Eventually some people don't get metaphors easily, so as an example, I can tell that I set myself free from the depression years ago, when I sat down to welcome it, rather than push it away. I looked deeply into the "eye" of depression, to see its true nature. What I realized after some minutes of meditation is that depression is just another door into the infinite. As we welcome it and open it by pulling it closer, it can reveal its true nature.

Every prison door has a guard. Even if the door stands ajar, the prisoner needs to wait for the guard who is meant to lead the prisoner to the exit point. Prisoners don't have free wiil.
What the wise Rumi has told here is : You have the option to take the leap into the light, But what the society has indoctrinated makes the person believe that the prison is far better than the light, he or she won't know what to do after they are in the light, the light could be harmful they may believe, the prison has sustained them till now, why not it sustain them even more, so they tend to believe going in to the light would have more harm than the harm in the prisons of their mind. We are taught to believe the painful situation we are in normal life is far less risky and when we step into the light , we might be the only ones with only ourselves. This is the vicious cycle of the negative mind. The darkness can be compelling but light only presents itself as a choice. That's the hard part. But no matter what even if we never choose the light and shut the doors to it, it does not mean the light has disappeared. Forge forward. It will be painful. And many don't even understand your pain and might laugh too. Laughter not because of pride or hubris but the laughter that hides the filth of jealousy and contempt in their mind. You will make it in life
I am so grateful for music to exist in our lifes. There is some music that just make me feel stuff that I can't feel any other way. Why do I cry so hard when I hear this track, this duduk? For some reason it reminds me of all the terrible things that I lived through, some pain that I felt, but I actually haven't. You have the option to take the leap into the light,
But what the society has indoctrinated makes the person believe that the prison is far better than the light, he or she won't know what to do after they are in the light, the light could be harmful they may believe, the prison has sustained them till now, why not it sustain them even more, so they tend to believe going in to the light would have more harm than the harm in the prisons of their mind. We are taught to believe the painful situation we are in normal life is far less risky and when we step into the light , we might be the only ones with only ourselves. This is the vicious cycle of the negative mind. The darkness can be compelling but light only presents itself as a choice. That's the hard part. But no matter what even if we never choose the light and shut the doors to it, it does not mean the light has disappeared. Forge forward. It will be painful. And many don't even understand your pain and might laugh too. Laughter not because of pride or hubris but the laughter that hides the filth of jealousy and contempt in their mind. You will make it in life

I am so grateful for music to exist in our lifes. There is some music that just make me feel stuff that I can't feel any other way.
Why do I cry so hard when I hear this track, this duduk? For some reason it reminds me of all the terrible things that I lived through, some pain that I felt, but I actually haven't. Feels like I lived thousands of years, but in different lifes and when I hear that duduk it brings all the pain from these lifes.
I just can't control myself but cry...
