    I think there’s nothing more fitting than the names of the lemurs from the movie Madagascar, King Julien the ring-tailed lemur, Maurice the aye-aye, and Mort the mouse lemur

    That is a pretty amazing lemur house. If I was one of the baby lemur's there my parents would have a really hard time putting me to sleep with all the climbing entertainment that's in the cage area. Another fun one and so many new ideas to play with. Thank You. I found that you can use a filter under Properties on the Nature menu for Climbable, which is very helpful when you want real plants in your climbing animals habitats. In the spirit of using species to match names, I think Lenny, Leo, Leon, and Leona are good names for Lemurs. Lenny the Lemur sort of rolls off the tongue.

    I love these videos so much, I've been playing PZ for ages and have learned so much just from these first 3 videos! Thank you for sharing. One tip I've learned with those mesh pieces and wooden beams (when I built a racoon habitat and the little darlings kept escaping), is that if you select all of the pieces in the group, you can actually toggle whether they're climbable or not, which is super helpful when you want to create pretty cages :) Thank you again for all of your hard work and beautiful building work!
    Edited to say that I do really like the metal beams on the cage though, looks really cool!

So yes the update which allowed the toggleable climbable feature actually came out about very shortly after I released this video, absolute game changer! I do cover it in the most recent video of the series, but a VERY useful feature to now have, I could have avoided all that struggle! 😆

    A few weeks late, but finally able to sit down and watch this episode. To answer your question, I do like the voiceover during the time lapse. Either reviewing after or during works for me, especially since this series is introducing people to PZ and it's building mechanics. I've played since launch, but have only recently gotten comfortable with the patching and building mechanics so I'm sure even folks who are old timers are learning about some of the reasons you make certain choices as well. Anyway, I'm off to build a mixed lemur enclosure! I've always stuck to walkable enclosures whenever the animal has that option, but I tent to make those overly bulky, so this will encourage me to explore other options with some of the smaller, curious animals ❤️

    Absolutely adored the tall cage! Great idea. Amazing work with the climbing posts throughtout. The Prairie Dogs are still my favourite attraction up to this point tho :D I just love how it feels absolutely natural with the surrounding rocks, like a little crater/haven for Big Ounce and his troop. The Lemur House feels a bit more urban, less like the outside of the enclosure is as much of an attraction as the inside. The overall layout, the different areas and climbing apparatuses super make up for it tho.
    I was left wondering tho, would it be possible to overlay small wooden logs over the concrete (inside and/or out) to give it a more natural feel or would it let the lemurs escape?

    This is exactly why I shouldn't play this game. I'd spend all my time watching Prarie dogs and lemurs and everything else would die. They are really cute.
    As for names...since the lemurs are black and white, surely one of them should be called Egg.
    Really liking this series, and the commentary over the time lapses works for me.
    Thanks FewC...

    And do you need to give the keepers a way into the treehouse to clean the bedding?

    Or should I rther use blueprints? Some of the builds look manageable (e.g. the staff building and some parts of the Food and Drink building), but I don't know how much I am going to build with angles etc. - my buildings might well be significantly simpler. Or I use the generic stands... what impact does that have?

    • @fewcandy
      @fewcandy  Год назад +1

      You can use blueprints, that’s a good way to still have the decorations to increase guest happiness without having to design a building yourself. They are expensive in the early game so you may want to use a plain stand at first and upgrade to a blueprint once you have enough money

      @@fewcandy Thanks for the tips. I plan to play in sandbox mode anyway, so I probably won't have financial woes. But still, I'll at least try my hand at some buildings, landscapes, writing etc.! Maybe not as intricate as yours, but after all, I do manage better and better in House Flipper, too...

    Also, as paths are quite finicky, I might well resort to just straight paths without such special forms etc. - is that possible, too?

    • @fewcandy
      @fewcandy  Год назад

      Yes of course, no difference if your paths are straight, it’s about however you’d like to design it

  • @timokarff6162
    @timokarff6162 Год назад

    Also, what impact do paths have which are not as smooth or clear as you make them? If I have rather chaotic paths or simpler ones?

    • @fewcandy
      @fewcandy  Год назад +1

      No impact, the guests will still walk on them. Narrow paths may get blocked/very busy when guest numbers increase, that’s the only consideration

    • @timokarff6162

      @@fewcandy Okay, that's good that one CAN also use less intricate and less finicky paths.

      So there's been an update to the game since I did this video, in this one I show how you now need to disable climbing on any scenery objects which can be climbed, it's at 29.17, should be at the timestamp via this link. Try that. Otherwise make sure that you don't have any climbing frames too close to you walls or roofs as they'll be able to glitch through the barriers that way! ruclips.net/video/h0KKIqxpJ2k/видео.html

    • @fewcandy
      @fewcandy  9 месяцев назад

      That is likely to due not having the path connected properly to the keeper gate, try deleting the path and adding it in again, hopefully that will work! And make sure you have paths from the trade centre to the habitat fully connected!

      Good to hear I am teaching something! And understand about the speed builds, one tip I have given people is to watch it back on half speed which you can do on RUclips. But everything I speed over is techniques I have covered in previous episodes, I really try not to do anything new in any of the sped up bits!
