The German version is exactly the same lens except for the writing on the outside BUT if you really feel you must have one then there is one listed on EBAY at this time from a highly regarded reseller from whom I have bought many lenses and cameras.
Yes it would, it would beat it hands down in terms of sharpness and metrics. That being said, there’s an appeal to these more vintage lenses of being less clinically sharp and more “natural”.
I had one many years ago, sold it and today I just bought another. I can't wait to use it.
I've been considering this lens so thanks for the video!
Glad you like it. You won’t regret it!
Can only seem to find the Canada versions on the used market these days... may have to settle for a ASPH model.

@@crissignori7482I know! The difference in price is negligible at the price of a Leica lens and I might as well shoot for the stars.
The difference is exactly $1000. I had the German one but now I own the Canadian version.@@quintonmckimm
@@crissignori7482 it is not. Canada version of the lens has plastik part inside, whereas German version does not.
@@wojt4spes that is NOT what I have heard
For the same price wouldn’t the asph version outperform this older version?
