I have two ideas for a Try Not To Eat challenge, someday. 1. A challenge featuring foods from Craig of the Creek, there's plenty of good stuff from there and the Punishment Food can be the Sour Candy Craig tried or Bridge Troll's Cereal Sludge. 2. A Dungeons & Dragons themed one...there's practically several cookbooks featuring irresistible recipes
Try Not To Eat That's So Raven Prize Mr. & Mrs. Baxter's Chocolaty Chocolate Chunky Chunk Cookies and Creamy Dreamy Peanuty Buttery Cake Punishment Raven's S'mores Graham Crackers with Blue Cheese and Mustard
she even likes punishment foods in their challenge videos i love her sometimes people will be yelling and gagging she always finds something to like no problem
I like how Jaime and Jayse are explaining each textures and taste from every palate. They’re questions to what goes into a Filipino street food and what’s being incorporated, is interesting.
Here are some Filipino food you should try next! (I enjoyed these the most when I was in the Philippines): - Iskrambol/Ice Scramble - Buko Pandan - Bicol Express - Pork Sisig - Chicharon - Lumpia - Tocilog - Inihaw na Liempo - Tapsilog
Jaime always looks like an innocent little kid. Her nibbling the chicken feet reminded me of me feeding my kids solids for the first time. Those big eyes and innocent tasting 😂
I'm a Filipino, and I'm telling you, there's a lot more you must try when it comes to Filipino foods. I'm hoping there's a part 3 of this😊 Btw, Jaime is so cute and adorable 🤩😍
hi from the Philippines. I love everyone and the appreciation of Filipino culture. I just have one thing, Maja Blanca is read as Maha Blanca. Hehehehe. Love you all.
Benny and Jair together is so fun to watch. She has chemistry with everyone. Anyway, a better way to eat Pares: put some of the beef soup onto your rice, drizzle with soy sauce dip that has crunchy toasted garlic bits and chili oil and a tiny splash of calamansi. Soooo good. I miss it.
The stringy part of halo halo is sweetened jack fruit. The other usual ingredients are sweetened stuff like bananas, sweet potato, white beans, coconut, jello and ube . Restos usually top it with ice cream and flan.
LoL what do you mean finally? We've never had that "specific instruction" here in the PH. The name got coined because we have a general adjective/expression we say when a variety of stuff is together, which is 'halo-halo', and not just for food. Otherwise, we would have called it "hinahalo", 'halu-haluin', or 'haluin' if what you wrote actually existed. Half the time, I don't "mix-mix" it, which I also see with other Filipinos here, nor have I ever been noticed or called out by any kababayan in my entire life. What we were taught is that it's up to the person having it, instead of something that's culturally insensitive if not done, because, again, that's not what the name means. Please stop making up bogus rules about our cuisine and just let others enjoy their halo-halo, mixed or not, in peace, coz that requirement is as stupid as telling westerners, including Italians, how to "properly" eat spaghetti.
I am a Filipino and I love those skewers/bbq but it doesn't look cooked 😂 it is called ihaw-ihaw or grilled in english, those were not grilled at all, looked boiled to me 😅
Pancit is such a comfort food for me along with Taho. Taho, champorado and buko pandan are my favorite childhood desserts! I get halo halo with my parents once in a while during summer and it’s so refreshing.
the inihaw platter is raw. But I'm also glad that you tell them to mix the halo halo first before trying. The string like in the halo halo is from the fruit called jackfruit
That girl takin’ a shot of the sabaw not wanting to stop eatin’… you a real one ahah. I actually appreciate all of their reactions and being good sports to the unknown flavors and textures ^__^
The inihiwa was really done wrong doesn't seem seasoned, especially the betamax being undercooked yickes. This can pass as punishment food for next challenge
They should've explained what was the long gooey stuff on the Halo-Halo so that they won't be scared to try another Halo-Halo in the future. :D I believe it's either a thin coconut meat, or a jackfruit. And like what the other ones said, the Betamax is raw, it should be charred a bit. :D
Okay, Filipino here. Let me note: It is Chicken Blood, not Pork. Betamax does not look cooked. Fishballs are supposed to be deep-fried, not grilled. Adidas also doesn't look cooked. Adidas are supposed to be darker and saucy. Isaw has two kinds, one chicken intestine, and one pork intestine. Pares is supposed to be a soup, they made it with less soup to fit American preferences. Lomi is okay. The Gulaman was on point. They upgraded the Maja Blanca. Halo-Halo is a classic, It is impossible to mess it up.
