This is an awesome idea! Goats can do very well on marginal agriculture land that won't work for other crops or cattle. People have been doing it for thousands of years! Your right on the money!
Thnx XO much Doc for the great work ur doing especially the love and care u share through ur platform blessings upon you keep winning Doc I learn a lot whenever I go through ur platform
The rocks can be used to make boundary walls and terraces. You can use a technique called 'dry stone walling'. Obviously the stone is free but it is very hard work and you will improve with practice. There should be many videos about terracing and dry stone walling.
Great video and thanks for the valuable information. Would it be possible to send the Calliandra Seeds to South Africa? I dont think we have this tree over here! 🙏🙏🙏
Amazing! I would say you are future astute. You real know what the future entails and hence your ability to make such radical choices/decisions. I would have also bought that land for the very same purpose if I ware the one. Goats enjoy it grazing from the hills. I can't wait to see the end results (400 goats target). Bravo!
« People think you’re crazy till you make it 🙌🏾 » Hello bro I’m 20years old from Cameroon 🇨🇲 I managed to save up $15k but my previous business isn’t paying anymore and I’ve always been a big fan of poultry farming.I’m going to give a try although all odds are against me and my family want me to travel out which I don’t want Which me luck 🙏 I’ll start my training next month
@@FarmUpfrom Cameroon as well Dr. I started with 40 broilers, lost one and giving them out already. Just the running cost that seemed too high and seriously affecting the selling price. Thanks for your videos Sir
You clearly have a good head on your shoulders. Saving any amount of money at the age of 20 is a feat. Saving $15k is even more exceptional. Give it a shot and I'm sure with your drive and discipline you will go far.
Great work, and great foresight! Please don't sell all the stones because you will need to make some terraces later on after the goats have built you more soil.
Check their selenium levels, or just have one animal checked. If it is low, then all the animals are low. They will die suddenly one by one over a long period of time. If low, they just need an occasional supplement. Good luck!
Lovely. Can you show us how u manage snake problems on the farm. Literally my worst fear about farm life. Lovely hill (was told snakes love hills most coz of less human activity). I doubt things like planting tobacco or petrol work.
Why sell the stones Dr Daniel? The stones will be very valuable building materials. You'll sameday want to build stone houses to welcome visitors. DON'T SELL ANY OF IT OR YOU'LL REGRET IT IN THE FUTURE MY BROTHER
Have your guys pack the stones in rows on contour to slow rainwater runoff, and plant some trees. You know covered hills are important for rainwater capture.
Why are you cutting weeds and bushes? Goats eat anything. With goats the hill will be bare in a few years if you take away bushes. Then soil Erosion will set in.😮

Wow !!!
It's great 🎉
I suggest you can enhance your land rocky as it is by planting good grass like symenchia grass
What a view you have there.
Can you please do a video on the Solar system and how you powering the farm as a whole? Thank you.
Good fences make governed growths easier to manage
Great vid 🎉🎉🎉🎉

I think getting rid of all of them is impossible
Daktari, aren't goats browsers as opposed to grazers and would have fed on the weeds?
Doctor you inspire me alot please i officially invite you to aipi mixed farm any time come eat apples
❤❤❤
Show us some pics of the Caliandra
Visions are best developed in the absence of opposition
The goats are working the land making it better to grow crops
More rocks makes more 🌧️ diversion material
Well done Dr Daniel.how can I be part of your academy?
Greetings Dr
We had 60 goats and now left 10 goats. They went on dying slowly. What went wrong.
Check their selenium levels, or just have one animal checked. If it is low, then all the animals are low. They will die suddenly one by one over a long period of time. If low, they just need an occasional supplement. Good luck!
Goats like weeds and they have leaders.
True. But need to create light for grass too to grow. This particular weed they don't eat
@@FarmUp what weed goat no eat. . . Is it a stone viper
fence with chainlink so you dont have to worry about the animals walking about

I haven't met snakes here honestly
@FarmUp That's great though how about the pythons that ate ur goat and ducks on the other farm. How do u handle that issue?
Who is editing your videos ???
An editor
Why did you choose high ground for the Goats?
They love it

HI Daniel?Come to Kenya and get Pure Dorper breed and galla/boer breed.
Big up brother, can I get where to rent for grazing free range
Sure you can if you look hard enough
How many years bro it’s not easy ????
bonjour mon ami
Erosion happens and folks get hungry
Don't remove them they prevent flooding
Flooding?
Don't wear yourselves out moving rocks nice rocks
Mr please do you sell sheep i want 2 to start farming am in mpigi district
No I don't.
I thought goats need more shrubs than grass!!
True. But particular shrubs
The title is misleading
Have your guys pack the stones in rows on contour to slow rainwater runoff, and plant some trees. You know covered hills are important for rainwater capture.

That's awesome. I'll do that
You may not slash and burn..i think goats eat anything i think
Some of the shrubs there, they don't like
Purer breads have more problems

No. I'll just control so I have what they want.
