This is all my opinion of course. Either way, I love both. Just think with a few small changes, city's could be the best in the series
Every Arkham game (except Origins, which had a different composer) always had that one track which took your breath away. Asylum had "Stealthy Bat", a milestone of Arundel's and Fish's which became as iconic of the first game as it became the template for the rest. City had the main theme, which underscored the panic and despair during Protocol 10 as it played during the cold slaughter of the inmates while Batman had to decide if he was going to chase after his love or save the ones being killed. And Knight had "Inner Demon"; which told us that it was now time to burst out into tears as we were being told that this was the end, both of Batman's existence in the Arkham universe (through self-sacrifice on several occasions) as well as the fact that it was the final game. One final note I will make is how I marvel at the fact that Arundel made sure to have the signature theme from Arkham Asylum in "Stealthy Bat" incorporated in these following two tracks, giving the whole series a sense of continuation but in different forms. Masterfully done.
My favorite track of them all has to be Invasion from Arkham Knight, a celebration of all the previous themes for the last battle of the series. I wish they used it in the main menu.

I'm not good at fighting the henchmen cos I can't counter in time half the game, but by god, I *loved* the stealthy parts. This a is the soundtrack that gives us memories of the Arkhamverse because of its passing.
This is seriously my favorite one on the soundtrack
'BABOOM! Another one bites the dust.'
Dude I read the SSKTLJ playtest leaks and I’m telling you now in the section where Batman hunts you predator mode style but you’re from the thugs perspective if I play that and I hear this theme start up I’m crying because I already know I’ll be cooked
…I wish
Ok who remembers watching your big brother playing this in his Xbox 360 while your at the age of 3 to 4 years old and seeing him play the scarecrow part and then you get scared of it.Just me ok
Joker wants him found spread out!
He could be anywhere
Then keep your eyes open, now move!
Gameplay wise
Arkham City wins
Story/Aesthetic/Presentation wise
Arkham Asylum blows the other games out of the water
Probably the most nostalgic song in the game
AMAZING.
I think about this soundtrack a lot, so awesome
YOU HEARD THE BOSS
The more you take out, the more intense the music gets.
My favorite reminds me of the old times playing Batman Arkham asylum
“You Heard The Boss!”
"Joker was right! I found someone!"
hearing 4:08 while you stealthfully kick some ass is the best
Jonkler must have figured out how I was following him. Officer Balls' trail ends here.
love how it sounds like a big whoosh like his cape is dragging around