@@lethal3268 yes, pero mas cheap at common Kase ang chicken. Mas maganda paninda. Pag nantanung ka sa mga nagiihaw kun ano betamax nila, Lalo na po sa manila, Ang common na sasabihin ay manok po. When we make Halo Halo here are our ingredients: Sweet Red Beens Sweet Garbanzos Macapuno Sweet Saba Banana Red and Green jello Rice crispies Nata de Coco Shaved ice Evaporated Milk Topped with Leche Flan and Ube Halaya
Nahh as a filipino thats not how you cook betamax. It should be a little roasted on the outside and the texture should be similar to a fried tofu. The color should be darker. I know that's taste bad with that look, but I bet you gonna love that betamax once cooked properly.
Fish balls should be fry until golden brown Betamax needs more grill and dip with vinegar (with chili for optional) Adidas needs more grill as well and dip with soy sauce but you can explore your own condiments you prefer. For pigs or chicken intestines, I prefer the chicken because pig intestine has more bitter taste than chicken. We eat halo-halo specially summer and/or vacation. Fast food will serve you if you want it anytime.
my mom and aunt told me that sago at gulaman drink was a thing even before boba was invented. my aunt was a 60s-70s kid. its just nobody made a fuss about it as if its just some natural thing you see on the streets and local carinderia.
I think were missing bryan on this episode, i think the slimy thing Jair is asking is the "Langka", it is a Jackfruit. You need to do part 3 hahaha we must see Bryan and Sharon together doing this. You can try Chicken Skin, Kwek kwek so much more, and you need to grill those Inihaw especially the Betamax, and dip them to sauces so it will taste much better. Really love Jamie, she is not a picky eater and loving every foods given to her even in other episodes. ❤❤
Yes yes yes! Thank you so much. Vinegar is our condiment. It goes with EVERYTHING. Also, good pronunciation Nicole. 👍btw, the stringy thing was jackfruit in halo-halo. Nothing to be scared of.
Part 3 is possible because there's a lot more delicious Filipino Street foods out there. Like dynamite, maruya, banana cue, camote cue, bibingka, kutsinta, lumpiang okoy, a lot of rice cakes, taho, sapin sapin, squid balls, kikiam, Philippine siomai, other varieties of pancit, porridge, banana con yelo, and more
The inihaw like isaw, betamax, and ears are best served hot off the grill, with some charring on it, gives it a deeper smokey and nutty flavor, paired with a well spiced vinegar to take the edge of the gamey-ness, is perfection. One more thing, traditionally, the Maja Blanca is just sweet corn pudding, the Ube layer on top was a good creative choice though.
They’re so fun to watch! They sure do know how to put their feelings and observations into words when i would otherwise just say “this is good i like it” lmao
For part 3, y'all should try Dynamite, Kikiam, Fried Siomai, Siopao, Taho, Bananaque, Suman, Bibingka and to name a few. By the way, the Halo-Halo should have a small amount of flan on top. Both Jair & Sharon asking what's the white stringy they've eaten, that's a coconut strips. Maybe you should also make a Try to Eat Filipino Breakfast Food because there's lot of food combos.
Im just so happy that you made them stir halo halo first before trying. Ive seen couple of videos letting them eat it ingredient by ingredient, the response would be typically bland cause theyre eating it wrong. Lol! ❤❤❤
As a Filipino, without the Kwek-Kwek, isaw, or one of the fishball things, this whole meal wouldn't be complete. They're practical staple street food fit for hours long consumption.
The betamax in raw not cook or grill before eating hahahaha betamax is really good when it has grill well. but thank for featuring our street foods. Happy that you have a part 2 now. Keep it up good job!
15:21 The halo halo thing just came from the Japanese, not Korean. We didn't have any Korean influence in the past. Just heavily Chinese and a little bit of Japanese.
That hairy thing is indeed fruit. Its langka or jackfruit, if its over riped (or cooked with sugar to extend its shelf life and sweeten it further) it softens and becomes a bit stringy.
Those should be grilled more. You should see some visible char on it. Also, you should've boiled the chicken feet first and then grill it for less toughness and more collagen consistency.

