy but really wanted Liz and Brice to have their acts together, be in a committed, loving, respectful marriage, and then start having babies. Adult children aren't in some bubble. Their choices affect the entire family in one way or another, to one degree or another. So, saying they are grown doesn't mean they were ready for this. The parents have more years under their belts and were looking more down the road than Liz and Brice were. They will love their grandchild and help the parents but waiting would have been better, imo.

But you have two people who love each other and they both have their shit together and they made a baby!! We all know they have been sexually active for a long time! I’ve been married for over 33 years and when I dated my husband for seven years before I was married and I met him when I was 14! I got married and two years later I had my first son who cares that was my plan not nobody else’s!! I’m happy for her and think they did exactly the way they should have because it’s their lives!!

Trent and Amber knew their daughter was sexually active. The kids were living together!! Their baby may have been a surprise, but not a mistake. God doesn’t make mistakes!! I don’t know what was said to Liz when she told them about the pregnancy, but she didn’t need their judgement. She needed their understanding and reassurance that even though it wasn’t the ideal situation, that she wasn’t alone and that they were there to support and help ..but not take over and try to take control. Liz has accomplished more at her age than many do in their 30s or even later years. She has a good head on her shoulders. She fell in love and we all know that sometimes our judgement can fly out the window when your heart gets involved. These two do love each other and with support (not control) they can make it if they both want to. The best thing parents can do for their children is to love each other. I pray that Liz, Bryce and baby live a blessed life.

Trent and Amber only want the best for thier children as I would and I’m sure it’s been very disappointing to see Liz have a baby out of wedlock and also Brice doesn’t seem too ambitious. It’s very worrisome when you have a daughter that’s possibly going to be stuck as a single mom which Amber and Trent would never turn thier backs on her. So unless you live with this family or very close friends and experienced thier reaction then who are any of us to judge? I don't think Amber and Trent will ever be happy unless they are controlling one or all of there kids. I think Elizabeth should have rented a cheaper house and lived by herself and had Brice come over to help with the baby and even had him stay the night for a week or two after the baby is born to help out . Then he could have certain days of the week to stay a few nights to help out. I felt sorry for Brice because it was almost like her parents were blaming him for the break up. Trent saying Brice should of took Elizabeth on more dates that she liked. I think the parents just want to have all the control they can. I understand why Anna and johna are going to counseling it's because of the parents. They just need to let there kids live there life and if they make a mistake they can be there for them. That's how kids learn .

I don't see the parents as controlling, 22 is not that old. Only in the Western World do people think you are all grown up once, you hit 18 years old! If her parent's are willing to help her raise the baby then what is wrong with that.

In all honesty there can be no doubt this was always the plan. It’s kind of sad for the child to be born to two people in the middle of a breakup. A nursing student who knows about health and biology; not to mention the endless forms of contraception available, and yet she still got pregnant. The pregnancy was no surprise for her, it was the goal. As older people her parents know better than anyone the pregnancy could have been avoided but Liz had other plans. They know a baby can’t heal a broken or a doomed relationship. Brice wanted out, let’s face it. Trent knows that rocky relationships that turn into marriages because of a baby are bound to eventually end up in divorce. Pretending otherwise is just prolonging the inevitable agony. I’ve been there myself and I hate to see anyone else go through that. It’s a life altering pain that effects all parties forever.

😅 News flash. I watched up to the third episode and decided. These people are superficial and conceited. That's my opinion. Take it or leave it this doesn't surprise me. I came to RUclips to see some reviews for the show. Because I have negative feelings about it. And that just confirms it. 1 day their grandchild will be old enough and find out she wasn't wanted to begin with, and that's gonna leave some feelings.
For her to have to deal with. Also.
I think the little boy they adopted is spoiled.Rotten and emotionally not very regulated

I don't care what anyone thinks but these kids know how to keep from pregnancy and why in the world don't they do it. I just don't get it. I predict that this relationship will not last.

I always thought Liz was the most mature of the kids but I guess she showed me not so much. She got pregnant on purpose to keep Bryce whom she should have let go. He's not marriage material at this stage in his life, and Liz's controlling behavior with him was to keep him around but only backfired. She's lucky her parents will allow her to come home.

I got pregnant at 17 and then married. It lasted 2 years! We were both too young and dumb, so IMO they are better off not marrying just for the baby's sake. They can co-parent just fine without the added pressure from the families. 😊
BTW, that was 50 + years ago!

Had I got married with I got pregnant at 16 like my exes parents wanted, it would've been next to impossible to escape when he turned out to be abusive 2 weeks after we had our own place, as it was we were together 5 years, I was raped, tortured, had two babies and escaped at 3am in minus 49 weather 19 years ago. Seeing him in court both family and criminal was horrendous, I can't imagine having to have gone through a divorce. As it was I tried to kill myself many times. I'm still on meds from PTSD and I'm on disability. Marriage wouldn't have helped at all. It would have forced me to have to be near my abuser, the abuser of my children, the person who tried to kill us! I haven't even said his name outside of legally being needed to. I still have flashbacks and nightmares. Books or shows with his name trigger me! How about being married when you know it's right and not BC you got knocked up? Most ppl don't even realize the emotional, financial and physical abuse that went on with our grandparents or even parents who got married BC of a pregnancy. It's easier to pretend it was instant love.
Get used to it. Unwed parents are going to continue to rise BC a wedding is an unnecessary expense in a world where the majority are struggling with groceries. Homeless ppl get pregnant. It's human nature. It's animal nature to procreate. As my psycho exes dad who was a strict Baptist minister used to say "the second you had sex you were biblically married" then he would try to convince me that a legal marriage just solidified what already was

Ok, first thing, I knew Trent would be a jerk because it is all he does. He is always right and so self-righteous and so overbearing while his daughter is struggling with an untimely but huge mistake and needs compassion and support and unconditional love. Liz had decided that Brice was not her forever person as she has gotten to know his true self living with him 24/7. Then, big bomb, pregnancy. So sad at this time. While they are maki🎉ng some kind effort, it will never work. Staying for the kids as always, will not work. They need to admit the truth, agree to co-parent and move on. Trent & company needs to just shut up and do what you should.
