    I ❤️ New Volvo VNL 740 as well as Old Scania T143H. That’s my American 🇺🇸 trucking and greetings from Angola 🇦🇴.

    I find it rather funny that an American Volvo can be used over in Belgium and the Netherlands and possibly other European countries, but for some reason, we can’t get a European Volvo or any other European cab over to be used legally over here in North America, lol! That’s just not right. I would love to have a European truck over here in Canada and use it.

      It's practically impossible in most European countries too. Very very very few of those on the roads. And even then it can only be used to pull a tank trailers because of lenght restrictions. In Finland lenght would not be a problem in many cases, but American trucks can't pull our 167000 lbs weights.

      Isn’t there a company in Quebec that has some FH Volvos? Think they are black with yellow stripe, why would a euro truck be illegal anyway? Think there’s still some Scanias around New York and New Jersey area from when Scania did actually import them in the 90’s.

      @@shortwalk8551 European and American regulations for emissions, lights and what not are just enough different that without some exemption or heavy modification they don't meet the regulations on the other side of the pond.

      @@jaakkoiswatching6437 why can’t American trucks haul 85 tons. There are no European trucks hauling oversized loads in America.

      I would love to have a Volvo, Daf or MAN cab over here in the northeast of North America. To haul over length and oversized loads. Every inch counts. I can get a cab over with a loader crane on it and get a special commercial plate for it but as soon as you put a for hire commercial plate on it to pull freight, you can’t. And the MAN engine is used in every Liebherr Crane in the US and Canada so emissions should not be a issue. And all the new E-trucks they are selling in the US and Canada are cabovers made by Iveco, so go figure.

    Imagine what the cabsize could be if it was a cabover. Finally some decent room to live in instead of just a bed.

    Nice to see a USA Volvo in the NL with even the USA tractor and trailer spring brake system instead of one hand valve system which is commonly used in Europe. I would love to see European Trucks over in the USA. I drive newer Freightliners and Kenworths in the USA. Honestly the comfort level is way below European trucks. Especially the noise level in the cab and " bounciness" is significant more . If you think I'm biased .... please check out a random trucking company whenever you would visit Europe. But I have to say, they definitely have the looks and yay for not being governed at 55 mph as in most European countries. Love the unsynchronized transmissions as well with the old skool double clutching...

    Mpg or L/100km?

    • @Nikowalker007
      @Nikowalker007 2 года назад

      28.5L per 100km at 100km/hr with 20 tons of load in a trailer, you can probably get below 25 if you keep under 85km/h , the overall fuel consumption depends a lot on the trailer weight and how much you drive in a city traffic or in a mountains with long steep grades
