I've been using these in all my 4 wheel vehicles for years. I like to set the alarms to alert me when the engine temp goes over a certain temp. It's a good idea for the trans too. Another feature I like is it tells me when I throw a code and it will allow me to clear it as well. It's important to note the gauge can only read the sensors the vehicles has so the older the vehicle, the fewer sensors it can likely read.
Wow, what a great product. I would buy just for the auto trans temps alone. Been doing heaps of sand and towiing lately. Great channel mate, keep up the good work.👍
5:50 Transmission temps around 80 is good, 90 is the danger zone and 95 you've got problems. Our pajero sport's autobox (mitsubishi challenger) is trying to kill itself. Sat at 84°C at idle after a drive and sat at 90°C when driving intown afterwards. We will be installing a transmission cooler very soon and changing the ATF which oxidised and became very dark brown (8000km after an autobox filter and fluid change). The dipstick told me something was wrong and draining some atf confirmed my suspicion.
@budget4x4life Yip, the Pajeros came factory with a transmission oil cooler. While the challengers and tritons only have a tube on the inside of the bottom radiator tank. So yeah, I'm worried about it and would rather not think about how hot it got when towing. At least the AT temp light has not come on, which comes on at 110°C. I've been told by that time the pin has already been pulled on that grenade.
This is such a good product I have one for the Jero G4. Can you share you’re manual coding for the boost? I wish I could find coding for engine load which does not come default. If you could do a video for the setup, that would be perfect
For the exhaust gas temps, are you using Cat B1.S1 to read the catalytic converter you mentioned in a previous question I asked. And if so, what temps are you averaging say at speed limit of 80kmh on flat road, then say at 100kmh up a steep hill.
Congrats for the video and the whole Chanel - Admirations! I have a question regarding the boost - can you advise what are normal boost values that you get and what are max. I bought NS Pajero 3.2 Diesel and my mechanic told me that it is probably with changed software and my car goes up to 15bar (around 22psi). So I was wondering if this is normal and 22psi would harm the engine? Thanks in advance.
I probably missed it in the footage, but does this unit display when a DPF burn is in progress? My apologies for being a numpty if you had already mentioned it...hahaha
Hey Andre and fellow South Africans, reading this comment. My website does not list South Africa as a checkout option, unfortunately. BUT, please do email me if you want something, and I can still work out for you to ship there😊💯 Baie dankie
@jamesedmondson7265 I recently got an upgraded exhaust with a sensor point right after turbo so I will plumb it in shortly and put a blank into the other sensor hole. Cheers mate

Awesome bit of kit to have mate thanks for the support😊💯
I am extremely happy with mine. One of the best investments i got for my Montero.
Won't go without it!💯😜

Thanks mate. Ours is running at 70 after the cooler so made a good difference. Something definitely wrong mate 😬

Hey matey send me a message via Facebook and I'll send you a video🙂💯
could you make a video on removing the speed alarm beeper in the pajero
Haha can't speed here in Aus so no need for me haha. Not quite sure how yet 😄
If you buy directly from Ultragauge Australia they'll pre-programmed it to suit most popular 4x4s.
You're talking about a generic one, mate, the EMS version. The MX version is programmed for each vehicle 🙂💯

Hey mate. Yes! At 80 around 60. At 100 flat 80 hill 150. But haven't done a massive hill at 100k yet only like 60. 🙂💯 That's the average numbers
@@budget4x4life Cheers, man 👍👍
Any ideas on max torque vs efficiency settings? I have a deleted 3L v6 turbo diesel 2014 sprinter.
Will need a tune for that 😃

22 sounds like it is tuned mate because that is what my car runs 🙂
@@budget4x4life Thanks for the prompt answer! I suppose 22 won't harm the engine, right?
@@yavoryankov81 no that is the max boost I would run to remain reliable 🙂
will it show EGTs ? exhaust gas temp

I have no idea unfortunately! I think you will need a obd scan that will show all the parameters to see it
Is this compatible with the new suzuki jimny jb74 bec it doesnt have a temp guage
Yes the Ultraguage EM Plus should work. Let me know if you need a hand 💯
Is it possible to turn off the button beeps?
I'm sure you can. However once everything is set, you don't have ro touch it again and no beeps 💯
@@budget4x4life how big is it? What’s the dimensions of it?

Interesting, but I'm not into technology, to confusing for me. Lol
Happy trails budd
Thanks matey 😜 I may have some good news for you...my car is at my fabricator this weekend for some intercooler work so stay tuned 💯
Your egts are not 80 lol. Clearly its reading the wrong thing or its not working
Reading temps from the CAT mate which is 30cm from turbo so close enough 😜
@@budget4x4life you need a proper gauge straight after the turbo. Most essential gauge on a diesel i put them on diesel cars all the time. At my shop
