    In this video, at a beach bar, I was caught in the frame when I was relaxing between trips to the ocean.😁I remember this moment a year later!👍Thank you for your videos about the hotel! They helped me choose the Mojito. Now, a year later, I'm going there again! Best regards and best wishes from Russia!🤝

      @juliahutchison1475 Well then I think you would definitely be able to school me on the do’s and don’ts of Cuba 😃. For the Mojito, get as many A la Cartes as they will let you. The chefs won first place in Cuba this year. Their food is incredible. Secondly, make sure you check out the cigar bar with Freddy. He’s a great guy and the atmosphere there is really fun and relaxed.

    You are doing good video. It's a nice place. Is there baños near the beach ? Because it look's a bit far away from the hotel.

      Thanks, Silvain. The mojito is a wonderful place. The bathrooms are at the beach bar if I remember correctly. I’m not entirely sure anymore. I’m going back soon so I’ll be sure to look.

      It's beautiful! It's only about a 3 - 5 minute walk across the lagoon to the beach.

    It seems like a long walk from the rooms to the beach? Also with the lagoon having jellyfish are there a lot on the beach? Wouldn’t the lagoon breed mosquitoes?

    • @markinthetrail
      @markinthetrail  9 месяцев назад

      @lillianliber1798 Great questions. The walk to the beach across the lagoon takes 3 to 5 minutes, not as bad as it may look. I haven’t experienced jellyfish in the ocean or seen them on the beach but that doesn’t mean they won’t be there. All I can say is that I’ve spent a lot of time in the ocean in Cayo Coco and haven’t seen one. I’m sure the lagoon doesn’t help the mosquito situation but planes fly over almost every morning to spray for them. We were there in the end of May and by the end of our week the mosquitoes were pretty bad, especially at the airport. Bug spray is a must have. Hope that helps.

      @@markinthetrail Thank you so much for answering! I am hoping to travel to Cayo Coco in November and was seriously considering Memories Caribe because of its smaller size. I have mobility issues and can walk, just not too far all at once. I don't want to travel with a wheelchair. That resort concerns me though as people have complained again about the lagoon in the center and the smell/insect issues. I'm not overly picky regarding food etc. but just want a nice, quiet holiday and Cuba seems to be the most affordable for my budget. Your video is the first I've seen of this resort and it looks like a possible alternative.

      @lillianliber I'm glad to be of help. It definitely can be challenging to find the right resort. My wife and I will be going back to Mojito soon. In all our travels we have never gone back to a resort but we fell in love with Mojito and the people that work there so we booked a second visit. Last vacation we spent our time at the Pullman but went for a day to visit the folks at Mojito. It just felt like home to us. Mobility is certainly a concern. At the Mojito, everything is on ground level. The lobby, buffet, disco, a la carte, band stand, shops, pool bar, etc.. is all one level. The cigar bar has a few steps but there is also a ramp. There are plenty of rooms at ground level too. I hope you find a resort to visit and that you have a great time when you're there. Cheers.

    Is there any fishjng

    • @markinthetrail
      @markinthetrail  11 месяцев назад

      I believe there is. I have never done it but from where the catamaran excursion sails (by the dolphinarium) there are fishing boats as well. I don’t know if there are any fishing spots from the shore.
