I loved learning about your PT journey :) That's so awesome that you said you wanted to be a PT when you were in elementary school. My bf's brother just got accepted to PT school so good luck to both of you!!
Loved it! I am a sophmore in high school and I love it. I love how passionate you are about PT school. Helping people is the best❤😁 saludos desde chile!!
We have got the same story , even I wanted to be an orthopedic surgeon but then chose PT as my career option and now I'm planning to pursue my masters from the US , greetings from India! ❤️
Hi Kristen :) , i'm very impressed at how similar our career choices and our whole career journey is! The first time I thought about studying anything related to healthcare was in freshman year of high school bc i was watching grey's anatomy and I was good at sciences/math. Then I realized that the amount of schooling and the career itself wasn't for me and wanted something in which I could create a bond with my patients etc. That's when I thought if nursing (I'm actually in my first semester in nursing school) and I feel like it's a beautiful career with many many opportunities but the whole thing with body fluids, blood and needles is not for me I think. Actually I'm considering changing to PT since as you said, there's less of that and also bc it gives me an opportunity to hopefully open my own private practice in the future which is something I'd love to do to be more independent. We'll see how it goes and what I choose. Hope I can have a better idea in the next few weeks/months
how crazy, so similar!!! i wish you the best of luck💗 there are definitely some non-beside nursing jobs that are less gory that i wish i considered more. its a lot less schooling and cheaper to become a nurse than a PT so that’s definitely something to consider as well. best of luck to you☺️ thanks for taking the time to write this comment
@@kristennicolosi hey, in back lol. I saw the video and came across NPs. Sadly that position doesn't exist where I live and neither does Cosmetic nursing :( I'd have to become a Dr (which I don't want to do, I'd rather get an esthetician license) so I'm thinking about really switching to PT.. therefore I wanted to know if you could answer some of my questions about studying pt?
I love ur videos! quick question, do you think going to community college then transferring to a university after two years for undergrad will affect ur chances of getting into pt school?
hi friend! thanks for watching! & i don't think so!! at the end of the day, your undergrad degree will have the name of the university on it that you graduate from! as long as you make good grades, have a strong GRE score, and do a lot of shadowing i think you have a great chance of being admitted :)
i would just start by emailing or calling clinics asking if they are accepting shadowers! also you could ask your advisor, pre-health advising office, or people in the pre-pt club (if you have one) for their contacts! hope this helps!
Thank you guys so much for watching! Be sure to subscribe if you enjoyed!

During undergrad how did you approach finding places to accept you to complete shadowing hours?
