Hi Dave Thankyou for sharing your John & Yoko Wedding Album collection with us. It shows how well you look after your Beatles collections by the good conditions they are in. Take care and have a good week.
Thanks very much Sarah ! The wedding album is probably one of the hardest to get in anything like excellent condition, it’s just trying to maintain that also. You have a fab week too, stay safe!
15:54 This edition is so cute! I've been wanting to get a hold of this album for quite sometime because I love the general aesthetic of it. But I think this one is my favorite.
Hi, I can’t agree more, it’s an absolute brilliantly done miniaturisation of J&Y’s Wedding Album. I believe they are certainly still about at reasonable prices! Thanks for watching! Stay well!
Fascinating stuff once again. Your clips are very thorough. Pity the content on the actual LP was so bizarre. A few good songs would have helped it sell well. But it is what it is...weird but interesting.
Here's another album I bought in 1981 for $19.99 in New York: an EMI Odeon Japanese import box. It was a beautiful box in which the packaging was the attraction because the content on the record was... not good. This album has not appreciated much in years. I can now find original US pressings for about $35 at used record stores, with the entire contents, and the reissues are about the same price. The problem with this album as well as "Two Virgins" , "Live Peace IN Toronto 1969" and "Life with the Lions" is that, aside from historic value, the music in them, including the live album, are nothing to write home about. I used to own ALL of these, and later in life SOLD all of them. I even found, about 10 years ago, a sealed original 1969 "live Peace in Toronto" US pressing WITH the calendar inside: $20. I sold the record but kept the calendar. I don't miss them.
Your absolutely right , I think they are more of a curiosity then anything else. The Wedding album was quite elaborate for the time. I’d be interested in buying a nice USA one if you see one. I have all the mint inserts and record so just want a mint out box ! Let me know if possible! Regards
@@beatledavesbeatleschannel I've seen them as recently as 3 weeks ago in a couple of used record stores. They used to be rare, but in one store I saw 3 copies: 2 old US and 1 new Secretly Canadian. Unfortunately - and you could expect this - these records, although not played much, were housed in G - VG condition boxes. I don't think at the time, record buyers thought that "this will be worth a lot of money if I keep it sealed - or in top condition". They bought them, scattered them across the room, let their stoned friends mishandle the artwork, and then put it back together, sometimes with a missing piece or two. You r channel is one of the very few in which we can see museum quality original pieces, and that's no easy job. So, congratulations, and thank you!
@@manolokonosko2868 Yes your most probably right there , the USA box was also much more of a fragile affair as opposed to the uk one ! Very kind to say about my collection too ! Stay well!

To be honest, it’s a very well made package for the time for those that wanted to share their marriage at the time. The John & Yoko side, is not good listening but the Amsterdam side is a better listen. Thanks for your comments!
Very serious, it’s a John & Yoko production and the third part of their trilogy of unfinished music. No one had to buy it, but it became a collectors item. Nothing wrong with the Amsterdam side as an eves-drop on John & Yoko! Same as Live peace in Toronto , one good side, one not so good!
@@beatledavesbeatleschannel unfinished music aptly titled. Let’s face it. Musically Save for a few singles and a handful of live tracks most of John Lennon solo work before plastic Ono band is absolute garbage
You entitled to your opinion, just like me. You don’t sound like much of a Lennon fan but you like what you like, it’s up to you. The idea of this channel is to show items that I’ve been collecting for 42 years to people who may or may not have seen some or all of it. I’m not here to argue with anyone, but I’m sure there is plenty of other forums you could discuss what you do and don’t like on! Happy Christmas!
Hi Tone, Actually that’s a good point , I can’t think of anyone having an elaborate box of any description prior to the wedding album! Could very well be the first! The Japanese sure do an excellent Job! Stay well Buddy!

Was 1st vinyl issue including anything more than later!!?? Ta
I believe all the sets including the later ones are exactly the same, the U.K. original tends to be the best quality in my opinion!
My vinyl had no plastic bag uk
Hi Trevor,
Did you buy it around the time or later on?
They all should have had one.

Here's a ,mystery : WHO is the person standing behind John & Yoko on the front picture on the boxset?
Hi,
The only other people there that day was Peter brown and the photographer David Nutter, so not sure !
