? Are you talking about the trim level of the pipes? Has practically nothing to do with the tone of the instrument. The interior bores are African blackwood or Cocobola regardless of whether the mounts, ferrules and caps are plastic imitating ivory or hand engraved sterling silver. Reputable pipe makers put good wood into every instrument because they are building loyalty with the musicians and want them to come back for their next upgrade.
