Absolute epic story about Lewis here.
A lot of this I can relate too myself. The isolation, switching off etc aswell as the ability to identify those tell tail signs of going down a route and being able to stop yourself which is extremely difficult so it’s great to see that he’s also able to do it 💪
This VIA is an absolute gold mine capability that enables us as veterans to have a network of support that isn’t within the health system which is great as it means that it’s with other veterans which helps interaction and opening up. I’ve found talking to other “blokes” is easier than some “civvie cu*t” who’s got no clue what I’ve been through.
It’s just a shame that there isn’t anything like this out here in Germany as this would deffo be something that would help me and other veterans who chose to remain here post service
    Keep staying strong Lewis 💪
And to team VIA: Keep up the epic work ❤️

Really good video. As an ex-Veteran myself, lots to comment about.
First of all, Lewis, brave man for putting yourself out there. Talking about your experience when it seems you have a bit of anxiety about putting yourself out there. I think that's the squaddie mentality. Being scared but still doing it anyway.
Secondly, reaching out. We men don't talk enough and Veterans in particular about how we feel.
Speaking for myself, sense of purpose is something I miss/missed post service. And its clear that you have found things to keep you busz, to feel useful.
Thirdly, it's nice to know there are support agencies out there to help people who need it. Not just help, but enabling people to do something good, which is the squaddie mentality through and through. What can I do not just for.mysrlf but to be useful for others.
And finally, I live in Italy. The acronym of via is an Italian road for road or street. And it seems that the road you are on is on a much better place with Veterans In Action.
    Have subscribed, will share.

Well Done and absolute Respect to you Lewis, very brave to do this interview not for self reasons but to help fellow suffering Veterans, I'm a Sapper veteran but bloody proud of you mate! in contact with Billy, the difference with Billy and other heads of several smaller charities is he isn't doing this for self gratification and an adoring fanbase like others! he idoes this for Veterans suffering who genuinely need help, he doesn't make up stories that he's helped "nameless veteran number 1110" or applying online and paying for self gratification daft awards making himself and his organisation out to be something they are not... Best Wishes Lewis and Thank you for this... Good man, glad you have discovered VIA and Billy...
