Thanks for the video, Can you please do a video on time step size calculation. What exactly we need to do if the calculated time step size is very less , like in the order of e-05
Thanks for your feedback. Sure, but if you learnt this session, you can do it easily. We have selected water as the liquid material for the cooling channels. You need to just select air instead of water and repeat the simulation. If you come up with any questions, please do not hesitate to ask.
Sir can you explain the different E-chemistry models in MSMD as of when we should use which module , also how would you do the similar simulation for a complete battery pack with multiple modules (30modules i.e 300 cells ) and bus bars ? Thank you
Great information. After defining short circuit when I am initializing solution 31min 30sec. I am getting these two warning Warning: Electric conductivity of uds0 in zone cell_zone is equal to or smaller than 1.0. Ignore this message if that is what you want. Otherwise, fix it in the material panel. Warning: Electric conductivity of uds1 in zone cell_zone is equal to or smaller than 1.0. Ignore this message if that is what you want. Otherwise, fix it in the material panel. How to deal with these. And If I want to select any other mesh please upload tutorial about different type of mesh and is it necessary to make mesh converge? How to select best mesh.
Dear Mahesh, thanks for your comment. Regarding the two error messages, you should check the values of uds0 and uds1 in the material panel for the active material. They should be greater than 1 (around 1e5, and 1e6). We can help you with different models, you can simply send us an email if you have a specific geometry. Email: bfcs@mostoufiholding.de
Hi, you can easily add a material as "air" or any other coolant, and assign this material to the cooling channels via "Cell Zone Conditions". You may need to create a mixture-template as well based on your case.
Hi Keivan! I understood from your tutorial that for comparison the performance with and without battery, I have to run the simulation without cooling using same set up such as short circuit, resistance. However, can you please tell me how/where will get all the values of temp or Phi+ for different time (for example in your case, you have showed in a graph in the last section of tutorial for 10 sec). Thanks a lot 😊
Hi, as you have seen, in the report plots we checked the three options of "report file, report plot, and print to console". So, you can access the text file of the Phi+ values for each time at: dp0 > FFF > Fluent
@@wajihatasnim7995 Thanks. There will be plenty of interesting videos in Ansys, MATLAB, and also OpenFoam for the simulation of battery and Fuel Cell. So, hope you enjoy!
veryhelp full . i did my b tec minor project on same topic but in 2022 R 2 version I am not getting msmd battery module in models tab . It gives only battery model
Hello. I am doing the cooling work with the 5-pack busbar in the steps in your video, but IDA returns error code: -14Voltage=-193618.288897 current=2092656.357151 power=-405176543119.941710 I am getting this error.
Error resolved. Actually i am learning basics of ansys regarding battery application. I am considering same parameters as you suggested. Can you please tell me how to carry out grid independence for this type of structure? There are two type of mesh so which should we consider? And 2nd question is how to import data to excel from this chart?
Hi, first, for grid study you can define 2 or 3 grid size by decreasing the element size of the mesh setup. Second, you can use the unstructured or structured mesh, there is not much difference between the two mentioned as the geometry is simple. Third, you can find the text report file in FFF folder and import it to excel.
Thankyou. Changing grid size manually worked. 1) But i am unable to find grid indepedency by parameter set. How it will work for this type of geometry. And i have one more question. I have read that increasing value of C rise effect temperature rise. 2) When i am changing value of C in this model, still getting same result. Why this is happening. How can i show effect of C change 3) when we draw contour diagram. It shows maximum temperature at short around 346K whereas graph shows 305.this 305 is cell wall temperature? If yes how can i show it in contour? Your videos are really helpful.
Sir great work, could you please do a tutorial on how to create geometry for fuel cell in 3d or if you know any material on how to create geometry for fuel cell let me know Thank you
Thankyou Kavin. Greetings from India.
Hello, you are welcome friend. Hope you enjoy. (Keivan Mostoufi, Germany)
Great video! Your explanations are so clear and easy to follow. Thank you for creating such helpful educational content!
