AFI is still a great band...they have been exploring new sounds and should be lauded for the exemplary work they create. While I agree that they were definitely more punk in the early days and gained the listeners attention with their energy more so than anything, AFI is becoming a better songwriting band. But to each his own. This band is great regardless.
mAN, I really don't dig their newer stuff, but back in the day they KICKED ASS and this is one of the best Misfits covers I've ever heard they really do it justice and pull it off well, way better then MCR did with Astro Zombies.... and they sound GREAT live.
I hate it when ppl complain afi should go back. They are artistically evolving, while it doesnt sound like their old stuff you can just stop listening. If u want to hear their old stuff listen to their old stuff jesus.
Was this at Club Laga in Pittsburgh? It was this same tour. I was at that show. I still say they put on one of the performances that night, that I've ever saw. It looked and sounded exactly like this.
So good. All Hollows is quite possibly the best E.P/anything ever recorded. For me, it's their magnum opus. A lesser band(hint:current afi) would split those songs into singles to carry 4 shitty albums.
Man it's BS, I saw AFI on Halloween night in 2013 in Portland Oregon, the audience chanted "Halloween Halloween Halloween!", but AFI wouldn't come on for an encore and do their cover of Halloween by the Misfits. It was a sad way to end the evening

cleveland had a sick music scene around then. early 90s - mid 2000s.
