- I give some ideas on how to utilize Boss SY-1 guitar synthesizer pedal when playing the legendary intro of the Somewhere in Time title track by Iron Maiden.

The idea of this video is not to try to find all authentic sounds used in the original song, but to use SY-1 pedal and it's different modes. I'm aware that the lead part is far from the original. It's not played with guitar synth in the original track either. I don't try to nail anything. I'm just having fun with this pedal and explore it's capabilities. Thanks for watching!
I like the pedal actually.
fantastic !
the lead part need distortion
Yes, but this was about using SY-1 only
The lead bit doesn't really work.
Jotain tosi randomia

The rhythm part seems to be quite solid. But the lead part is far far away from nailing it. Get yourself that Gallien Krueger amp somewhere plus Tube screamer.
I don't want Tube screamer. It has ugly design :/
@@SamperorTV If it is the design, use the Maxon OD-808 then. It's the same circuit and it's the more "original" tube screamer in a compact design.
@@alexni6087 Thanks but I'll stick with BOSS pedals :D
Did they definitely use a tube screamer in front of the GK250? I’ve got that amp but so far just using a GE7 in front with the level up a bit for some extra boost.
