I woke up from the earthquake alarms that day. What I didn't realize was it was serious and the alarms on my phone, computer and building started going off. Scary stuff. Thankfully everybody was okay, especially the VTubers and others that were involved
It’s supposed to. The American EAS, for example, has siren-like noises to get your attention and inform you that something serious is happening. Emergency alert systems aren’t meant to be chill and calm like some weather reporter- they are meant to warn you. On a barely related note, there’s an entire genre of horror about this and other TV-related horrors, and it’s called Analog Horror. Give it a shot!
@@mr.personalspace7831 Such an interesting and informative comment, I love it. Also you made me look for Emergency broadcast lofi and I'm pleasantly surprised.
Yeah that’s why you’ll see some of the new buildings swaying that means it has a something under the building to keep the thing from falling. That’s why it’s better to stay indoors than outside because stuff might fall on your head
4:14 O-ouch, I'm not that guy and it pains me. That was such a quick retort though, felt like she's been preparing to say that since she started her stream.
It's kinda weird that she doesn't know what to do in an earthquake. I've studied in Japanese schools as an exchange student, and for new students there's always an emergency plan education part. Also everyone had their own emergency helmet and flashlight in their dorm rooms. That was pretty rad. Never had to use it though. Funniest thing, once there was an earthquake during class - a very small one - and I (being the only non-Japanese in that class) was apparently the only one to react and start looking around; everyone else was just intently focusing on the teacher's lecture which didn't even pause for a second.
Think it's like w. those plan safety instructions: You get those every time you fly, but when it happens for real, you panick a. have no clue what to do.
You gonna make more subs dude? I love your double translations.
Straight from earthquake to roasting people's valentine. That right there is why she's Shion

I think Japanese buildings are constructed in a way that they are relatively more resistant against earthquakes

Of course they are, they have to, otherwise a lot of people would die from relatively big earthquakes
Yeah, I hear earthquakes are common there so they've already prepared proper infrastructure.
as always thankyou for the translation

The sounds of the earthquake report reminded me of GBA games like Wario. Dunno why though...
日本語字幕ありがとう
