I love how sporadic this sounds, it really fits the situation that Batman is in. His love has just been killed, he himself is on the brink of death and to top it all off he has to fight clayface whilst Joker is taunting him. Perfect piece to end a perfect game.
Arkham City is one of the most emotion-invoking games I have ever played. Joker made me laugh "Pay your Respects" made me cry Riddler pissed me off The fight with Ra's thrilled me The fight with Freeze made me Nervous The Mad Hatter's trick shocked me Hush's hideout creeped me out Protocol 10 made me anxious The final fight satisfied me The ending made me feel numb
"You're making me late for my spa treatment. I mean, it's not like you've gotta a girl to save anymore ahahahaha! Oohh, I'm sorry. Too soon? Would a change of scenery help ease the pain?" Mark Hamill just really embodies Joker's gleeful villainy to a T, so glad he's back for Arkham Knight, even if it is a cameo. Though, with years past, I've come to regret saying this.
Batman: You weren't even supposed to be in here Karlo. Why sign up with Joker? Clayface: Easy. The role of a LIFETIME. Batman: One last chance. Joker: Oh lighten up Bats. The final act's just starting and it's a doozy.
Arkham city isn't the best batman game. its a shambles. Best to play and probably best presented. But the story is ALL over the place. No causality from the player and the dissonance is massive.
Richard Hitchcock Batman Arkham City is 100% the best Batman game! What are you talking about!? The only thing that could compare to it is Batman Arkham Asylum
@@BK-sh2pn I just don't feel any connection to it. The story is rubbish... it's so bloated and all over the place it's unreal. Asylum is the best for me. If Knight didn't have those ridiculous TANK shit in it then that would be head and shoulders above city
Richard Hitchcock The story is not rubbish! It’s not all over the place either. The story is original and has some amazing scenes. Awesome boss fights and gameplay as well, and I thought it was fun and badass as hell. Arkham Knight has a shit story though
If you remember, Talia was wielding a sword when she came to rescue Batman, which 'Joker' took. That was the sword that she took back from 'Joker' and used to 'kill' him. Batman then pulled that sword out of Clayface and used it the rest of the battle. Ra's had his own sword during the time period that Talia and Joker were out of sight, which he used to kill himself.
Imo i think it was a genius choice not to have joker or another big villain as the final boss, but a more lesser known but EXTREMELY powerful and heavy hitter villain. Its a great spin on the final showdown where its with the archnemesis. Instead its with a villain that wasn't on batman's radar but is a threat so dangerous it could end his journey
Who else felt like a total badass when you were flying around the the room, slicing up all those clay men with Ra's's sword. That was the highlight of the game for me.
WiiManElite he knows it’s in the game he means why can’t we buy it with the Arkham City Soundtrack. To get this song this RUclipsr probably played through the entire game with no sfx and recorded every piece of music
It's funny, because the Big Clayface battle before, when you have the sword, if you land nothing but Critical Hits in one combo you can keep the combo going. I got up to at least 200+ hits before I messed up.
0:00 ( best part 0:08 ) The first part of the intro is unsettling, althought the percussion parts remind me of TRANSFORMERS, and BORDERLANDS, and even that fanmade DRY BOWSER theme by YoshiGreenHero, as well as TRANSFORMERS WAR FOR CYBERTRON!
I think that the twist that is associated with this boss is the BEST twist in the intire francise. Too bad that Clayface himself is a non-character. I would still like too play a game with him as the main antagonist. Of course, it's probely not a good idea to advertise that Clayface is in it since that would spoil the twist, because of the fact he is a shapeshifter.
yea he probally did do a last ditch effort, to finish his "role" and create a copy of himself, but as for clayface, he's either cured or dead, giving us room for matt haggen
SPOILERS FOR A DECADE-OLD GAME!!!! it's really such a shame that this game had the balls to kill Joker only to have him basically be the antagonist in a roundabout way in Knight fuckin AGAIN.
there have been little signs of it, like the fact there were alot of references to the animated series, which could mean the next game will have a dagget riddler and matt haggen will be clayface, but karlo probally is cured or dead, as talia said the lazarus pit restores the living and cures illnesses. so it isn't some you've been dead for 90 years and can be revived thing
Origins: some of the best boss fights Asylum: best start to the series (idk what to put for asylum) City: best story Knight: because gameplay and upgrade system Also knight: PYG
@RogueObserver "Your making me late for my spa treatment! I mean, it's not like you have a girl to save anymore! Oh, I'm sorry, too soon? Would a change of scenery help ease the pain?"
@Vikumax I do have to say. I solved the Clayface riddle JUST BEFORE THE FIGHT! So when the joker flashback thing started I was starting to think then... BAM! CLAYFACE!!! This truly deserves another game... 2 if they can!
I was 7 when I played this game and me and my step bro were always playing this and then when we got to the clayface part , we laughed because he kinda looked like feces.
Sources? I hope that you're not saying "there will be this" without really knowing. There hasn't been any official announces yet about the next game. But I see your point. After falling in the lazarus pit, maybe Basil has been cured and is human again. Or maybe the electrical overload killed him. It is also possible that he was restored at full power, but not cured. On another note, Matt Hagen might not even exist in the Arkham-verse. I has yet to be confirmed by Rocksteady. So, we don't know.
i know he just wants a believable storyline and not just, oh i survived magically, but yea he probally is but i know one thing clayface is either cured or dead
I actually found it a little frustrating. The flow of battle that you've spent the whole game mastering just got upset, the enemies are different, they attack a LOT faster than normal goons, and Clayface's vomit balls are annoying hard to dodge. Granted, it wasn't game-breakingly difficult, but I've never finished that fight with anything more than a sliver of health left. Oh, and it's actually Talia's sword :P
I love how sporadic this sounds, it really fits the situation that Batman is in. His love has just been killed, he himself is on the brink of death and to top it all off he has to fight clayface whilst Joker is taunting him. Perfect piece to end a perfect game.

it helps that it has the same voices (2 of them, but still)
@Mr Shadow really? I didn't notice
“THE ROLE OF A LIFETIME”-Clayface.
I find it ironic that in the two best Batman games, clayface was the first boss in Lego Batman, and he was the last boss in Arkham city.
