Amen! Very honest about hunting in general. Hunts like a normal person would, and hunts for the right reason. To eat. Ow all hunters like to kill trophies and I'm not saying that is a bad thing, but when I gets to a point that you just trophy hunt then you have forgotten what hunting is about. You should only kill animals that you need to est.

I live in UP of MI. Started hunting here in 1978. Today there are lots of deer, less hunters. Back in 78 to see 10 deer in a 2 week period was cool. Now, it's common to see 10 deer in a full day.
Catman I first learned about you on the THP public land challenge a few years back and I got to say you're becoming my favorite channel.
A good friend who will hook you up with a nice spot to sit and wait for some action. Can’t beat that! Good sportsman you are!!
It is really amazing how different things are in different parts of the country each year. We have no acorns right here close in SE Louisiana. The drought has just hammered us. They are eating corn and browse this year. Lots of people feed corn, so they have plenty.

Oaks were like that here in VA last year. They are poor this year but ironically I think it's harder to hunt on tons of feed than almost none. Fun to try and figure out. Your deer numbers have got to be just insane.

I have a fixed stand in my woods, not too far from where you are. My woods have a bumper crop of acorns, beech and pecans too. The deer seem to favor the same few oak trees in the woods though.

With all these acorns this year hopefully the rut will make up for the lack of deer movement so far. Can already see it in the squirrels, it’s like they’re hopped up on meth the way they’re chasing each other.

Is it more comfortable with your bridge leg all the way out ? I’m new at saddle hunting and my first sit was during velvet and after a couple of hours my back started hurting. Not sure if it’s from hip pinch or just the back of saddle pressing on my lower back. I’ve had several low back surgeries.
