    One of the best explanations of front and rear angle setups along with the bushings used. I’m just starting the pumping as my main mode of transport after over 40 yrs of push riding and racing. Just too hard on my knees these days but I still love the feel of the ride. Please do more videos on this awesome riding technique. Thanks rob

    Thanks for the review. All of the shops say you should use RKPs but I prefer TKPs. Also just happen to have some Bennetts and maybe a Tracker 139 on the back.

      Thanks Robert. I tried an RKP Paris 150 on the front as an experiment, but it wasn't as easy to pump as the Bennett, so it's still as I had it in the video and I love it!

    We're you getting higher top pumping speeds with the wedged rear truck than on the other rear mounting position?

    • @DaveNZ3339
      @DaveNZ3339  13 дней назад +1

      Yes I've found that wedging to get zero turn from the back truck is best for pumping (for me)
      I was also getting a bit of wheel bite in the forward position

    • @charliesimon4772
      @charliesimon4772 12 дней назад

      @DaveNZ3339 thanks for reply 👍 mine came with 40 degree bear truck on the inside/shorter wheelbase mounting, which is fitted backwards to achieve zero. I was told by the shop that using the outside/longer wb mounting would be easier to pump but slower high speed. Suppose I'll just try it and see

    How's your Diy board and brakets set up compair to your new Pantheon board and trucks?

  • @bushinforthepushin
    @bushinforthepushin Год назад +2

    Nice quick overview. What's the benefit of a board like this over a bracket mount like the wiggler? I've been looking at the Zenit AZ, too, but feel like there's something I'm missing.

    • @DaveNZ3339
      @DaveNZ3339  Год назад +4

      I think the main benefit is that the Supersonic is good for both pushing AND pumping. Even with brackets on the Wiggler, the Supersonic is lower, so it's better for pushing. I would imagine that this weekend the riders at Ultraskate will be taking advantage of both methods.
      It's also much lighter than the Wiggler. However, I went for a ride on the Wiggler this morning and it just pumps so effortlessly. Honestly, it's like cheating

  • @skakenbake7589
    @skakenbake7589 Год назад +2

    Im gunna have to try that bennet! Why not do the 0° option with a rkp truck?

    • @DaveNZ3339
      @DaveNZ3339  Год назад +3

      Basically I like the skinny Paris 129s. I have only found other RKP options in a Randall at 125mm, but the Paris 129 Streets are cheap, and to me the rear truck isn't as crucial to pumping as long as I can wedge it to 0deg. I have cut down Paris 150s to 125 to use as a front truck, and I am about to try a modded a Paris 150 RKP on this board next.
      I originally bought a Beernett modded truck, which I currently have on my Wiggler, and it's amazing. I have since modded three more Bennetts on my own and I am sold. I am only going to try the modded Paris for science, because I am biased and already don't think it will pump as well as the Bennetts. Who knows?

    Can you tell me where did you purchase the red Boa 90mm wheels? I have been looking online, but I couldn't find it anywhere.

    • @DaveNZ3339
      @DaveNZ3339  Год назад +1

      Ah yes, you will not find them anywhere!
      I dyed them myself using a set of white Boas and two bottles of RIT Liquid Synthetic Dye in RACING RED. It was pretty easy to do, and the color hasn't faded or worn off at all in 4 months

      @@DaveNZ3339 Thank you for the information. Seems like White Boa 90mm Hatchling is out of stock at the moment. Do you think White Boa 100mm Constrictor could fit with Supersonic without getting wheel bite?

  • @zoomhardin

    Would you recommend this board as a city cruiser (more pushing than pumping)?

    • @DaveNZ3339
      @DaveNZ3339  5 месяцев назад +1

      Not necessarily. It pumps really well, but I love it as a city commuter because it's great for pushing too. I've commuted on the Wiggler, but it really wants a flat, open road.
      Long story short, the Supersonic is an excellent city cruiser

    Aloha, is that a Paris Street TKP on the last setup with the extra wedge. And how did you mount it, normal or reverse? BG

    • @DaveNZ3339
      @DaveNZ3339  Год назад

      I think it's normal. In this photo, the middle TKP is mounted reverse and the top/bottom are mounted normal with wedging:

    Aloha, is that the 8ply XL platform? How about the space for the feets? Maybe you can help with the measurements? Also got a wiggler. Which deck better performance for pumping? Nice Review. BG

    • @DaveNZ3339
      @DaveNZ3339  Год назад +4

      Hey BG, this is the 7-ply regular version. Even though it's shorter than the Wiggler, I still don't use the entire flat area, probably about 3/4 of it.
      I think the Wiggler is still easier to pump faster, but the Supersonic is lighter and better for pushing. When I am on a long bike path with lots of room, I prefer the Wiggler. If I am on city streets or if there are hills and different terrain where there will be a combination of pushing and pumping, the Supersonic is the better weapon.

      @@honolulujuicer7573 I have an adjustable Beernett on the Wiggler, which is set to its narrowest at 137mm which seems to work better with the Dad Bods wheels. I haven't tried the Beernett on the Supersonic