I just love Jamie...she eats and tries everything
I love the guy in leather jacket. He’s very open to the diversity of each food & respectful at the same time
The more i watch Jaime the more i just love her. She eats anythings and so excited to try new things. So cute, so pretty.

The stringy part of halo halo is sweetened jack fruit. The other usual ingredients are sweetened stuff like bananas, sweet potato, white beans, coconut, jello and ube . Restos usually top it with ice cream and flan.
FINALLY!!! This is how you serve Halo-halo. You "mix-mix" before you eat it. Kudos to the channel for giving that specific instruction 🥳
Uh. It's in the name though. Mix mix
LoL what do you mean finally? We've never had that "specific instruction" here in the PH. Jaime really appreciates food of any kind! She's totally one of my favourite reactors!
I love Jamie, she is always so happy trying out new foods
Benison is so expressive, fun to watch him eat!
I am a Filipino and I love those skewers/bbq but it doesn't look cooked 😂 it is called ihaw-ihaw or grilled in english, those were not grilled at all, looked boiled to me 😅
Omg, you are right! The skewers weren't charred at all. 😅
Jair and Benison together is top tier!! 🎉😂
thank you for showing our street foods, it’s always amazing to see others get to try it
jaimes quickly becoming one of my favorites on people vs food !! shes so enthusiastic and just loves everything i love her sm😭🫶
Right! Benny and Jaime are my two favorite new-ish Reactors.
Pancit is such a comfort food for me along with Taho. Taho, champorado and buko pandan are my favorite childhood desserts! I get halo halo with my parents once in a while during summer and it’s so refreshing.
So much humor going on for that black woman and asian guy out there, made my day actually 😂
I am a Filipino, those foods on sticks ALL LOOK SO RAW?!!! Those are not cooked so well, so undercooked!
Jaime is so cute. She eats well no matter what is put in front of her.
As a filipino, im glad that people from other countries enjoy our foods. Salamat and sagu at gulaman is my favorite mang inasal beverage
I love Jaime's reactions to food that she likes 🤣 it's always so wholesome and quirky
When Benison seen the beef stew thing.. LOL
Also Jamie is growing on me. Becoming a second or third favorite. She is so cute with her reactions
I'm just smiling throughout the video. Thank you for trying Filipino delicacies, please do part 3.
You guys have to do a part 3 trying . mango float , leche flan fruit salad and many more ☺️
Agreee❤❤❤❤❤❤
the inihaw platter is raw. But I'm also glad that you tell them to mix the halo halo first before trying. The string like in the halo halo is from the fruit called jackfruit
Lmao benison and jair is always a hilarious duo 🤣🤣
Jayse is traumatized by food punishment.
The way he ask soo many time was hilarious 😅😂😂😂😂
Jair and benison
Perfect comedy duo
Full of reactions and laugh
That girl takin’ a shot of the sabaw not wanting to stop eatin’… you a real one ahah. I actually appreciate all of their reactions and being good sports to the unknown flavors and textures ^__^
I love Jair and Benny. They're the comedic duo I need in my life!
Finally, a foreign show that features Halo-Halo and teaching them to start mixing them first before eating.
I love the fact that you guys used the signature serving glass of halo-halo 😂
The inihiwa was really done wrong doesn't seem seasoned, especially the betamax being undercooked yickes. This can pass as punishment food for next challenge
Jaime is my spirit animal how she just digs in as her face and expression says it all
They should've explained what was the long gooey stuff on the Halo-Halo so that they won't be scared to try another Halo-Halo in the future. :D I believe it's either a thin coconut meat, or a jackfruit. And like what the other ones said, the Betamax is raw, it should be charred a bit. :D
Yep, that's jackfruit
Can I have some short videos of Chef Ash just trying random recipes and feeding them to Jaimie? I bet she'd be a fun taste tester.
Jair and benison are so funny together
All of those look so undercooked? We usually grill them til they're nice and dark.
Can y’all do a full Jamaican street food episode 🇯🇲🇯🇲🇯🇲🇯🇲
Please do yes
The expressions of jaime are so cute. I am just obsessed with her cuteness.
Okay, Filipino here. Let me note: It is Chicken Blood, not Pork. Betamax does not look cooked. Fishballs are supposed to be deep-fried, not grilled. Adidas also doesn't look cooked. I've been watching you guys for a very long time now, and this is the first time I clicked on a video this fast. haha
Finally, the correct way to introduce halo halo by making them mix it all together before eating!
KEEP AN OPEN MIND. . . . creative approach to food , during hard times. . .creativity is a must. . . .its cultural . ..
Fish balls should be fry until golden brown
Betamax needs more grill and dip with vinegar (with chili for optional)
Adidas needs more grill as well and dip with soy sauce but you can explore your own condiments you prefer.

Let’s get a prank Sharon episode where it’s a try not to eat with all fish options. The prize being also fish and the punishment being a steak.
Now that would be a hilarious episode 😂
Jayse and Jaime have a sibling type of vibe, they're both calm compared to the other pairs who were chaotic lmao it's a cute and wholesome vibe
jair and benison are so good together
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
15:10 Don't be scared guys! The gooey, stringy thing is actually overriped jackfruit bits.
Love jair and benny together ultimate friend goals ❤

15:09 - That was macapuno - a special kind of soft coconut meat

FINALLY, A VIDEO WHERE THEY ACTUALLY MIXED THE HALO-HALO!
As a Filipino, without the Kwek-Kwek, isaw, or one of the fishball things, this whole meal wouldn't be complete. They're practical staple street food fit for hours long consumption.
they have it on 1st episode
Your comment let alone this episode is unfair
This only proves that you are new to this channel and already judge without even reading the title and watched the first episode.

Yellow thing fibers is jackfruit- you might think it is hairy but it's just fiber of the fruit.
Benison and jair are just the best combo❤

I don't think that's pork blood. Here in the Philippines we use chicken blood for betamax.
Yes!!! Since we also have majority of Muslim in our country that's why we quite balancing street food that serve pork.
That hairy thing is indeed fruit. Its langka or jackfruit, if its over riped (or cooked with sugar to extend its shelf life and sweeten it further) it softens and becomes a bit stringy.
Those should be grilled more. You should see some visible char on it. Also, you should've boiled the chicken feet first and then grill it for less toughness and more collagen consistency.
they bought it from a filipino shop though.
