They shot themselves in the foot handling things the way they did, mainly on what PR respects. They should have seen this coming from half the planet away... it baffles me they still decided to go through with this, this soon, this way. The similarities, the time gap between leaving the company and publishing all of this, the finance reports, everything, yet they thought this was the best time to do this. Simply baffling, and saddly, they are reaping what they sown.
The halo + school youth setting is the identity of BA, although I'm not saying BA has sole ownership of that concept but considering they are ex-devs they should think about how to approach that theme it in a different way (not just replace guns with swords). I don't mind the art since its Mx2j and Doremi style but hope it kinda gets changed/personalized in some other way, if not then that is still fine. Hopefully they make a truly original IP in their next project.
Nah, they just failed to get invest. some character designs were all they had, no game design, no story (their introduction is just BA copy) they don't have even 1 programmer, all of them are defector illustraitor/writter from BA
Wouldn't be surprised if that was the reason why they were so active retweeting all kind of fanarts including the spicy ones, they were desperate to show that their "game" was in demand to potential programmers or investors but nothing happened
I read that no engineers went to Dynamis One (correct me if I'm wrong though) when they left BA team and if you are an investor and the target community (JP) of the product you want to invest to is angry and will highly likely boycott the product after release, and you as an investor would probably get hit by the community hate, would you invest? Mismanagement of Dynamis One with all of the controversies led to them being a risk in the eyes of potential investors
@@mariefmsr sry I don't know better word to explain so used harsh one. they were planning kv and try to make more quit with them while still getting paid from nexon, and many intel from nexon says that they were making a clique opposing CEO saying they're not paid enough-while they were paid more than CEO in secret by taking most bonus themselves (they have authority/role to distribute bonus to their team) Bonus part don't have strong bias I think, but others (including seduction and paid more) are checked by many.
It was only a matter of time, all the things that were said about them and the fact that they never tried to clarify the truth behind this project buried them The only thing that saddens me is Doremi since she's the only one who seems to still like Blue Archive
Now they have time to actually think of an original IP, a new concept, not just some "BA but with--" (Project KV: BA but with swords) Fans supported them when they left so they can have more creative freedom and pursue new projects different from BA, not just for them to make a BA clone in the end which is like a backstab for BA fans. Still looking forward to their next project, hopefully distancing themselves from BA
hope they didn't lose much as they spent short time, and make new, unique game to success. they did backstab their previous co-worker and fandom. but they were also devs we loved from BA
I think they were worried about being sued by Nexon. Don't know how South Korean law works, but it seems more company than employee friendly. If anything, they've proved to potential investors/publishers that they can draw interest quite quickly. May have been a great PR move
i don't want to sound insensitive but i am quite glad that project KV got canceled. Even without a game to look forward to we found out that: a. great ex-blue archive devs formed a game studio b. they plan on releasing more games in the future usually in game development a game getting cancelled doesn't mean all progress is lost. Assets, mechanics, code can all be reused for another game, hopefully one that is not just "reverse blue archive"
Well hopefully their angel investor gave them enough money to survive cause I don't think that other investors would like to take the risk of being hit in the crossfire due to Dynamis One's controversy and disastrous PR management.
It's easy to just blame Nexon, but there's absolutely zero evidence they could even support a life service game lmao. They showed a few nice pieces of art and suddenly everyone is convinced they can make a BA tier product. They showed no gameplay, no concept of what anything even was. This entire situation is genuinely perfect evidence of how people get swindled in to investing in to vaporware, only you guys aren't losing anything this time.
They simply handled this wrong. They tried to release this game without any preparation and rushed things up. They don't even have beta test or gameplay showcase. Shortly, they are not ready. "Copy pasting" idea might be controversial, but it can work. Azur Lane is the prime example for this. But Yostar and Manjuu (Azur Lane's publisher and dev) were prepared and cooked their game really well. The result, Azur Lane is now popular even in Japan despite on how it stole Kantai Collection idea, which was a huge Japanese IP.
Honestly, I still would like hear what you wanted to say about BA ,and the situation was really confusing specially as global players so any insight or information would be really interesting. Anyway, thanks for the news.
Well, they just don't prepare enough and need the big Corporation to invest, I mean Blue Archive first launch not much too good with big rival like Hoyoverse, Ark knight, FGO, etc. But with good story and good character+ music it stand on it's own now
Yesterday, around 17:00 GMT+7 they talk about their cancelation of their game due to some reasons, and said they would removed all the things related. But then i found a post around 12:00 GMT+7 about they get sued by Nexon because a lot of things kinda too much similar with their game Blue Archive. In the end, X popular hashtag filled with 'PKV Cancelation' and 'Nexon'. And then in the night, the staff from PKV talk about it in his X account that they're sorry about things happened and promised to make the better one than before, so they still gonna make a game again entirely different. No more two cakes at the same time. (CMIIW)
All the lawsuit posts and """plagueism""" doc (the one that didn't know the definition of plagueism is, think Nexon owns the rights to concepts like weapons and school girls) are basically all a load of crap, even in the screenshot used as proof of the supposed lawsuit showed there was no lawsuit. Nexon cuckolds do nothing but lie.
They should've made an entirely original IP in the first place, that is why they received support from the community even after leaving. The community wanted to see what they make with all the freedom they have but then they just release what seems to be a BA clone. What they did is like if Togashi handed over HxH (without finishing it) to his assistant to finish themselves then 6 months later announces he will publish HxH 2.
@@YoshimiMilk Maybe there is some internal problem that we don't know much about them leaving BA and just entirely make their own "BA" (even though obviously they can't) I just can't wrap my head around it that the people in PKV saw the concept & design and just "Yeah, it'll do. Publish the PV."
@@YoshimiMilk Nexon shouldn't have messed with the setting the writer created and force it to stagnate, and the trash excuse for that Mihoyo-tier "community" should be gatekept from everything going forward and only allowed Nexon slop. Fuckin' newsflash: BA wasn't the first to do anything that was in KV; not schools, school girls, weapons, halos, or even girls with weapons and halos, absolutely nothing.
@@u_tomo They for sure got ahead of themselves and probably some mismanagement too. Got too excited or maybe desperate for some investors we won't know for sure since I doubt Dynamis One would address anything more about PKV in the future.

noise marketing without actual hit to work with it I guess??
I didnt even know what Project KV even WAS until now
Blue Archive with Swords or Red Archive if you prefer
Same
Hope they can recover and rebrand this game later under new title, maybe some tweaks here and there, especially the halo maybe need to be removed.
