An interesting insight in to the mainline model. I have the bachmann one, which is a retool f the mainline one. I just did a review on it at Dean Park last month. I found your look at the 45 very helpful. Dave
Thank you! I watched with keen interest and if I ever get round (or rather have the space) to model some NCB BR exchange sidings a Bachmann model would be on my hit list, as would a Class 46 (which I believe one is residing in Dean Park TMD?) However this loco is in for a bit of work I didn't want to use a Bachmann model; just yet anyway- she may become a prototype. I did do a follow up video on my plans for her if its of any interest? Thank you very much! Cheers OR
Hi Unfortunately she’s not together (being repainted. There’s a fair bit of footage of them on RUclips if that helps! Actually thinking about it the chassis runs in my review of the rolling road! Cheers Oliver
Just found your channel, interesting about the class 45s, I have 3 of these 2x mainline and 1 Bachmann D193 in br green. The mainline ones have the pancake(ringfield)) motor, both run ok, the bachmann one has the big centre motor with two drive shafts to the bogies, the motor packed in about a year ago, unable to get a replacement due to age, any ideas? Ian h.
Hi Yeah, I bought her about a week ago, like to think she's been called out of retirement (she seemed hardly used) for use on my (soon to be) layout. Do you know if Replica Railways did any other models with them between the Mainline and Bachmann ranges? Thanks, I will OR
Can't beat a good Lima or mainline diesel, my Lima class 27 is great, runs ever so quietly and was only £20. I've added various details. I'm looking at a hornby hymek but I'm bit sure if they're even good enough to improve.
They were good models back in the day and even now are good cheaper alternative , I picked up the Green version at a swapmeet recently for about 23 quid and for a model of it's age , it runs pretty well. The only thing mainline got wrong was the buffer beam by having it on the body and not on the bogies as per the prototype, I know many have done the conversion but I,m happy to leave it as it is .
It certainly is, sounds like a bargain my friend! I agree, though there is kits online that can be bought Mine is undergoing some changes right now so a follow up video will follow soon Thanks Oliver
Hi mate These are nice and all that I feel you should review old stuff as it help someone to buy one Or someone new to the hobby and on a budget for spending Keep safe ARP
Heya That's an idea! I'll review them in this section, a little less formal and still have the modelling ideas too, with what they are going for on eBay Thanks very much Olly
Nice model shame they made such a pigs ear of the windows and nose end proportions. I have modified my pair with a one millimetre strip of plasticard and some milliput.

It nice to see someone who still got one. I still got my Replica Railways Class 45. Keep up with the old look round loco.

@@heaptoncollierymodelrailwa6011 replica did loads of other stuff, panniers, loads of coaches and some other diesels I think.
I have this train but I don't know how to fix it :(
