The 1v1 was a perfectly mastered little segment of cinematography. Perfect understanding of how to let visuals and sounds play together, with no music to distract from the sheer panic in the cockpit. Wonderful.

Until you see any kind of explosions, smoke, or ground terrain. Those are terrible illusion-killers in this game. They need to put some of their budget towards improving those visuals.
@@tylerxic3241 Well he's right, despite AC being about high octane and wow factor it's funny that it was beat out by a qualitatively better dogfight scene without that dogfight scene needing to make the pilots have no blood in their veins and have aircraft that pull 100g's just to make it interesting. You can make stuff look cool without making it look stupid to those in the know it seems.
2:40 - 3:27 that 1v1 was absolutely incredible. Hollywood like action and cinematography while being completely realistic due to DCS. A tip of my hat to this wonderful movie as always.

I have to come back and comment again on how awesome this video is. Specifically the dogfight at 2:39 which utterly embarrasses every single professional movie studio in the world. You not only made a tense and cinematic dogfight scene, but you made it actually realistic using DCS and fairly accurate procedures for the entire event, with special attention to detail; like the rwr blip and the pilot scanning; The fox 2 missile giving obviously no warning other than visual; The defensive maneuver to put flares between you and the missile; Dropping bags because you're in an emergency life or death situation; And then the superior maneuverbility of the Hornet coming around for a shot; It's just beautiful man. Then your recreation of the iconic gulf war photo at 3:44 is absolutely brilliant. And finally the scene at 3:55 is not only cool because of nifty explosions, but it also has a really cool dynamic with the perspective and the ships in the background shooting. Bravo.

Actual aircraft were filmed dogfighting, but there's only so much you can do with American Aircraft, as there isn't exactly MiG-21s laying around that can be used for filming so other aircraft have to be used which give it the "fake feeling." That and it's Hollywood.

In a literal sense it's one of, if not, the most realistic dogfight in a movie because it's real aircraft doing real manouvers shooting a real missile. But youre not wrong when talking about the unbelieveable acting, since it's an American movie afterall; Where action comes first and facts come second. It leaves a lot to be desired

That noise is called the "blue note." It's usually caused by the slipstream whistling across the gun-ports above a certain speed. Some airplanes like the Hawker Hunter have an especially loud blue note.

WOW. This is hands down one of the best DCS cinematics i have ever seen. It has the power to draw you in the video. 4 minutes felt like it was 2 minutes, yet it had depth and meaning. It got me emotional ngl. I could feel the pressure of the wings in a tight turn. The G's pilots were experiencing. Incredible. Somehow..it felt real. Amazing job!

There are many DCS cinematic creators out there. There are a _few_ good ones. This is _the best_ DCS cinematic that I’ve seen and I keep coming back to it. It has a permanent spot on my watch later list. I can’t wait for even more from this team.
Well ... For a while I thought this video was made by Eagle Dynamics because of the incredible quality of the visuals, the sounds and the video edition ... But i was wrong because i quickly realized that it was better than ED movies ! The color of pictures, the camera angles, the music, the sounds effects, the video edition, all is perfect ! And Especially the 1V1 dogfight, the famous desert storm photo and the choice to show a lot of different aicrafts and ships ! To resume, it's the best movie i saw since a very long time in DCS World ! Really ! Congratulations, you can be proud, you've done a great job !!!

Back here after, what 10 months?, and that 1v1 (Hornet v F-1) is the best I've ever seen. I sent that bit to a former "real" fighter jock friend of mine. In short he thought it was "kind of exciting". From that crowd this is high praise indeed. DCS is lacking in game play but for those with your talent it's a hullva combat flight sim trailer-maker. Well done, again.
Expected a normal fan-movie...and what did i see? The best DCS-Film so far! Some scenes looked as they were made by Denis Villeneuve! (Blade Runner 2049) Great coloring! Great cuts! Stunning camera! The sequence beginning at 2:40 is a masterpiece! And great that you removed the music in this dogfight...refreshing style to focus on the avionic sounds and not like other movies fully pumped with music and riffs... Pushed the subscribe-Button 10xtimes...

This video managed to capture fragments of my heart's desire to fly, fight and win. I hope to offer my best self to the defense of my nation.

Back here after, what 10 months?, and that 1v1 (Hornet v F-1) is the best I've ever seen. I sent that bit to a former "real" fighter jock friend of mine. In short he thought it was "kind of exciting". From that crowd this is high praise indeed.
DCS is lacking in game play but for those with your talent it's a hullva combat flight sim trailer-maker. Well done, again.
