    Ms. Lolly I've researched and viewed RUclips videos for TN Faux Dori & Faux Bonichi type of covers for the past 2-3yrs. Your video is by far the most effective, simplistic, easy to understand and follow step by step (minus the sewing) video I've every come across. It's great to see you didn't sacrifice function or creativity. Thank you so much, love your concept. Excited to see and learn from the rest of your content. Really enjoyed your video, new subbie TFS 💓 ~ Sara

    This is exactly what I was planning on making. I love my store bought but I prefer to just fold copy paper in half so I need to make my own size. I also love the fact that with 2 attached elastics and 2 extras you can easily attach 6 books without any trouble. Since I love my books nice and fat, that is a huge advantage for me. Great work. Nice to know what I am planning will work.

    So cute! I love it. ♥️ I may give it a try. So far I’ve only made notebooks.
    One thing I now do is measure mine in metric. Much easier to do as midori notebooks are 11cm x 22xm. No more fractions to deal with. An added bonus for us internationally is that an A4 sheet of paper folded in half is automatically the 22cm measurement. Only the 11cm cut is required. 😊

    • @LollyPalooza
      @LollyPalooza  6 лет назад

      I used to offer measurements in both cm and inches, and I quit because all I was doing was searching online to convert the measurements, which anyone can do. It does seem though that most TN sizes were originally in metric, due to Midori brand. Thanks for watching!

      Yes, they do fray a bit, and you could use some sort of sealant if you wish.

    I love this video! This is what I plan to give for Christmas gifts! I can't wait to get started! Hope the measures I took in my notes are correct! Are they already written somewhere? I have tons of fabric and found the pellon at Joanns

      I did 8.75 X 10.5, but it depends on the size of the paper inserts you will be using. There are so many sizes to choose from.

    Hi Lollythat was a fab video,
    I would like to try and create one.
    My question is which needle size did you use in your sewing machine to pierce the thick Pelion?
    I am new to sewing and am still learning, so much I need to ask. Any tips would be helpful.

    • @LollyPalooza

      I actually don't change my needle out. The Pellon is easy to sew on. I think there's a 14/16 guage in my machine?

      It's been awhile. If it's Recollections brand, then it's Michaels -- that's their brand.

    great video, my problem is when i use the eyelets, especially if they do not have the washer to go with them, they always crack and split in the back leaving sharp edges. I've tried a few brands of eyelets but all seems to be the same. I know there is a trick on the pressure but it seems like the eyelets go from "nope not gonna close" to "bam! i'm going to split now" So very frustrating. I've tried both my handheld c-a-d and the c-a-d big bite

      yes, I have more of the tiny eyelets split than the larger ones. I have turned them over (split side up) and tapped with a hammer a couple of times, and it makes sure there are no rough edges.

    In love 😍 with the result!! Thank you so much for sharing!! New subbie here 🙋🏻‍♀️ Question? Will the new hot press from cricut easypress make the process quicker instead of using the iron??
