It’s so exciting to get another bike and explore all of its nuances. I used all of our previous bike’s 🏍 foot 🦶 peg positions including the passenger pegs to maintain comfort on long rides. May you have many new adventures on the night rod.
Congrats 🎉 ... The V-rod is such an odd bike, I've never really made up my mind about how I feel about them... But all that matters is that you have many happy miles on yours 😎
Congrats! I have a second bike for around town as well. Have an 18 Heritage and an 07 Sporster 1200 Custom. Hooebyoubhave a great time on the new bike.
A very nice pick of a bike with good power & comfort not bad for open it up therapy off the lights ....and they can do some good burn outs as well ... I recommend an ECU re-flash though.....And it sounds like your having fun with it so that's a good thing...A big thumbs up from me man well done on getting one of these
Very cool bike, love the dark look, why not have 2 bikes, I have my Road King and Iron 883 w/ stage 1 for around town riding. Have a blast riding it and congrats on your new purchase......
Man you went and pull the trigger on this bad boy! That is so awesome! Whats the power like as the HP should be better than most Harleys even if its 1200cc. The Cruise control lever is not standard and is an add on, but great to have. Can't wait to see what you will add to the bike..
Cool bike VRODs great second bike There are companies that make a 5 gallon tank but they are hard to find The 2007 model got the 5gal tank and 240 tire But they are about 37 pounds heavier The other thing thing people didn’t like it’s need it’s valves adjusted 😆 Not a big deal it’s every 12k miles and they use shims like sport bikes. The 1130cc is a good motor just take care of it. The VROD went to 1247cc in 2008 The one I liked was the Street Rod it has adjustable suspension and mid controls But the dealerships always wanted a lot for them, big twin money.
Yeah nice bike jp. Apparently the 2006 vrod were one the lowest preduction bikes said to have a lower centerpoint of gravity with a shorter rake to give the bike more control for cornering. I’ actually own 2006 streetrod thats been taken to the next level or two in regards aftermarket parts race tuned dyno’d ect there blood good bike in my eyes.
Hey victor...I get like 120miles from a tank of gas...I have the power commander and Vance and Hines exhaust...great bike! Thanks for watching and commenting!
Hi Alex, yeah, they are fun bikes, but mostly for going in a straight line. I joke because I had a blast with mine, but I traded it for a KLR and now a Duv=cati Scrambler...so many bikes, so little money. 😎😍
I also got NR last year, I have little bit of crotch rocket experience, by now you've figured out to get them RPMs up......4000 rpm its got power but nothing like 7000 It is much easier to get my butt off the seat and over the side than it is on my crotch rocket. Mine has 5gal tank, and if you keep it 4k and below you might get 40mpg, I'm not extremely fast rider but I love passing everybody in 2nd gear and that sucks down gas..... typically I get 37 casual riding....750crotch rocket I get 40 casual riding I got the NR because the long drawn out Sportster S just made me lose interest I took the NR on test ride.......went back to do it again......tested over an hr to check comfort on my shoulder and ribs....
It is a fun bike for sure, but i sold it to a guy when I bought a new Kawasaki KLR...wish I could have about ten bikes at once, but I only have room for two at a time. These days I have a 2018 Gold Wing non tour and the new KLR. Nest of both worlds. That GW will give you a fast smooth ride...and is very comfy doing it with all the amenities. Enjoy the NR! Great bike!
@@JP1970 got an Ultra 110ci......fast, wide glide 96ci.....not as fast.....Zuki 750 GSXS.....even more high rpm than NR, I'm usually running it 5-7k in 2-3rd in the curves Looking now at Scout new $11500 or FTR $13000, but to get 1 gotta get rid of 1
Nice ride, JP! 👌🏻 100 miles on the first day of ownership is a great indication of how much you’re enjoying the new steed. Weather looks lovely their. I’m waiting for a blue sky so I can get out. 🤞🏻
@@kspocketngroove3973 I had fun on it for a while-just not a big Harley fan I guess. I owned a Heritage and the V-rod, so I gave it a try. Thanks buddy!
Awesome JP! I think the V-Rods are pretty bad ass.
Hey man....thanks! Yeah, it is a fun bike for sure..thanks again! 👍😀
Sweet! When I picked up a 2000 Road King for a second bike, I was ecstatic, still am and ride them both. Congrats!
That is awesome!

Picking this exact bike up tomorrow! It’ll be my first Harley! I’m kinda pumped! Thanks for the review.
Hope you enjoy it! Let me know what you think! 👍🏁
I also own a 2006 nightrod. Fun! Bought it used in 2013. Still having fun .
Right on! Fun bike for sure...I traded it in on my new KLR, but the service guy a =t the dealer bought it, so I still get to see how she's doing. 😀
Congrats !!!! I always enjoyed riding the V Rods !
Thanks--Me too! 👍👍

Thanks Roland--it has a full Vance and Hines exhaust and a fuel pak tuner...she runs like a son a gun! 👍👍👍👍

I love it! Thanks!
Night Rod??? Nice! I always liked the V Rod bikes. Wouldn't mind picking up a Muscle to RIP around on 🤘😎
Oh yeah, but I think you bought that Honda 250, right? different kind of fun!
Love the Vrod I wish this bike would have been more popular. I keep an eye out Id like to get one as well.
Yeah, I hear you, but they did make it for like 18 years. It is a fun bike!
Nice. Do you still own the bike? How you like it after the yr of riding it?
I don't, but the guy I sold it to is loving it! Thanks!
I have had two bikes for 15 years. One is ultra high performance K1200S, the other is my Heritage.
Very cool--thanks!
Congratulations! Enjoy and be safe!
Thank you! Will do! 👍👍👍

Congrats man! I didn’t know they ever came with mids! That’s cool to know. Love the black on chrome man and looking forward to some new adventures b
a couple of models had Mid foot controls, there were also aftermarket kits.
Donald Kline Media awesome thanks man! My dads had forwards and is perfect for me. Waiting for him to just give it to me haahahah
Yeah, I guess for two years they did, and then they went just forward. Thanks buddy!

Thank you...the V-Rod doesn't get enough respect, I don't think, but it is the best Harley they ever made, in my opinion. 👽👍😃

I’m curious I’ve got a 2006 and I get maybe a 100 hundred miles to the tank I have a power commander is that what you get?
Hey victor...I get like 120miles from a tank of gas...I have the power commander and Vance and Hines exhaust...great bike! Thanks for watching and commenting!
My dad has one of these, he tells me how they’re not made anymore, I really wish I could but it from him

Niccce bike 👍😎🏍🎥👊
Thanks ✌
I don't know if I want a night rod or vrod muscle
I hear you man...that muscle has the bigger rear tire, and it is nice too. Both great choices!
Nice ride, JP! 👌🏻 100 miles on the first day of ownership is a great indication of how much you’re enjoying the new steed.

you still have it??
i read that you trade it; traitor!! i guess it was not much fun after all
No sir-had it for about a year, but sold it. It was fun but I’ve moved on.
