Camron MabrySr regardless of the times, your trap speed tells you everything you need to know. And your lanes timer starts when you take off, it doesn’t go off your tree...because you can elect to to let the other lane jump before you...as he does a couple times. The times are to analyze the car’s acceleration and launch...not the drivers reaction time from brake to gas....so it IS ONLY FAIR to have the timer start after the car moves...how else would you be able to analyze the characteristics of the car? That would put so much un needed grey area in the timer...as the driver could tremendously affect that depending upon how they launch. The times have enough wiggle room as it is...
Ufff, the top end of GT500 (I think non Stock version) is impressive, but 911 starts, lows and mids with easy control make you almost imbeatable in 95% of all normal streets in the world.
Porsche has 641hp, weighs 500 pounds less and has zero issues with traction with its AWD. It'll wax a stock GT500's ass, mainly because it hooks...you saw the launch....which it should; it's $200,000. But stock or not, the blue 'Stang in this video is a bad boy and it sounds wonderful running those 9.50s. We've come a long ways since the early days of the Mustang, when a 428 Cobra Jet with slicks and open headers was a 12 second ride.
I used to feel the same way. A dual clutch is literally just a better manual transmission that has 2 clutches, one for the gear you’re in and one for the next etc. There is almost no delay when you hit the paddle shift, you still get all the control and feel as you would with a standard manual. It’s just a better transmission in terms of how it works, shifts astronomically fast. If I could get my hands on a gt500 I would actually vow to never drive a regular standard again. Although if I could do both it’d be better. It is just better technology, when you shift the next gear is already engaged on the second clutch and all it does is disengage one clutch and engage the other. Eliminating all the time wasted by you moving the shifter and kicking the clutch in and out. Horsepower is horsepower to me as long as it isn’t a torque converter automatic I’m ok with it.

@@bustersharman8115 L the Porsche had no mods 10.1 straight out the box...
C8 owner here and not a Ford Guy, but love how it took down that 911 💯
I can guarantee that none of those cars were in a "class".. If any of those care had equal power. Results in much closer races and times. A 760 hp 911 turbo is a 9.1-9.2 car. Stock 10.1 /650 hp
This was a 991 version the 992 version is much quicker
@Michael 02 uh what? 991, 991.2 and 992 both are equally the same... what are you on? Both cars have 0-60 under 2.5 seconds and run low 10’s stock. (911 Turbo S’s)
Cry much my guy
Why I will never buy a Porsche haha a women’s car
Turbo S owns any GT500 unless it has been substantially modified. That was no stock GT500. Maybe it had an extra 200 h.p. or so.
Comments are funny that gt500 is tuned with smaller pulley and e85 the Porsche is bone stock.
Still a fast car
That mustang and the driver are sick.
How tf he pull a 9.7 with a good start but 9.6 with a sleep start?
Lotta people don't know this, but even if you wait a few seconds at the tree, it won't affect your time. The timer for your run starts once you move
That doesn’t seem fair. The whole thing that makes a driver good is having a good response time. He just decided to shame that guy. We are talking about a race with a Honda with a Honda Civic
It's because they're not running heads up. It may even be a bracket race as consistent as this guy runs
I personally prefer the traditional green light and go since this shows drivers actual skill and response time. Otherwise it just seems someone might be scared of going head up...
That blue Mustang is very fast, and very consistent
How much hp/torque can the blue mustang have to run those numbers?
Around 950-1000 whp
That mustang is quick
That 911 can do that all day long.... plus most likely stock too.
I'm sure it is stock but being a AWD, its 0-60 is fuckin insane bro
It is.. runs that on normal fuel, road tyres , and zero tune..consistently.
Ufff, the top end of GT500 (I think non Stock version) is impressive, but 911 starts, lows and mids with easy control make you almost imbeatable in 95% of all normal streets in the world.
So many here ignore the HUGE difference in purchase price of the two cars.
@@9284vr what does that mean lol. 95 percent of people can’t afford either lol.
@@Incrediblewash My comment means exactly what it says-there is a huge price difference.
Nice grip and great with dct. But no chance against the new Turbo S 992
That turbo s smokes a stock gt500. Marvel of engineering 🙌
The driver and the GT500 are both very fine tuned.........
Filmed horizontally:)
That gt500 owner fell asleep behind the wheel!
That’s a very heavily modded gt500.
That Porsche ....my god.
I wake up earlier than the Porsche driver
Highly modified gt500 vs stock turbo s and yes the turbo s does 10's from the factory but the mustand sounds amazing.
That turbo s is running a 10.1 stock. Madness
It actually went faster too! That launch is nuts
@@DragRacingandCarStuff for real. Porsche has done an insane job with lauch control
We've come a long ways since the early days of the Mustang, when a 428 Cobra Jet with slicks and open headers was a 12 second ride.
dang porsche did absolutely amazing with the new 911's. a stock turbo S barely misses out on tuned gt500? cmon now.
Hahaha.. massively tuned. The 911 turbo runs 10.1s and 2s stock on carwow. A tuned one on slicks with race fuel will destroy that ford. 🔥👌👍
Is this one running a Whipple supercharger and IC or just the intercooler??
Sucks that the new GT500’s are only automatic. Yes it’s faster but it’s a muscle car it needs stick
American Muscle spanked that euro!!!
I love every second of it too!!!
European car is stock on road tyres on normal fuel with zero mods.. that basically makes your american muscle look really really silly now. 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
