Nice to see Carta 1300 on another device. Having Google Play is one of the things I like about Boox, you can adapt it to do what you want. I'll put in my penny's worth and say that covering the packaging is a good thing. I have made quite a collection of Boox devices over the last few years and the boxes all ended up in a pile on the coffee table. I finally got around to recycling them and found that they all had a layer of thick foam, to protect the screen I guess. I couldn't peel the foam off, so those parts had to go in land-fill. So, seeing this box having a double layer of cardboard and no foam is something I am certainly interested in. So thank you.
The issue with c to c is it also doesn’t always work, if the unit has cheap circuit it cannot do the usb c power negotiation and so won’t work with many usb c power bricks !
@ if you oh say so, I tried it on one of their color devices not so long ago. As I note the issue only shows up with usb c to usb c cable into usb c port of power brick
@@simongordon8182 Ya know the world of USB-PD is weird as heck so I couldn't tell ya if Boox just screwed it up for a few devices or if it's a cable or power brick issue. I've had a lot of trouble getting some of my stuff to charge at full speed from hardware that works fine with other things (Surface Go, Phone, etc)
@@happydogg312 I'm only confused about the numbers counting backwards. Unless this is 6 inches while the Go 7 Color is 7 inches, that'd explain that part.
@@PPAChaoThat explanation is exactly what it is. This is Go 6 is a 6" device that's basically the followup to the Poke 5 while the Go 7 is a 7" device that is like a color version of the older 7" Page. I don't know why they didn't name it the Poke 6 though. Combining different product lines under the "Go" name is confusing.
The screen, but if you put the two devices side by side, the difference is minimal (Carta 1300 isn't a significant upgrade in screen quality or contrast).
I have Poke 3........and this is the same reader 4 years later,2Gb ram with 32GB 6" Screen 300ppi wifi Bluetooth usb type C OTG, Only added sd card slot and 5g. Battery is same to 1500mAh. So after 4 years they released "NEW MODEL" like poke 3 with 5g and sd card......boring
No huge improvements if we compare with the previous model, carta 1300 screen is very similar to carta 1200, I prefer now to focus on color e-ink about innovations and new models, black and white e-ink may not be improved so much in the future, b/w e-ink technology may have reach its limits.

Their other devices (like my Page) work with PD bricks so I don't see why this wouldn't.

I'm confused that I'm suddenly seeing Go 6 videos when the Go 7 (Color) has been out for months already.

what is the difference of this go 6 and poke 5?

Looks exactly like the Poke 5
Which ereader model has the screen that sits most flush with the surface?

At least the new Go 6 is cheaper than the Poke
@@Vliegende-Hollander poke 3 is not available for sale, it's 4 years old model.
Thanks.
How is battery life?
I just brought the kobo clara bw because you didn't have a review of go 6, it didn't even arrive yet. And now you make a review of the competition??

Sorry
@@goodereader well, I could still return/cancel it. I'm hoping that I won't want to.

I thought viwoods had a carta 1300 screen.

meebook m6 colors i think more better than boox go 6
Near the perfect device to read , but…I’ll buy this thing with at least 4G of RAM. Not with 2G. Too … toooooooooo …… slow !
I'm not sure such small readers even exist with 4 gb ram tbh
@alicedalexandrite 6" gaze mini, hyread, 3GB RAM
6.1" Hi reader pro 4GB
It's 2 GB of RAM for what basically? Reading? That's hella plenty for what it can do.
@@goodereader not bad, thank you.
@@alicedalexandrite no problem at all. If there's anything else you need, let us know -
