Cheers mate for the info. Had mine for 3 weeks and this feature was doing my head in 😅. It gives you a good fright when it jumps on and Its silly that Toyota doesn't give you an option to turn it off permanently. Other than that, it's an epic car all around.
Thank you for sharing, very informativ before i pickup my new LC300 next week? Just wandering if you can you live with the LDA if the settings are at its minimum?
The switch is usually there for if you have a child in the front seat, most cars have sensors in the seat now where they detect a light load and turn the airbag off. It might be worth checking the user manual. It could be that they are switched off when you go into 4wd low range.

Yes great cars, and I am not a fan of the feature either! However it seems to be becoming the norm as it is a Euro NCap requirement.

Yes of course, and some people love the feature, unfortunately most cars have it now, so its a feature we all need to get used to.
How to turn off airbag ? for offroading, in the old model theres a switch to deactivate

I was told by the Toyota dealer that doing that over three ignition cycles would keep the lane departure function off untill it is turned back on.
Have you tried it?
Ive learned how to turn it off and easily turn it back on when needed. So if fact i have not left it off full time.@@RossPerryProductions
And is it so?
It didn’t work for me
Put a small piece of black adhesive vinyl on your windscreen to cover the camera . It’s almost invisible and has no effect on anything else.
thanks for the comment.
