Why not having Caicedo play right sided FB OOP and inverting into midfield in possession how he played in Brighton many times, and having KDH in left pocket as 8/10. KDH is much better OOP than Felix or Nkunku. So we would maintain the balance and have KDH in his favorite position instead of Gusto so high on the pitch. This way Palmer can continue playing as right side pocket as KDH adds necessary balance.
Using Gusto/Cucurella as attacking midfielders is criminal, especially when you have FOUR fantastic 10s in your team in Nkunku Palmer Carney and Felix. Maresca is very stubborn too, you could see against liverpool it didn't work and he persisted with it. We were lucky to get the draw from Old Trafford, thank you Garnacho.
@@aaaaaaa4750 Will have a video out Wednesday to explain, because it’s not as simple as that To get Felix, Nkunku or someone into the secondary 8/10 position, Palmer ends up moving to the right (worse for him and Maresca loses a natural stretch and pin 1v1 threat out wide) in order to allow Gusto/Reece to overlap (can’t pin their fullbacks as easily)
@HoldenConnor00 i know these caveats bro, but we are getting worse offensively, our only threat is centrally with Palmer, or Jackson in transition. Doesn't help that we didn't buy a striker that can head the ball in, that could be an alternative to attacking through palmer
@HoldenConnor00 what i'm saying is that our system heavily depends on these CAM/8 positions to create anything, and when we use Gusto or Cucu there it's easier for opps to double on Palmer, and our attacks stagnate.

Great analysis just so unlucky we just dropped our worse performance in the season and we had times where we broke our own attacks stupidly
